Macro Mondays - Stone Rhyming Zone

Just because I could.

Just another shot while getting in close on the band.

Staircase in a hotel in Prague, where the ground floor furnishing offered the opportunity for an unusual composition ;-)

I thought I'd do something a little different on this image. Instead of spending a ton of time processing the image, I wanted to do something more natural. I literally spent more time fighting the urge to make more adjustment than adjusting. I only made 3 adjustments on this image, nothing else. I darkened the exposure. I raised the shadows up on the mountains and gravel bar. I leveled the picture. That's it. Nothing else. What do you think Should I have done more?

For Macro Mondays "Transportation" Theme.

This is the adjustment screw for an oscillating water sprinkler head. The screw adjusts the length of the spray and to some extent the breadth.

I found this image while driving behind a retail store in Humble Texas. This has to be symbolic or a metaphor of something! Photo was taken with a Canon 80D with a EF-S 18-135mm lens, with some adjustments made in post-processing.

Details of an old Crescent Wrench. For the Macro Mondays Group. Topic: Tools and Utensils.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi There!

I wouldn't have believed it until I saw this happen, but the parent physically corrected this very cheeky gosling not once, but twice, the second time causing the gosling to fall over. I am not certain what the gosling did wrong, but it was certainly something very naughty. I've always been fascinated by bird and animal behaviour, so it was fascinating to watch all of this transpire.

After the two "adjustments," the gosling looked as cheeky as ever, but kept its distance from the family. I guess this was the "Wild Child!"

I want to thank you for your views and your comments. I do love hearing from you! Have a great weekend!

A Snowy Egret makes a mid-flight course correction.

This photo was taken for "Vowel" theme on the Macro Mondays group.

Something that starts with a vowel (the letter a, e, i, o, u).

I used the letter "a" for adjust. The photo contains a small in flight analog adjustment knob on a FrSky Radio for controlling RC model aircraft.

Photo taken at Randfontein in South Africa.

I am open to critique.

Thank you all very much for your visits, favs and comments. Each one is dearly appreciated!

I have not messed with the colour in any way. I've adjusted contrast, detail, and exposure.

I'm not the only one who takes pictures of Cottage Lake.

During my first ever visit to Louisville, Kentucky, we made a quick stop by the most famous racetrack in America...Churchill Downs - Home of the Kentucky Derby. While taking in as much of the grounds as we could from the outside, this Chevrolet Corvette with a California license plate (I believe a 2014) pulled up and parked. I asked the driver if he minded if I took a couple of photos and ended up with this final result. The yellow color of the Corvette looks great with the gold lettering on the Churchill Downs building in the background and a little rain adds to the magic!

Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
