Taken for active assignment weekly - it's not what it seems.
WIT: taken with a 50mm fixed lens from a very low view point. I wanted to try to enter a photo not taken with a macro lens for this week (though I will probably do that later), and instead taken from an interesting vantage point.

I am very active at our local library, so I decided to make a storyboard for the children with a lot of my bird photos. Will try to make a cross chart so thery can learn the names of the birds. If I get ambitous, I make the bird houses I build to go along with the storyboard.

CicLAvia is a 501(c)3 non-profit that catalyzes vibrant public spaces, active transportation, and good health through car-free streets. CicLAvia engages with people to transform our relationship with our communities and with each other.
Inspired by Bogotá’s weekly ciclovÃa, CicLAvia temporarily closes streets to car traffic and opens them to Angelenos to use as a public park. Free for all, CicLAvia connects communities to each other across an expansive city, creating a safe place to bike, walk, skate, roll, and dance through Los Angeles County.
Robert Braun,
leads an active research program focused on the design of advanced flight systems and technologies for planetary exploration and has contributed to numerous spaceflight projects. He has also served as a senior leader for several engineering and technology organizations at NASA, including service as the NASA Chief Technologist in 2010-2011. From 1989 to 2003, he was a member of the technical staff of the NASA Langley Research Center. Dr. Braun received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State, M.S. in Astronautics from the George Washington University, and Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, Editor-in-Chief of the AIAA Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, Vice Chair of the NRC Space Studies Board, and the author or co-author of over 275 technical publications in the fields of atmospheric flight dynamics, planetary exploration, design optimization, and systems engineering.

We went on a missions trip to the Zuni Reservation and taught at a school. It was actually a lot of work (I gained an appreciation for my teachers). We took one day off and went to this state park, and took a hike.
Active Assignment Weekly - June 29 to July 6th - Rhythm
When looking for rhythm........I found it here, very simple but the formation of the prints caused my eye to go back and forth across the scene :)
Wit--Just some animal prints (Deer) found on a walk, they caught my eye because how deep in the sand they were. This is pretty much straight out of the camera, except a slight crop.
Festival Active Pass 2016 is now over. Participants enjoyed guided walks, garden tours, boat and kayak tours, presentations, workshops, and a mini film festival, plus a Concert, a special Whale Song Luncheon, the fabulous Festival Banquet, a Community Dance, and a Locavore Brunch.
