This was what appeared to be a freshly painted SW car on the exterior, however it had no windows nor any internal fitting out - it would seem different cars had things done in different order. The paint needs a bit of touching up yet and the underside still needs doing. A worker is applying something to the underframe using what appears to be an air-powered gun - while it might look like a needle-gun, when zoomed in it looks to be some air-powered adhesive or gap filler gun. The main reason I took this photo though was the accommodation bogie - a Type 18A, Scheffel steerable bogie as used on the CB Class coal wagons. Despite providing less drawbar resistance over the trainlength, apparently they were a paint to maintain so were superceeded by the rigid Type 18B bogie which started to be retrofitted to the CB's and has appeared on may other NZ wagons. You can still find some CB's with the 18A but as shown here, some of the bogies have been repurposed for other uses. Visit to Hillside Workshops, 1st June 2007

The final destination for the armored ship iin this trip s located at the end of the former naval port "Haaven het Groote Dok". During the first period in Hellevoetsluis, the ship will be docked in the Jan Blanken Dry Dock.
This was not an easy maneuver because the pulling tugboat could now not go ahead without locking itself in the dock. The large ship was guided very slowly into the dock, which was extra difficult because it only just fit and of course the historic dock itself could not be damaged..

Ramtorenschip De Buffel (Est. 1896) - this ironclad ram ship was in service of the Royal Dutch Navy until 1973 as "Hr.Ms. Buffel" or "HNLMS Buffel" (NATO number A 884). The first ship of the Royal Dutch Navy without sails, a heavy armored ram ship using a steam engine and two propellers. Equiped with an armament of a ram on her bow, several guns, serviced by a crew of 150 men. Her main task was to play a role in the Dutch coastal defense, later in use as an accommodation ship. From February 7, 2015, the Buffel is permanent moored at the Koningskade, Maritime Quarter of Fortresse Holland together with the other historic ships such as the minesweeper Bernisse, the Lightship 12 de Noord-Hinder (1963) and of course the stone Dry Dock Jan Blanken from 1806 with pump house.
