Sleeps 2 (4): From the little parking area, you meander along a pebble pathway through a copse of trees to these 2 cosy half timber cabins, situated alongside each other overlooking fields and forest. It's Thursday, officially the day when everyone takes down their Christmas tree. As a celebration of this I thought I would make the most of this small gingerbread house I was given. Unfortunately, it takes horrible!

The accommodation in Reinden Woods was associated to nearby RAF Hawkinge, the closest allied airfield on British soil to the channel and occupied Europe. The airfield itself was subject to a number of air raids, as was the site at Reinden Woods, and evidence of craters still remains.
There is reference online to a Satellite Ammunition Storage Site being located at Hawkinge, and this may have been located at Reinden Woods, however little documentary evidence remains of this.
The wood is still currently in the hands of the MOD as a training area, but a permissive public footpath circumvents the area.
Now converted for use as the mess room and communal kitchen for the Eco Bus campsite.

The Ascent to Entoto Kidane Mehret.
Along the anticipated and continued reasonably steep climb of the road is the experience of native forest (30) within arm's length of a charming but surprising experience. Just here very close, on the right side of the road, the juniper forest reveals its mighty guise of a wholly fenced but mighty Juniper forest (30) that spreads out vigorously from the steep ascent beginning and up to the road's clearance, entirely beside Entoto Kidane Mehret (32).
