I need help / suggestions.

My plans are to try:

- add better support for the wheels (top and bottom)

- Use a higher torque motor and gear it up again (24->8 + 24->8) or use a single 40 -> 8

No longer in service, this is the Cockroft-Walton accelerator that was used to inject high-energy protons into the 200 MeV LINAC for further acceleration before being delivered to the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron.

Some of the Collider-Accelerator Department team who worked on the 2012 run at Brookhaven National Laboratory's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC).

“Not only did the RHIC collider perform exceptionally well this year, but the STAR detector also performed very well, with record values for the detector uptime and efficiency for sampling the luminosity delivered by RHIC,” said Bill Christie, the STAR operations coordinator. “The combination of the record luminosity delivered by RHIC, and the high operational efficiency for the STAR detector allowed us to exceed our physics data goals by about 40 percent for the 200 GeV proton-proton run, and by a factor of two for the 510 GeV proton-proton run.”

290 trillion watts per billionths of a second, about 80 times the entire world's output of electricity held at a research lab in Sandia New Mexico. It achieved 1.6 million degrees C by stretching Plasma Particle along the z axis cause a reaction resembling Fusion. Fusion has not been achieved prior to this so compairing theary and how fusion is creating molicules and not destoying them. Something from nothing. No more energy problems!

The Alternating Gradient Synchrotron's Cockroft-Walton generator. No longer in use, this is the device that was used to provide the initial acceleration to protons prior to injection into a linear accelerator and then on to the AGS.

Sandia National Laboratories technologist Nicole Cofer inspects a target she fabricated for Sandia’s Thor pulsed-power accelerator, which has a revolutionary architecture optimized for megabar-class material physics experiments. The target is designed to hold materials that can be studied by pulsed power researchers under extreme conditions.

The street lights on the upper middle of the photo seem to be shot into the light beam of the cars. I just thought about the LHC of Cern when taking this picture. What I also tried was a clear separation of light and dark to get an almost two-colored black and white shot. Additionally I cropped it to 1:1 for a harmonic presentation of the beam.

Researchers at Brookhaven National Laboratory are investigating how lasers can be used to create plasma -- neutral mixtures of positive ions and negative electrons -- from different materials. They hope to use this plasma to create higher current particle beams. This efficient, simpler method of producing particle beams might be used for cancer therapy, to develop new energy sources, or in synchrotrons.

These cats are ceramic. All the works are based on leaf metal and dried leaves, covered with multiple layers of oil painting.

The size of the pendants varies from 4,5 to 6 cm. They are all staffed with waxed cords, about 50 cm long each.

...And the human walks on. The catalyst human, the substance human, the formula human, the shadow human.

Every leaf has a face, and the human gets reflected in every leaf; in the snow he gets reflected and in the telegraph wires.

The naked trees are trembling in the wind: the Earth's freshly washed hair.

She is riding a bus, and a heap of leaves is rustling, struggling, yelling out there behind the window.

He is a janitor, and he is sweeping the asphalt. Their eyes meet for a moment, but then the foliage forms an impervious curtain between them. Where is she going? What for?

A cat is sitting near the porch, touching a fallen leaf with its paw. No one can see the cat, and it is impossible to tell whether it really exists, or does not.

A granny is sitting on a bench, watching the trees leaving their leaves so dartingly. The granny hopes to see the next leaf fall, too, and this is the only thing that keeps her living on all the year round.

All this is a stream of little events, and these events will never happen anymore, for the river of time is flowing too fast.

***

There was no catalyst human, and no one used to accelerate the natural process of the leaf fall; but the cat and the granny do believe in that special human, and therefore the human has to exist.

The white shadow human is walking through the park, and the leaves are throwing themselves into the human's face.

1963. A 4 MeV electron accelerator, which injected electrons into the vacuum chamber, is shown. This accelerator, at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory (now Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory), produced a 0.3 microsecond, 150 ampere, 4 MeV electron beam with repetition rate variable to 60 pps. Nicholas Christofilos invented the induction linear accelerator (or induction linac) to meet Astron’s need. Today, induction linacs are the heart of critically important facilities for hydrodynamic testing for the Stockpile Stewardship Program.
