Okay, where to start with this? Alexa and I hopped over to the latest round of Fameshed last week, and somehow through numerous tangents, that spiraled into a quest to find these lacy half pant thingies. We had to have them after seeing them randomly on a Flickr page and when we finally tracked them down, they were not quite what we expected. There was a reason the girl in our Flickr sighting was wearing them with a long sweater and giant handbag! The waistline of these was odd. Hideous, even. I can say that because I don’t blog, and yes, after that declaration, I don’t think anyone is gonna be knocking on my pixel door asking me to!
But, the pants. By now, we were a couple of hours into shopping, so we were invested! We were determined to style them, and there you have it, our obsession with the style challenge was hatched. We had ridiculous amounts of fun building a look and photo shoot around a single piece of clothing. And at one point I told Alexa that the only way these things were gonna work was with a skirt over them, and she said, “No!” Yep … and look how flipping KooL she looks with that edgy pencil skirt in the mix!
If this isn’t what SL is all about, then I don’t know what is. Amazing times spent with cherished friends and inspiration to fuel our creativity around every corner. Alexa, I think we’re both already looking forward to episode two! Love you!

This spot was an absolute bugger to get to and having finally accomplished it sat here for some 5 hours before moving to Greenholme for the evening. This was the last main objective here despite being slightly backlit and fortunately it didn't coincide with a cloud. I would have preferred a Grid on this but heyho.
I’m playing around in the garden with the constantly rewarding 105mm lens, and here’s the very top of our Diascia ‘apple blossom’, a patio plant which produces an absolute riot of tiny flowers throughout the summer.
The $2.3 million Aston Martin Vulcan stole the show at this year's Pittsburgh International Auto Show. This is one of three Vulcan's in the United States and one of only 24 that will be built. Thanks to Aston Martin Cleveland for bringing this amazing machine to our show and letting the people of Pittsburgh see it in person.

The 19th of September on the Island of La Palma started an eruption at the Cumbre Vieja volcanic ridge.The longest eruption (86 days) in the history of the island, and the most destructive in the last century in Europe, was finally declared over by experts on Christmas Day.
Lava flows from the new volcano have destroyed 1,646 buildings – 1,318 of which were homes – as well as 73 kilometers of roads and 369 hectares of crops. The advance of the molten rock, which has covered 1,221 hectares of land, forced the evacuation of more than 7,000 people. Among these, some 2,300 residents of La Palma have lost their homes.
What is left over is a cone with all kinds of colors, hard to believe all the damage and suffering it provoked.

La baie des Chaleurs est un bras du golfe du Saint-Laurent séparant la péninsule gaspésienne (Québec) de la péninsule acadienne (Nouveau-Brunswick). Ce nom a été donné par l’explorateur français Jacques Cartier en raison de la brume qui la recouvrait lorsqu'il l'a découverte, ce qui lui donna la fausse impression que l'eau était chaude. Bay Of Chaleur
Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada
Chaleur Bay or Baie des Chaleurs - also known informally in English as Bay of Chaleur due to the influence of its French translation - is an arm of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence located between Quebec and New Brunswick.
It bathes 120 km of the northeastern shore of New Brunswick and most of the Gaspésie's south shore. It is nearly 50 km wide between Bathurst and New Carlisle and is over twenty-five kilometres wide for most of its length. At the bottom of the bay is the estuary of the Restigouche River. The bay, named by explorer Jacques Cartier, translates to English as "bay of warmth" or "bay of torrid weather".

On the morning of July 1st, 2023 brought forward the absolute high of our trip out West in Alliance, NE. BNSF loaded coal train C-WTMPAM1-27A was getting ready to depart Alliance just as we arrived with a Burlington Northern EMD SD70MAC on point in the striking executive scheme. With our plan to head east coinciding with their plans to head east, we chased the train as far as we could: roughly 300 miles from Alliance to Aurora. Seen here BNSF 9687 East highballs through the Sandhills of western Nebraska, and into a pocket of sunlight created due to the rolling clouds to the west, and the rolling storms to the east.
