Wishing you all a happy and creative week ahead ;-))
A year ago I never would have taken this photo. The reason: the street was so narrow that I had to step into someone’s garden and stand with my back against their house to get this shot. A year ago, I wouldn’t have been bold enough to do this. I’ve changed. ;)
I love that in front of this white house with black accents, and a cool, high wheeler bicycle decoration, a white car just happened to be parked. And in a no parking zone no less! This delights and amuses me. I think this photo was meant to be.
A National Airlines Airbus A330-200 [N819CA] on final approach to runway 12R at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport earlier today. This aircraft was operating as a military charter.
There were many dramatic storm showers throughout the day, but I had seen the majority of them while I was working. I called in at Attenborough Nature Reserve on my way home to Beeston from Long Eaton and hoped to capture some drama as the light was fading. A full bore sunset failed to materialise - instead, I was given this tantalising glimpse of colour as the sun peeked through the clouds ever so briefly.
I had a bit of a disappointing start to the day, despite good conditions predicted there was no mist to be seen around Corfe Castle where I was first thing this morning.
Luckily tonights sunset was absolutely beautiful at my local beach. On the ledge there is also another photographer enjoying the conditions.
I think I am getting into a bit of a rut. I need to think of somewhere different to go.
A Lonely Swan
Taken at one of the many lakes in the area known as Radley Lakes, while I was happily watching the sun go down a soliarity swan swam by.
A see-though metallic sun sign shines in front of a cloud-laden sky. Still posting from my archives, probably will be for a while.
This is a view from the vineyards, which are so typical for the region where I live, down on the town Mundelsheim and the horseshoe bend of the river Neckar. I took a walk there on Sunday afternoon to make the best of the sunshine after a rather gloomy morning. Some more photos of the vineyards will follow although they may not be particularly interesting at this time of year, they are just green and there are no grapes on the vines yet.
This photo is a panorama consisting of 10 photos stitched together in Lightroom.
A child is........
A butterfly in the wind,
Some can fly higher than others;
but each one flies the best it can.
Why compare one against the other?
Each one is different!
Each one is special!
Each one is beautiful!

A journalist is supposed to present an unbiased portrait of an event, a view devoid of intimate emotions. This is impossible, of course. The framing of an image, by its very composition, represents a choice. The photographer chooses what to show and what to exclude.

In a friend's office, each time that they have a successful business, they ring the bell as a way to motivate their team.
I wish it sounds many times this year for him and every of you too.

A tranquil river winds its way to the horizon, flanked by woods on the left bank. Sunlight dances on the water's surface, creating a shimmering path that stretches as far as the eye can see.

One thing I quickly learned about the Pacific North West is that the weather there shifts worse than living in Michigan. With what was lining up to be rain all day was anything but that. With showers definitely coming and going all day, almost every single one was followed by nice sucker holes. 1807 with a large cut of center beams rolls through the town of Lebanon for points east/south. The A&E scheme is simple but catchy and looks good on the GE'zz, now if we could get a nose logo to complete it that would be great.
A Misty Moorland
A trip up to my new location at Nenthead near Alston in Cumbria this morning. The forecast for the area was fog...and it was one of those times when they got it exactly right. It was cold, windy and very foggy out there.. I spent an hour making loads of shots around the area...this the first...
Please feel free to share with your friends and family should you wish to.

A ratos vivo,
a ratos vuelo.
A ratos pienso,
y a ratos siento.
Hay ratos que olvido
y me siento muerto.
A ratos veo el sol,
y a ratos me veo ciego.
A ratos creo
y soy testigo
que sólo a ratos
tengo presente.
El resto son sólo
ratos perdidos
de tiempo ausente.

It was a new day for the City of Toronto. A new era begins as John Tory's first day as mayor commences. No more shenanigans. Now lets get this city moving again.
