#171/365 Breakfast Cereal macro style! Nothing but the healthy stuff here! This was an idea I had..not sure if it all worked out. The coco puff looks like a swedish meatball. But you know you all loved these as a kid! I'm sure there are plenty I have lefted out. Hopefully this makes you want to eat a bowl of yummy sugar...I mean cereal.

Lucerne's Jesuit Church is the first large baroque church built in Switzerland north of the alps. First and foremost is an expression of the Catholic Church's 17th century struggle to regain spiritual leadership in the counter-reformation. At the same time it does show that the Catholics then refused to accept any discussion on major points of criticism by the protestant churches. Instead, baroque architecture displays power and glory and emphasizes exactly those parts of Catholic tradition (especially the veneration of saints) and visual culture (as opposed to the protestant emphasis on the word of the biblical scriptures).
There is perfect logic that Lucerne, seeing itself as the capital of the Catholic fraction of Switzerland in pre-modern times, should have constructed this building. Today, Jesuit Church is a major tourist attraction and serves as a concert hall while it has become almost irrelevant to local church life from a religious point of view.

For anyone interested in the subject of water, a visit to Holland will be attractive. Holland is a country of water. As the French put it: ‘God created the world, but the Dutch made Holland’. A quarter of Holland is below sea level. Tourists arriving at Schiphol Airport are more than four meters below sea level. The many canals, lakes, dykes, bridges and polders give the Netherlands its special character. The country is an extensive network of waterways, all sorts of accommodation on and near the water, many maritieme museums, picturesque old towns and many attractions and events on the water like here in Marken. The IJssellake is an enormous freshwater lake and perfect for swimming, water sports and fishing. A former island Marken is now a peninsula in the IJssellake. The famous lighthouse of Marken called The horse of Marken, given its name due to its shape ('paard' means 'horse' in dutch). The original was built in 1700, then reconstructed on top of the early foundations in 1839. It's still in use today for the recreational watersportsmen and woman. Generated by electricity now, it gives 6 seconds of light, then 2 seconds in the dark.
Photo taken in Marken, a peninsula in the IJssellake. An ideal place for a relaxing day soaking up typical Dutch scenery.

Come, and trip it as ye go
On the light fantastic toe,
And in thy right hand lead with thee,
The mountain-nymph, sweet Liberty;
And if I give thee honour due,
Mirth, admit me of thy crew
To live with her, and live with thee,
In unreproved pleasures free;
To hear the lark begin his flight,
And singing startle the dull night,
From his watch-tower in the skies,
Till the dappled dawn doth rise;
Then to come in spite of sorrow,
And at my window bid good-morrow,
Through the sweet-briar, or the vine,
Or the twisted eglantine;
While the cock with lively din,
Scatters the rear of darkness thin,
And to the stack, or the barn door,
Stoutly struts his dames before;
Oft list'ning how the hounds and horn
Cheerly rouse the slumb'ring morn,
From the side of some hoar hill,
Through the high wood echoing shrill.

This little dog looked so cute driving his BMW M3 convertible down the street. He was playing his radio so loudly I could hear the song on his radio: Eagle's song "Take It Easy." You know that line "Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy." I think it's fair to say we shouldn't let the sound of other people's wheels drive us crazy either.
I am posting a black swallowtail next to a Spicebush Swallowtail so the observer can see the differences. The dorsal views are in the comment section. Notice the Black has seven orange spots on the inner ring of orange spots. It is also possible to see the eye spot with pupil.

About:
Still in the week of the Earth, Wind & Fire assignment and still shots from my early morning trip on Saturday.
This shot was not really blue nor was it really orange/yellow/red, so I wanted to play around on the white balance a little. I ended up on this greenish look :))
In the sky you'll see a trail. Thor, the great Thunder God, ride the sky at this hour to chase those deadly Jötnar away! This is the trail he leaves behind!
Thor is the protector of all good Vikings. Just to bad that those f**** neo nazis are using the old Norse mythology in there campaign! They are giving the old Norse mythology a bad name in Norway :(
Trond thinks that Thor is looking for his dinner candles :))
I'm still hoping that Thor one day will stop his chariot drawn by the goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr and share a meal with me at the camp fire.
Discussion
Comments and critique are as always welcome. Let me hear your opinion, why do you like this, or even better, how would you approach this scenery. Give me your thoughts... If you can't find anything to critique, a simple "nice" is cool too :))

The ladies usually meet him during casual walks in parks… soft talk, vulnerable look and sweet blueberry eyes…
Once the first contact is established, he begins to tell his sad and sour tale…
He start by telling them that even though he looks like a lime-frog, ‘deep inside’ he’s a real prince, stranded from his true destiny by deceitful and unfortunately events in his life.
He also tells them he has a beautiful Kingdom in a far, far away land awaiting for his glorious return along with his new Queen, the women of his dreams and the one that with a kiss, has ended all his suffering and saved him from his cruel lime-frog destiny...
So far… 435 romantic women have believed in him.
However, more victims are still being accounted for…
So if you see this frog around… don't believe his apparently sweet blueberry eyes and whatever happens, don't fall for his 'kissing scam!'
...because most of the times in our lives a man is just a man, a frog is just a frog, a lime is just a lime and above all... a lime-frog is just a lime-frog.

"I could stay there for a lifetime"
Better days with brighter sunshines are coming. Everyone's "Woohoo !" !
- This title also tries to make a comparison between the ephemeral poppies, and our human condition, which is ephemeral as well, but in another way(s)... -
This afternoon, i came back home earlier than usual. After two fruitless hours in front off my tv, i decided to look out the window.
The weather was cloudy and we almost couldn't see the sun. I had to wait before going outside with my camera.
And there was not much to do inside. Actually i didn't really check out what i could do because i wanted to breathe some refreshing and sunny air, and maybe to take some pictures as well...
But i hoped this was not going to last long.
Twenty minutes later, without asking myself more questions, i opened the door and jumped outside.
Sometimes you easily become aware of things, habits you'd always like to live with... Your will can change everything without a lot of efforts.
I decided to ride my bike if ever the clouds would have liked to wring themselves.
Though despite that i put rain clothes into my bag, nothing happened.
In fact, i couldn't know that the bad weather that persisted this entire week was going to change into a beautiful and sunny afternoon allowing me to find my smile back.
At that moment of the day, when the sun suddenly appeared from behind the clouds now disapearing, i found a wheat field full of poppies. The first one this year !
I couldn't even dream of it !
The horizon was immense, i couldn't see anything but wheat, and wheat, and poppies... And the sun was wonderfully reflecting on the wheat dancing with the wind... The sun was not so hot on my skin, and sometimes the wind was a little cold. But it was an intense feeling, only the fact of being here, lost in the immensity.
I could stay there for a lifeftime.
I only stayed two hours, or more. I don't know. In fact i don't even remember.
I was feeling alive for the very first time this year :D

Et salut à vous tous mes amis,

My first attempt at HDR imaging, handheld shot of boats on the Carenage, in St. George's, Grenada. I'm loving this already...

Eilean Donan, Scottish Gaelic for Island of Donan, is a small island in Loch Duich in the western Highlands of Scotland. It is connected to the mainland by a footbridge and lies about half a mile from the village of Dornie. Eilean Donan is named after St Donan, a Celtic saint martyred in the Dark Ages. The original castle was built in 1220 for Alexander II as a defence against the Vikings. This century it has become one of Scotland most photographed castles thanks to its picturesque setting on an islet in Loch Duich by the main road to the Isle of Skye. In 1984 it featured in the movie Highlander with Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery.
We just got back from our holiday from Scotland. Despite the rain, rain and rain we had a great holiday. We visit the two cities Edinburgh, Glasgow and went hiking in the Highlands of Scotland on the beautiful isle of Skye. We all go soaking wet everyday but our fireplace at our cottage and Scottish Whiskey kept me warm. Many new photos but have to finish my photo book too ;-) Above photo taken on our way the Isle of Skye. The famous Eilean Donan castle captured just before the start of heavy rain fall.
