What an amazing sunset on this day here in San Antonio, Texas. Again ! Another awesome sunset with natural perspective and depth, the extraordinary colors and light in the distance clouds looks explosive. Enjoy my friends, hope y'all like it.

Let's leave this Forster's Tern just about back where it was at the start of this series, then on to something new tomorrow. Above Armand Bayou.
Eigentlich hatte ich ein ganz anderes Fotomotiv in der südlichen HafenCity in der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg vor der Nase, aber bei einem Blick über die Elbe kann man es einfach nicht übersehen: das „Lighthouse Zero“, wie sein Erfinder und Bauherr, der Unternehmer Arne Weber den weißen Betonbau in Pilzform nennt.
Das kreisrunde Wohnhaus mit einer Fläche von ca. 230 m² steht auf einem 20 m hohen Betonschaft, der im Grundriss 3 m Durchmesser hat.Ein gläserner Fahrstuhl halb außen sowie eine Wendeltreppe innen führen nach oben.
Der Schaft ist aus vier Betonfertigteilen zusammengesetzt, die Wohnebene wurde mit Ortbeton realisiert. Entwurf und Planung kommt von BIWERMAU Architekten, Hamburg.
Das Dach trägt eine große Terrasse sowie ein umlaufendes Band mit Photovoltaikelementen.
Der Turm sollte eigentlich nur vier Jahre stehen, dann hätte er wieder verschwinden müssen. Dem Bauherrn war das eigentlich recht, denn er plant ähnliche Objekte als Serie. Am Baakenhöft steht aber nun schon fast 10 Jahre lang der Prototyp als spektakuläre Werbung für sein Produkt.

Otto Piene (* 18. April 1928 in Laasphe; † 17. Juli 2014 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Künstler und Mitbegründer der Künstlergruppe ZERO. Er gilt als ein Wegbereiter der Licht- und Feuerkunst sowie der Sky-Art-Aktionen.
Im Kunstpalast, in Düsseldorf ist zur Zeit eine lohnenswerte Ausstellung zu sehen. Ein Privatsammler stellte dem Museum Werke von O. P. zur Verfügung, die sonst im öffentlichen Raum nicht zu sehen sind.
Da ich ein großer Fan der ZERO-Künstlergruppe bin, habe ich die Feuer-Ausstellung direkt an ihrem zweiten Tag besucht, trotz 32° Grad "Hitze".
Langsam glaube ich nicht mehr an Zufälle ... ;-).
Konnte ich doch zuschauen, wie eine Dame, die für dieses Bild "fast Modell gestanden" haben könnte, sich das wunderschöne Piene-Bild erschloss.
Ich sah "Sie" kommen und erkannte direkt ihre Silhuette, ihre Aura. Es entstand ein entgegengesetzter Lauf. Das obere Bilddrittel wurde ihre Gloriole. Da konnte ich zero widerstehen ... :::)))

A silly shot today. A couple of days ago I walked out my front door and there were these awesome clouds to the left side of my house. They all looked like flying saucers. I turned to my right to see this one lost and lonely cloud all by itself. It immediately reminded me of Jack's dog Zero, from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Does anyone else see it or is it just me????
Being on the Munich Oktoberfest this sign is best known for direction to the most important location. Most people explore it! It was a blue sky, the sun shining directly into the camera. This texture was necessary to pop up the scene.
