They are very beautiful, I wished I can get them closely and touched their soft and beautiful skin, they are so strong with lines on their body it's look like have been painted perfectly!

A beautiful animal - one I have admired since I was a small child.

This is one of my personal favourites. I loved the way the adults huddled around the young Zebra to protect him/her. Zebra are really awesome animals. This image has been converted to B&W to accentuate the contrast between the black stripes.

Beautiful Zebra from Wildlife Safari, Oregon

When we arrived in Etosha National Park I was waiting for this: zebras.

You know how much I love them (you can see more pics in my Tanzanian set). And I also love photographing them: stripes are so perfect in picture and they actually do not make any move! (I think they are accostumed to human presence).

You should know that in Namibia there are two different species of zebra: Burchell’s Zebra and Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra (you can recognize them from the place where they live, the size and the type of stripes... if you are interested here the wiki sources en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burchell's_zebra en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_zebra). This is a Burchell's one.

Btw I'm still studying for my big exam (only one week). After this I'll have one week completely free from university! Can't wait for it!

Have a great week start and thank you so much for visiting!

Zebra are iconic of Africa and have been featured in local art for more than 20,000 years. These are plains zebra (Equus quagga), the more common or widespread of the the two species we encountered. They are easy to identify as their stripes wrap all the way around their bellies. No two stripe patterns are the same. Zebra families consist of a single stallion, several mares, and their young offspring. Multiple families come together to form large herds. Ambsoseli National Park, Kenya, Africa. there the zebras would run around the water
