A beautiful Zebra in Windsor Safari on Wednesday. Had a lovely day with my son and grandkids in spite of the chilly wet weather.

Kruger National Park, South Africa

Zebras are categorized into three primary species: the mountain zebra, plains zebra, and the elusive Grévy's zebra. Each species exhibits unique features, adapted to different environments across Southern, West, and East Africa.

Captured a zebra having a snack while on the way to the grocery store.

Zebra having last water before sunset

Zebra battles are common on the plains of Africa. A determined stallion has to prove he has the right stuff, before he can mate with a female. He may need to fight.

It is still dry season and the veld and Zebras almost created a B&W image.

A quiet moment for this mare and foal which were amongst an otherwise lively family group of Burchell's Zebra we encountered in Addo Elephant Park, South Africa.

Tenderness and beauty are to describe. You melt when you see it, and then you know.

Perhaps the young wildlife of Africa think this with some joy, but I bet it is usually with great fear. Trust me this young zebra was surrounded by its mother and many others as they searched for water and and a place to graze in Nairobi National Park.

I love how their main is brown in some places and their tails are so pretty too. It is often somewhat of a feat to isolate them in a picture because of how close they stay to the adults.

Another of my favorite butterflies from my recent Powell Gardens expedition.

Early morning light over the dry and dusty Africa’s grassland, adds an outstanding element to this Zebra image.

Hope you will enjoy this shot.

I'm impressed that the Canon 200-400 with the 1.4x picked up the whiskers and eye lashes on this zebra's face so clearly.

A zebra walked past me while on foot in Hoedspruit, South Africa. Too close to capture the whole animal.
