Conocida popularmente como Gran Mezquita de Abu Dabi, recibe el nombre en honor al primer presidente de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Este gran edificio religioso puede albergar hasta 40.000 fieles, recubierta de mármol de color blanco puro. En su interior una de las características más impresionantes de la sala de oración, es la alfombra hecha a mano más grande del mundo. Sobre esta alfombra (de 47 toneladas y 5.627 metros cuadrados) Es una de las mezquitas más impresionantes del mundo. Esta es la más famosa, más bella y de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos.

These photographs were taken inside the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi.

 

Rather than documenting the building itself, I focused on how the interior space is experienced. Curved ramps, soft surfaces, and warm light shape a continuous sense of movement.

A single human figure appears in each image to introduce scale and quiet presence, allowing the architecture to remain the main subject. The emphasis is on flow, proportion, and the way light reveals form.

On finals to land on 27 right at Heathrow airport is the Emirates Boeing 777-300ER "Year of Zayed" scheme.

Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The bridge connects the mainland to the island of Abu Dhabi and the new main gateway over the Maqtah channel. Interestingly, the bridge’s architect was a woman, Zaha Hadid, and the bridge was named after the country's principal architect and former president Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan
