This evening photograph was taken from the outer entrance looking towards the inner courtyard of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The chosen spot enabled the symmetry of the arches and columns with intricate details to be observed. It was a windy evening, with the resulting blurred reflections providing additional perspective of the mosque.

The most perfect place for symmetrical shots is this beautiful mosque in Abu Dhabi. I previously posted a blue version shot later at night from outside, this one is made just after sunset inside the Mosque.

I have been so lucky to be able to spend a few days in the United Arab Emirates. The Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi was high on my wish list. I was really overwhelmed by its beauty. We arrived late in the afternoon. It was packed with people but they all left at the end of the day leaving the best view for me!
