. . . With a Polar Vortex coming down to Michigan and other Midwestern states, one would think everything to be frozen solid! Well the edges of the Rapid River may be starting to freeze up by the weekend, but the majority of the water is still flowing! I kind of feel sorry for the poor cold blooded trout here!
Have a great weekend Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!

Yet another example of a waterfall in Norway.
But don't be surprised.
Because it's covered with mountains and because it snows all winter long, in spring and summer, the entire country just might be one big waterfall.
This, actually, is Norway taken from the stratosphere.
Almost a month after my first sighting, I manage to get a picture. Of course it was sheltering in an awkward spot behind a fence, but lovely to see them about now.
I counted about 4 in total on this walk, no other species locally yet, but only a matter of time.
yet another experiment with digital capture sliding back on a 4x5 Graflex. I had to reduce the resolution so that my tired computer could stitch the images. Does it have the large format look?
One of Modiin's iconic buildings (Yigal Yadin street). Modiin, established in 1993, is one of Israel's youngest cities and a bold urban project at the same time.
...towards the final completion.
On the alignment rack, we went over every nut and bolt again. The car has new shocks, springs, balljoints, brakes, and I also replaced every bushing. Many nights were spent under this car....
Picture sooc, natural profile.
The bokeh balls around the flower looks like a little cloud that hugs it :)
Delivering yet another memorable smokestack, Ian Riley's Guest Engine LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 'Black 5' No. 45407 'The Lancashire Fusilier' storms up the steep Yorfalls Wood gradient whilst hauling the fifth and final Runpast of the day's special Freight Charter at this location, on Saturday, 4th May, the 2nd day of the NYMR 40th Anniversary Festival & Spring Steam Gala.
Sorry about that, but it will probably be a few rainy months in the near future. I'll diversify then :)
Yet another unknown flower. The flower is bright orange and fluffy, but I like it more just before it blooms. Love the spikey goodness. :)
"...that yet move upon society and inspire the people with nobler motives and more heroic patriotism?"
{Henry Ward Beecher}
I just wanted to say thanks to all of you guys for your well wishes. Jesse is better, the rest of us are still working on it.
I can't wait to feel better and really play with this flash. Look Ma no big honking reflection coming off that glass;-)
Several inches of fresh snow is not quite how I was hoping to start off April, but it sure makes for photogenic settings. I couldn't resist visiting this guy who was cooperative as always. I've yet to capture him in full display but have seen him perform this behavior more frequently over the past few days, so hopefully after a week of nice weather things will start getting interesting.
Britney on the roof sunbathing.
It looks spring but it isn't yet for us.
The temperature is rising in the afternoon but during the night it is still under under 0°C/32°F and the snow melts very slowly.
Where the house is located, the is few sunshine during the winter, so there is snow and ice on the shadow places.
I'm glad :-)
