I did make it to the River Thames today and even sat for a while by the river itself, until the rain came.
I'd been trying to get a decent picture of the leaves of this tree for a while and finally got something useable today.
If tomorrow is a little sunnier, I'll try this lens stopped down a bit as I remember it being very sharp when using it with film.

Yet another throwback, but it was just so green. Although this would turn to marshland in the Winter/early Spring.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :)
Despues de un fantástico dia, la naturaleza aún tenía algo más que ofrecernos...
After a fantastic day, the nature yet had something more than us offer...
Yet another "oldie". This was taken just above Hidden Lake, in the North Cascades. We were camped in an area just above where this photo was taken. A few minutes after shooting this we had a good thunderstorm roll through. Scan of a 35mm Ektachrome slide. See notes for a few peak IDs.

Every mountain you drive past in NW Argentina has an amazing and beautiful wash on either side of it. Every time I walked up one I found wonderful scenery. In this case we could actually drive up it, so that much easier! Just don't stand here when the rain comes...

Yet another image that I destroyed applying my HLUT camera profile mimicking look from the forgotten past.

I was amazed at this person's perfectionism. She must have been standing there for about 10 minutes, taking shots with slightly different hand shapes or slightly different smiles. Her attention to detail was amazing.... or she has an awful lot of friends.

The photographic opportunity with this osprey was fantastic and so I wind up posting five images from the experience. I have taken many osprey flight shots but these perched/action shots are, in my opinion, my best and my favorites. The lighting was fantastic that day (morning with the sun at my back) and a blue-sky background is always desired.

Yet another shot from two weekends ago at Lake Shenandoah. This was taken shortly after the sun came up over the mountains, giving it a warm golden glow.
Cornus mas in my garden. There is still a bit of snow around and I cannot await to see the first signs of spring!
Yet another grey damp day but it didn't dampen Charlie's spirits as he happily trots along the sea wall. Aw my small brown chum never ceases to cheer me up with his jaunty gait and cheerful little face, gawd bless'im! :-)
Out on one of my shoots I walked down to the bridge over the creek that feeds my pond. While trying to capture a Catbird Portrait I took a few clicks of a long dead tree stump...most likely Locust...since it has endured so long...it was a dead stump 21 years ago when I arrived. Really nothing...but that sums up a lot of things.

Yet another day where cagy BBC weather forecasts gave potential fog in certain areas. This could have had an effect on my decision to go out. As it was I left work this morning and sat it out. The fog cleared around 9am here allowing for a superb shot of this. It wasn't without its moments of concern as lifting mist rolled over the sun!
yet another tress-passing act... this time I had to climb fence .... dont get to excited, it was only weist high lol... thank goodness the neighbours weren't home yet... they'd die laughing watching me climb and then roll on the ground of their driveway....

Yet another of my sister from this gorgeous day watching the sunset up in the mountains. I sometimes forget that this is practically my backyard. I live in Asheville, North Carolina, which is surrounded by gorgeous mountains. It is such a special place. Every time I'm driving home after a trip, the mountains seem to rise from the ground to greet me and remind me that this is my place and my home. I'm so lucky.
Created an etsy shop to try and sell some hand-painted shirts I've created. I would really appreciate it if you guys checked it out! :) the link: www.etsy.com/shop/AlmaDeFlores
