It was quite the process to wrap these presents. It was also quite the process for Wade to unwrap these presents. I think it was worth the effort though... I mean look at that face. It's pure happiness.
This is a sample of a kaleidoscope tessellation requested by, and created for, a friend (Gina) I met here on Flickr. She makes candy wrappers, gift wrap, bookmarks, etc., but her site is no longer online, so I'm not sure where to get her products any longer.
Only sample tiles are available for viewing since I used her original picture instead of one of my own or one from Flickr with a CC license.

Gifts for Mark. I love unique wraps. These are from old atlases that had been withdrawn from the library collection.
Handmade envelopes made for a swap via Swap-bot. The polka dot one is made from scrapbook paper, the pop-open one in made from wrapping paper, and the little one from handmade tie-dye paper.
This is a unique piece of wrapping paper. It first appeared on my "special Christmas present" when I was 11 or 12. Every year, my mom would save it and would then use it again, and over the years it got smaller and smaller. It was ripped and mended with tape, but it continued to be used on my "special present". Now that both my parents are gone, my husband has taken over the responsibility for slipping it under a ribbon on my "special Christmas present".
