Merry Christmas to my Flickr Friends! I feel really behind this year, I don't have my tree up, I haven't sent out cards yet, but I do have all my shopping done, and my last thing in that regard was making gifts for my neighbors. I found a great recipe online for Peppermint Cocoa Mix made with coca powder and mini chocolate chips and crushed up peppermint candy (I used candy canes which fascinated Lark). And a few other ingredients.

It was a joyous mess in the kitchen, but we had a cup from the leftover, and I think they turned out really pretty. :)

I'm thinking I'm going to need to buy a camera sometime in the next few months. Up to this point I have been using my Mom's Canon Rebal, but since moving out to my new place, I don't have access to it except on the weekends. My plan is to buy a decent Canon SLR, invest in some nice lenses over the next few years and eventually upgrade to a much better body. What camera would y'all recommend? I'm thinking about the Canon EOS Rebel T1i...anyone have that camera? What do you think of it?
