Matching gift tag for the Wholly Holly gift paper.
So 1970s! This dark avocado green and sketchy style makes me recall childhood Christmas mornings!
Thrift store find. By Gibson Papers. It was new in package until I removed the crappy plastic paper!
The boys have been busy this morning (Christmas Eve) wrapping their Dad's Christmas presents:
Ted: "I've bought socks - you can never have too many socks!"
Ginger: "My gift is a pair of Santa slippers - hehehe!"
Nobby: "I decided to get Dad an umbrella - he lost the last one!"
love the little houses!!
just some of my vintage stash; my Mom gave me a whole box of this!! I love it, and have only used it by scanning and printing the designs.

Davids away with work for the night, the girls are in bed (not asleep I should add), I have trashy tele on so what better to do than start on the wrapping. I don't really have much for other people to wrap so thought I would get them out the way before I wrap the main presents on Friday night. Luckily a friend is having Bethany overnight for me so I can get the girls presents wrapped and put away with her seeing.
Now to carry on with the wrapping.

When it comes to gift-giving, I actually enjoy wrapping the presents more than buying them. I guess I like the creativity that's involved. Rather than seeing gift wrapping as a chore, I view it as an opportunity to create small, temporary works of art.
I'm fascinated by what a little paper, tape and ribbon can do to an ordinary cardboard box, and I'm amazed at how quickly my artistic efforts are transformed into a pile of debris ready to be hauled out with the trash. Ahhhh ... the joys and realities of the creative life!
I thought the selection of wrapping paper and ribbon this year was especially good. A quick trip to The Container Store, CVS Pharmacy and Wal-Mart produced the ingredients for the packages you see in this picture. The results were a joy to give and receive, and I believe that's how gift-giving should be.
Of course ...
Inner beauty is always paramount, but if you've got that one covered, a nice presentation is the icing on the cake.
May every gift you receive be beautiful ... inside and out.
Merry Christmas!
