"brown paper packages tied up with strings"
(except I find brown paper rather dull, so I opted for something a little flashier)

I just couldn't bring myself to throw away this old wrapping paper, saved from my childhood. I have a hard time throwing away just about anything that might be useful, and now I am glad I saved it.

Random generated pattern program in action! Printed on glossy paper :)
Since it has been raining for the past few days, I've been getting much more into these indoor creative shots. The overall theme seems to be one of sadness lost in wine. I'm not sad or anything either, these are just the ideas that come to me... strange. There's a lot going on in this one, but hopefully if you look closely and read my little "shutterscript" below you'll get the idea.
Tonight I sit to write these lines of love and beauty
To write of the ways I will hold you
And you me, locked in warm embrace
Our hearts combined into molten flesh
Beating as one
Tonight I sit to write these lines of love and beauty
But what beauty is there without your face?
What love without your touch?
What lines without your grace?
Tonight I sit to... mourn
These lines of love and beauty
For they will never be written
Their power never felt
Their subject never held
I was too late, my love
So tonight I will sit
And dream of a time
When I can once again
Write these lines of love and beauty
This is a most unusual gift wrap. Dark blue background with nails, nails and more nails. Purchased at an estate sale. You get 2 pieces, one that has been cut is 20"x20 1/2", the other uncut is 30"x20". As you can see from the photo, there is a very slight crease in the paper. Would look great as a background for scrapbooking pages.
number nine
Please pardon my grump fest that has been going on the past few days. I decided to man the fuck up and move the fuck on. So HI! I'm back. I still have to deal with stupid people on the regular but I am not about to let anyone bring me down... ESPECIALLY around the holidays! [[15 days and counting!!!]]
Tomorrow we *finally* go pick up our new car! I haven't said what it is on purpose, although those who follow me on Twitter should already know! :) But expect LOTS of pictures tomorrow of my husband and his new love. Because essentially, this car is his. But he likes to say it's ours, which is cute.
I also have a photo shoot tomorrow after we get our car! :) Busy little Saturday...
This year my mom didn't put our normal sized tree up since no one is really going to be at our house for Christmas, so I tried to get as much of the teeny tree that is where the big one should be in this shot.
I've got many things to create and bake within these next couple days, I try to buy as little as possible for Christmas, and make things for people instead. This year it's mainly one project that's taking up all my time, but I'm hoping to get it done by Thursday! (Possible pictures of if after Christmas) I think it's silly how much money is spent around Christmas, it's not what the Holiday is about!
Have you ever seen this video?
Good stuff.
Typography gift wrapping! This is a great technique for one or two gifts (like for a birthday). But for Christmas? Ugh. I won't do it again.

just some of my vintage stash; my Mom gave me a whole box of this!! I love it, and have only used it by scanning and printing the designs.
