we worked on the basement all day.... cable tv for me, made it possible for me to play my ipod through stereo and hung the medicine cabinet.

My first project working solely with reclaimed (pallet) wood and I think it went well. Anyways, I made a desk for myself due to my dissatisfaction with what stores offered (or didn’t), and because I'm a college student who, odd as it may seem, doesn't need a limited amount of space, comfort, and character to be added stress. The whole thing seemed simple enough that I wouldn't even need draw up a plan. The odds went in my favor (this time) and it turned out to be an awesome project. There will be many more projects alike to come.
With exception of the 4in x 4in post as “legs,” the desk is completely made up of reclaimed wood.

It doesn't take much to keep me productive on the road. Laptop, AC power inverter, and Blackberry with a data plan and I am ready to go.
For comfort I have the Sirius and "mobile refreshment center" from any fast food restaurant.

6 years ago I uploaded this screengrab of my workspace setup.
6 years on here's my current setup. Not much has changed, although I now use SublimeText2 over TextMate/CSSEdit. The web preview is actually full screen behind the text editor, and I use Chrome Canary and it's web inspector tools for real-time manipulation of CSS and the DOM.
