This view shows the tight confines of my desk. This is unfortunately all I have to work with for space. The built in cabinets are nice, but I do find I run out of space when reviewing articles.

From this workspace in Durham, I study chemistry (degree level), organise charity events for the university committee, blog, process my photography, and do design, branding and web development work on a self-employed basis.
Dual 23" monitors. Printer, filing cabinet, GTD Inbox, and big volume knob all within an arm's reach. Emergency Sam Adams Octoberfest for the extra tough jobs.
This is a complete view of my workspace. I'm in college so the space in my apartment is limited so this is actually my bedroom. The Macbook can connect to the TV to watch content or be used as a second monitor. The desk is an Ikea Jerker and the chair is a Herman Miller Aeron.

Most of us spend lots of time in a workspace of one kind or another. Show us your workspace in a photograph.

Everything's almost where it needs to be... still need to unpack/set up some toys and then (finally) get a betta into that fishbowl.

I just cleared out so much stuff! I decided to focus on making the most of items that really belong here - art supplies and projects. I also put together an inspiration/bulletin board.
For art supplies on display, I put my tatting thread in big glass jars and set them on top of the cutting table. There are just three of them, and easy to move aside when I use the cutting table. I took all those bags of bugle beads and put them in canning jars and lined them up across the top of the Hoosier cabinet. I hung the hanks of beads in the bead cabinet. I put all my floss and ribbon embroidery supplies in the second shelf of my Hoosier.
I have four watercolors from Carol Gillott of "Paris Breakfasts" and I finally got them framed in shiny red frames and I put them up where the wood cutouts were (they are now in another room, they are amazing but they are so brown and I needed something, anything besides more brown in the room). I hung the mini quilts that I washed back in the "Tidy Me" section and they definitely perk the place up.
I actually have two inspiration boards, a little one tucked against the deep back of the desk, and another big board in Area 6. I put up some project samples and project cards on them.
JOURNAL PROMPT: What treasures inspire you? Are you drawn to colors or textures? Do you like to create an "atmosphere" or collections of similar items? Vintage or new? What doesn't inspire you? What makes you immediately start frowning and grinding your teeth?
I really love having the art supplies as visible as possible. Just having the tatting thread in jars makes me want to tat! I'm not sure the buttons are as decorative, but at least this way I can be sure they will be USED! The seed beads vs. bugle beads makes an interesting texture change between smooth bead tubes vs. bumpy little seed beads. I like having the trees on top of the bookcase and I will try to get a season-neutral option to replace the Christmas trees when that season passes. Holy cow! It wasn't even Halloween when I started this!
I love vintage things, but that word has broad meaning for me. Anything that has been in MY family more than ten years is vintage. Things that have been in OTHER families needs to be thirty years or older to be vintage! :)
After all that sorting, anything that doesn't follow the theme/purpose of this room makes me frown and grind my teeth. I just worked too hard to get this room straightened around to have odds and ends straying in.
This here is my work / play space. Sorry about the crappy photo.
Check the notes for inside information!
Cleaned up some wires. Put away my drum machine. Took down a small table I had, which was leading to more clutter.
This is my workspace at home. I keep bloomberg streaming on iPad 2, use the cinema display for major workflow, and the Macbook Air for email, twitter, and music.
