OK, so I've got one-fourth done. It was actually kind of fun! I'm just using some random scraps, some Parisville, some AMH, some Heather Bailey, so it's going to be a serious mish-mash of fabrics, but I'm just trying it out for my bee peeps - I think this is what I'm going to ask for next month in the {Sew} Beautiful Bee...now if only I could decide on some fabrics...

Chris McConnell’s current work, being created at Chelsea Flower Garden, includes these butterfly-inspired structures, which are made from recycled steel and will hold hanging baskets.
WIP - experiment in making a corsage from scraps of furoshiki fabric - needs a button or something in the middle and a ribbon or pin on the back so it can be fixed to a furoshiki bag
I am leading a workshop called "The Book Artist as an explorer" and as a result I have discovered some treasures which have been hidden from view for a while.
I am now inspired to carry on with some work which has been left unfinished for some time
I finally got back to this quilt I've been making for Clark, buckled down and did the main piecing of it. This has been a total bear of a no pattern quilt in that there are variable lengths and widths--all to incorporate the different sized fussy cut robots. I can't believe it actually looks pretty much like I wanted it to.
A page made out of hand made paper, and hand dyed fabric.
These have been part bleached and have overpainted details.
I hope to illustrate the creative and life cycle with these drawings.

An exciting time if it wasn't for the fact that I'm right up against a deadline.
The provisional title is "Rights granted to women by men"
okay, i know it's not that impressive right now,
but i paint in layers. this is just the first part. really. i promise it will be better.
I say mostly because I'm going to add a border to it, but the blocks have been all sewn together. I'm delighted with the layout and the overall look and blending of all the pastels and jewel like colors and the beautiful pictures in the centers of the blocks.
