2010 slowlands work in progress, soon to be finished.

Eugenia uniflora Surinam Cherry.

I say mostly because I'm going to add a border to it, but the blocks have been all sewn together. I'm delighted with the layout and the overall look and blending of all the pastels and jewel like colors and the beautiful pictures in the centers of the blocks.

Here is my next project - a boston terrier named Lily that from her pictures, seems to be a teensy, tiny Boston who likes to smile. Seems to be a precious little baby.

more detail from the piece I'm working on, little bits look good, whole piece, still not sure

All the Tyrell Corporation has brought so far is a head. That won't do! They say the rest of the body is still in the inceptor tank. I wish they'd hurry up...Pris is pouting about it.

Little bears everywhere. Some for a swap???

These were treated with a glazing medium which was rather shiny when dry.

I made my gift for the previous Steam hunt the night before it started, I'm doing much better this time around :)

I grabbed stashed and recycled papers, envelopes and other ephemera to fill up the book. Since the binding clips open and close, I can always move things around, flip pages or add new materials.

Blue green fabrics dyed by me in Dylon, and the beiges in tea. Blue green fibres from Stef Francis, sparkly bits Madeira Glistengloss. All worked on the embellisher.

This photo shows pinning the new band to position before securing by hand stitch (the band measures at base 58.5 cm but top of the band is 56cm joint at the seam using machine stitching)

Original Hat sized is 58.5 cm.

My head size is 56cm.

a work in progress, sort of weird and different for me.

Kirsten's choker progressing - it's now wearable without being held on, and all it needs is a last coat of antiquing on the gold plated parts at the back and the cameo stuck on (atm the glue for the chain embellishment is drying). Oh, and I need to add just one more gold crimp cover at the back because I managed to twist one.. and file down the sharp bits of the central piece. Estimated time of being finished: Tomorrow!!

It isn't actually wonky like that, but Kirsten's neck is larger than mine and she also intends to wear it over rollneck jumpers.

I call this one the Renaissance Unit.

This is another development of the garden. The intention is to raise the height of the step to match the others and extend it into the garden. Hopefully I'll be able to mosaic it afterwards :-)

It's been dug out. Just needs some shuttering adding and then can start adding the concrete.
