"Expose Me - Counting Crows"

I have so many talents

I'm afraid to show them

People may not like them

So they're hidden

Hidden within

Where no one can hate them!

Or appreciate them?

I have so many dreams

I'm afraid to reveal them

People may not accept them

So they're hidden

Hidden within

Where no one can kill them!

Or fulfill them?

I have so many beautiful thoughts

I'm afraid to share them

People may ignore them

So they're hidden

Hidden within

Where no one can ignore them!

Or enjoy them?

I hate to hide

I hide cause I'm lonely

I need someone who will expose me

Is it you?

So I've been toying with the idea of poses for a long time. nothing animated, just expressive emotional poses for pictures. I'll be doing singles, and couple poses. I'll post them as I finish them. I'm no good with advertisement ads. anyhow preview of first pose creation. I need some tips on how to keep the pose from moving..so any tips are welcome. thanks Lexia

Day 2 of the children being back at school and I was happy to get an hour in at the sewing machine after a very long time away. This is a sneak peek at a new project.

work in progress

finally after months of shooting. . .

Soon to be covered in a mosaic.

The next 3 art festivels that I will be in are of my photography. So I thought I would make a side table to put my business cards and postcards on. This way I can show people what they can look forward to seeing from me.

I'm also making a sign with my name on it to hang in the booth. Still working on the design for that.

This is the latest in my poppy oil painting "series". Measures 32 X 48 ", oil on canvas. Based on This Photo

I'm trying a variety of products in an attempt to both age an ink jet image and to make it look "misty".

I am drawn to the look produced using encaustic wax, but the health hazards make me cautious about heating wax without effective ventilation.

Anyone interested in using cold wax might like to look at oilandwax.ning.com/ for helpful advice.

My objective is to use images that look as though they are memories of the past and I have to say that everything I have tried so far is a disapointment.

I hope to look into using resin next.

Fire's riding to valleys of death

while shadows are rising from bloody hells

Fire's riding to Hargor, the town

where evil and terror conquered the clouds

We sing to the wind the legend of the kings

to spread our heart to the kingdom of dusk

where heroes are lost, where now reigns the Shadow Lord!

I love graph paper. This is the planned block layout for "spools," a selvage quilt I'm making for Quilting in the Pines 2011.

originally, the white shoes were going to be on the figure's feet, but decided to have them hanging instead

Ink jet prints treated with a variety of surface treatments.

I am trying to made these images look both aged and "misty" as though they were memories from the past.

The most effective so far are the ones I coated with Dorland's Wax Medium, although these needed a hot iron to make them effective.

For helpful advice about using this product, I can recommend oilandwax.ning.com/

Softlove work in progress

This book will be called "Fear".

I'm increasingly struck by the presence of this emotion in everyday life: the press and TV are awash with reports which add to this fear.

My record will involve words and images which will be contained in an individually designed folder.

Brown card, white acrylic paint, masking tape and ink.

Work in progress

Old progress pics of the last stages of Ingenue before molding.

Using a clay model pressed into forma foam ( or memory foam). Acrylic paint.

Grease Alley, an industrial backwater neighborhood in a blade-runner/fifth-element genre. These shops back onto a trash and old parts-strewn gully, where the junk skiff comes by to pick up broken components, industrial leftovers, and the occasional "borrowed" part.

Different pics taken in different times during works

finally busted out my protractor... and made a bunch of circles.

marker on cheap paper, I love doodling.

An exciting time if it wasn't for the fact that I'm right up against a deadline.

The provisional title is "Rights granted to women by men"
