For the last month I have worked in a seasonal workers capacity for the Royal Mail at their Potteric Carr centre. From the adjacent railway platform where a good deal of kit is stored there are open views of the busy East Coast Mainline. Here a southbound container train is seen trundling by during yesterdays lunch hour. 66735 "Peterborough United" being the motive power. I thought that it would be fitting Ito include a number of parked Yorke storage trailers.
Final work on the new canal bridge at Lapworth means a long walk from the vehicle park in Lapworth along tow paths past the bridge, over a bridge behind me and back along the opposite bank. One guy is doing just that as 66056 passes overhead with the 11.47 Didcot T.C. to Bescot Down sidings, the train consisted of 3 locomotives and was running 30 minutes early.

Because somebody worked at the other side of that window, I thought that I might enjoy a night view.
I photographed a night view after a long absence on that day.

This is the view from where I work, I admit it, I must be one of the luckiest people to have such a beautiful view as this and work in a place I really enjoy. The view out of my window takes in the hills and mountains of Argyllshire, the beautiful River Clyde and so much more.
On the way home from my meeting in Morganton, NC a delayed 123 slowly makes its way around High Fill.

the ferry in toreboda is pulled by a human, in this picture a friend passed by to meet him. Lina is swedens smallest ferry and the takeover takes only 20-25 seconds

...I take quite a few close ups....and sometimes hit the jackpot...love the wing and spike detail and the extra slightly out of focus insect.
I found this old relic on a back road near my house. I just couldn't resist getting a shot of the beat up old work truck. Hope everyone has a great week ahead.

**Max, at Work.**
Watching him paint was, for me, much more than simply a photographic opportunity.
It meant entering his world, respectfully and on tiptoe. A world made of silence, thoughts, glances, gestures, and that deep concentration that belongs to someone who has devoted an important part of his life to creativity.
While he paints, Max seems almost to forget everything around him. He is immersed in his own time, in his ideas, in the emotions that slowly take shape on the canvas.
And perhaps this is the most fascinating part: not knowing what is passing through his mind, yet somehow being able to perceive that something is happening.
What he sees and feels belongs only to him. It comes from sensitivity, experience, empathy, and everything that, throughout his life, has settled within him.
I simply tried to capture a few moments of that experience, allowing his gestures, his eyes, and his work to tell what words cannot fully explain.
Because sometimes, there is no need to explain what happens inside.
**It is enough to look.**

**Max, al lavoro.**
Guardarlo mentre dipinge è stato, per me, qualcosa di più di una semplice occasione fotografica.
È stato entrare, con rispetto e in punta di piedi, nel suo mondo. Un mondo fatto di silenzi, pensieri, sguardi, gesti e di quella concentrazione profonda che accompagna chi ha dedicato una parte importante della propria vita alla creatività.
Mentre dipinge, Max sembra quasi dimenticare tutto ciò che lo circonda. È immerso nel suo tempo, nelle sue idee, nelle emozioni che lentamente prendono forma sulla tela.
Ed è forse questo l'aspetto più affascinante: non sapere cosa stia attraversando la sua mente, ma riuscire comunque a percepire che qualcosa sta accadendo.
Quello che vede e sente appartiene soltanto a lui. Nasce dalla sensibilità, dalle esperienze, dall'empatia e da tutto ciò che, nel corso della vita, si è sedimentato dentro di lui.
Io ho semplicemente cercato di fermare alcuni istanti di quel momento, lasciando che fossero i suoi gesti, i suoi occhi e il suo lavoro a raccontare ciò che le parole non riescono a spiegare.
Perché, qualche volta, non serve raccontare ciò che accade dentro.
**È sufficiente guardare.**
