While taking a break from work in this great coffee place, this is the coffee I got after ordering a vanilla chai latte. Just couldn't resist putting this on camera :-)
Final work on the new canal bridge at Lapworth means a long walk from the vehicle park in Lapworth along tow paths past the bridge, over a bridge behind me and back along the opposite bank. One guy is doing just that as 66056 passes overhead with the 11.47 Didcot T.C. to Bescot Down sidings, the train consisted of 3 locomotives and was running 30 minutes early.

For the last month I have worked in a seasonal workers capacity for the Royal Mail at their Potteric Carr centre. From the adjacent railway platform where a good deal of kit is stored there are open views of the busy East Coast Mainline. Here a southbound container train is seen trundling by during yesterdays lunch hour. 66735 "Peterborough United" being the motive power. I thought that it would be fitting Ito include a number of parked Yorke storage trailers.
It takes a whole day or more to see the main parts of Isfahan Bazaar in central Iran.
Geometrical designs can be seen frequently in the artistic handicrafts such as marquetry (khatamkari) as well as in the structure of historic buildings.
Khatamkari is one of the greatest artistic heritage in Iran.
The surface of wooden articles is decorated with very small pieces of bone and metal cut in a variety of shapes and patterns.

Dawn - Coastal State Road A1A - Magical Palm Trees in Paradise
My favorite "sunrise in paradise" location on Key West. These palms are featured on Jimmy Buffett's A1A album, and the back cover is about 50 yards north of here. While he lived here this was a favorite spot of his and he wrote a few songs here. Have been attempting to get the best shot of these palms for many years. I'M STILL TRYING!

Because somebody worked at the other side of that window, I thought that I might enjoy a night view.
I photographed a night view after a long absence on that day.

This is the view from where I work, I admit it, I must be one of the luckiest people to have such a beautiful view as this and work in a place I really enjoy. The view out of my window takes in the hills and mountains of Argyllshire, the beautiful River Clyde and so much more.

...I take quite a few close ups....and sometimes hit the jackpot...love the wing and spike detail and the extra slightly out of focus insect.
Since Iris is the Greek goddess for the Messenger of Love, her sacred flower is considered the symbol of communication and messages.
Therefore the flower iris in the language of flowers symbolises eloquence.
A purple iris is symbolic of wisdom and compliments.
A blue iris symbolises faith and hope.
A yellow iris symbolises passion while white iris symbolises purity.
As you can see, the gift of iris can be used to convey many emotions.
Dutch irises are hybrids of two older varieties, giving it a look all its own.
The distinctive ‘fleur-de-lis' flowers come in a variety of blues, yellows, purples, and white.
Organic, sensual, all about shape and colour.
The Iris is just born elegance... extremely ephemeral, they barely last a few days, yet with unbelievable beauty and style.
Best to leave them in the garden... like so many of the bulbs!

For those of you unfamiliar with the Alaska Railroad the southern end of the railroad from MP 65 to MP 2 is not very accessible. It is very hit and miss. There are very few crossings and even fewer places other than crossing where you can see a train coming. Fortunately I arrived here just before the train did allowing me to get across and get a going away shot of the caboose in good light. I then doubled back to Moose Pass for some additional photos.
