For the last month I have worked in a seasonal workers capacity for the Royal Mail at their Potteric Carr centre. From the adjacent railway platform where a good deal of kit is stored there are open views of the busy East Coast Mainline. Here a southbound container train is seen trundling by during yesterdays lunch hour. 66735 "Peterborough United" being the motive power. I thought that it would be fitting Ito include a number of parked Yorke storage trailers.
It takes a whole day or more to see the main parts of Isfahan Bazaar in central Iran.
Geometrical designs can be seen frequently in the artistic handicrafts such as marquetry (khatamkari) as well as in the structure of historic buildings.
Khatamkari is one of the greatest artistic heritage in Iran.
The surface of wooden articles is decorated with very small pieces of bone and metal cut in a variety of shapes and patterns.

This is the view from where I work, I admit it, I must be one of the luckiest people to have such a beautiful view as this and work in a place I really enjoy. The view out of my window takes in the hills and mountains of Argyllshire, the beautiful River Clyde and so much more.
On the way home from my meeting in Morganton, NC a delayed 123 slowly makes its way around High Fill.

Below is a personal update, about my health and school. Read if you want.

I don't know if there's a purpose to anything lately.
I had to withdraw from university with consent from a doctor just before my finals. I feel more defeated than I ever have. I wasted my money. Everything is stressful. My health is declining. Things are financially stressful. I'm so exhausted to the point where I have to choose between everything; do I eat or do I take a shower? If I do both I won't have the energy for anything else. I'm completely shut off from the world around me, even my closest loved ones.
So I forced myself into recovery. And I don't even know if it's going to work this time either. It's been seven years of avoiding it.
Seven years of stealing what little was left of me. And now I've got to start with even less. My drive is gone. Everything is gone. I hope this summer will be therapeutic for me. I hope this summer will give me the strength that I deserve. I just don't know what else to do.
Art doll Laughing Fox
Sometimes people ask me how I come up with characters of my dolls. I always find it difficult to answer this question. The dolls themselves create himself and his character. It is said that the doll comes alive when she opens her eyes.
With this doll the same thing happened. I had thought of a completely different character. But as soon as she got a face as if she said to me, "Hey, I want to laugh, to run and to jump. I want red hair! I want to be a FOX!" :D
Sometimes I think I don't create dolls. They create me :)
I found this old relic on a back road near my house. I just couldn't resist getting a shot of the beat up old work truck. Hope everyone has a great week ahead.

Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike

The Black-faced Cuckoo Shrike builds a small nest in "Y" on a branch. Tiny sticks and cobweb are the major elements.
No fancy sides or adornments. The young sit down in the nest and generally are unseen.
...I take quite a few close ups....and sometimes hit the jackpot...love the wing and spike detail and the extra slightly out of focus insect.
I went past this in February, things have moved on a lot since then.
