I’ve been missing in action for a few weeks on Flickr - and this why. Making the most of our winter cooler weather to build new gardens and do some landscaping. It’s coming together…

Some of my current work-in-progress models, I really should get around to finishing some of these...
From left to right (oldest to newest):
CIWL dining car, intended to expand my NBDS mailtrain consist. The digital model is basically done, I just need to get around to ordering the parts and building it. I started on this one all the way back in 2022.
NS/SBB TEE trainset. I built a model of this train before, but decided the model needed an upgrade. What started as a few minor changes turned into a complete rebuilt that I'm still working on. The shaping of the engine unit is done, and all the internal structure for the nose section is ready too. The rest of the internal structure is still missing, and the coaches still need some work on the exterior too. This one was started late 2023/early 2024.
DB V200. This model is basically just a shell at this point, but all the major shapes are in place and I'm supper happy with how it's looking so far. None of the internal structure is there yet, and it's still missing details on the roof and on the bogies. I started working on it about a year ago.
NS 1700. This latest model is heavily inspired by the awesome work of raised (www.flickr.com/photos/raised), Ervvin (www.flickr.com/photos/epjl) & many others involved in the original Nez Casse project. Particularly the nose section is basically a 1:1 copy of their original model. This model is also just a shell at the moment, with nothing on the inside to hold it together yet. It also has no wheels, and it's still missing some stuff on the roof. This is a fairly recent project, I only started playing around with it in October of this year.
Final work on the new canal bridge at Lapworth means a long walk from the vehicle park in Lapworth along tow paths past the bridge, over a bridge behind me and back along the opposite bank. One guy is doing just that as 66056 passes overhead with the 11.47 Didcot T.C. to Bescot Down sidings, the train consisted of 3 locomotives and was running 30 minutes early.

For the last month I have worked in a seasonal workers capacity for the Royal Mail at their Potteric Carr centre. From the adjacent railway platform where a good deal of kit is stored there are open views of the busy East Coast Mainline. Here a southbound container train is seen trundling by during yesterdays lunch hour. 66735 "Peterborough United" being the motive power. I thought that it would be fitting Ito include a number of parked Yorke storage trailers.

The shoes that appear in my "Things Work Out" series represent our perpetual journey and how all we experience becomes part of who we are. In these pieces, I depict shoes not only because they are part of what takes us on our personal journey, but also because our shoes reveal a little bit about our individuality and the postmarks suggest different locations or travel. I started my "Things Work Out" mantra years ago with my children, it's about being positive and trusting. On Tuesday mornings, while drinking my coffee I send my husband and children a text that says "Happy 2sday!" Included in that text is one of my photos or artworks that include a 2 or the word two. (T.W.O. = Things Work Out)
Dawn - Coastal State Road A1A - Magical Palm Trees in Paradise
My favorite "sunrise in paradise" location on Key West. These palms are featured on Jimmy Buffett's A1A album, and the back cover is about 50 yards north of here. While he lived here this was a favorite spot of his and he wrote a few songs here. Have been attempting to get the best shot of these palms for many years. I'M STILL TRYING!

Because somebody worked at the other side of that window, I thought that I might enjoy a night view.
I photographed a night view after a long absence on that day.
On February 14, 2015 in Shinjuku NS building.
