Yesterday I returned to work and by a total coincidence my second delivery of the day took me down the access road by the UK Rail depot to Leicester. My new iPhone came in handy.
On view in front of what appears to be a new part built shed are a couple of heritage class 37's from the early 1960's together with a rather forlorn class 60.
.... here the fabric that was previously made by the woman on the loom is decorated with ornaments before he goes to the dyeing shop.

This was taken a while back. The photographer was hard at work. She was shooting some kind promotional thing. Just after I took this a wave came and wet the lot of them. The photographer just stepped out of the way like she had done it a hundred times before.

Everyday on our drive we drive past this corner, they have been working on a building for 3 years - we've watched it's progress from start to finish. They just put this piece of art outside last week, we love it! So I thought I'd share it with you!
I happened to be passing through Winnemucca, Nevada during their Music and Murals festival, 2025. I was disappointed that I was unable to stay until this piece was finished. I also was able to find a sign or any indication of attribution.
Art doll Laughing Fox
Sometimes people ask me how I come up with characters of my dolls. I always find it difficult to answer this question. The dolls themselves create himself and his character. It is said that the doll comes alive when she opens her eyes.
With this doll the same thing happened. I had thought of a completely different character. But as soon as she got a face as if she said to me, "Hey, I want to laugh, to run and to jump. I want red hair! I want to be a FOX!" :D
Sometimes I think I don't create dolls. They create me :)
