Several photostream shots ago I mentioned about the announced reopening to Metrolink trams of St Peter's Square in Manchester, pondering over whether it could be true considering the work still to be done. Well, the event has occurred, even if at the moment it's only for two platforms (one in each direction) as work continues towards completion of the rest. Here cars 3080 and 3060 (the latter the rear of a double unit) meet at the newly reopened stop.

The work is in the middle of a roundabout on the Canary Wharf Estate - can it really be true that motorists were initially confused by it, and tried to obey the signals?
From the plaque nearby:
"The sculpture imitates the natural landscape of the adjacent London Plane trees while the changing pattern of the lights reveals and reflects the never-ending rhythm of the surrounding domestic, financial and commercial activities."

Nothing like lying flat out on the wet beach sand with the excuse of taking a photo is there! Yes I'm back at homebase after my housesitting stint and found this in my past travel files.
A bright morning at Moonta Bay on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula. Although this aspect shows the rocks near the jetty that stretches out into the sea, there are long quiet areas of white sandy beach on either side for exploring too.
I really appreciate all who visit to view, comment and/or fave my nature offerings from various parts of Australia. Thank you!

A work doodle while trying to do MANY things at once and solve a very difficult design problem - in total control of course!?!?!
There was a time about five years ago that I hunted flee markets for cheap Barbies for my zombie laboratory...
This Pocahontas Barbie was one of those experimentations - many of them did not survive.
She wears a translucent gown sew right on her. Her skin is tattooed with real gold leaf an well as her eyes. Wrest of the oriental make up is acrylics paint in shade of terracotta.
It is kind of embarrassing to post these early works, but hopefully you can see improvement. ;D
