Work of my friend Manu Cox .

I dressed at work for a few years pre-pandemic, but then lost my office when we were subject to a corporate buy-out. Since then I've worked from home and only went up to our office in Sydney a couple of times a year. One of those was for the Christmas party. This year I went up dressed. My closest colleagues have seen me dressed on Zoom but this was a first time for a lot of other people there.

The day went very well.

ISS042E283203 (02/21/2015) – NASA astronaut Terry Virts Flight Engineer of Expedition 42 on the International Space Station is seen working to complete a cable routing task while the sun begins to peak over the Earth's horizon on Feb. 21 2015. Virts and fellow astronaut Barry "Butch" Wilmore completed a 6-hour, 41-minute spacewalk routing more than 300 feet of cable as part of a reconfiguration of the station to enable U.S. commercial crew vehicles under development to dock to the space station in the coming years.

Listvyanka, Irkutsky District, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia,

Listvyanka (Russian: Листвя́нка) is an urban locality (a work settlement) in Irkutsky District of Irkutsk Oblast, Russia, located 70 kilometers (43 mi) from Irkutsk, near the point where the Angara River leaves Lake Baikal.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Listvyanka,_Irkutsky_District,_Irku...

About 15 km from Listvyanka on the road to Irkutsk (20 mins by car), there's an interesting Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture. Samples of old wooden houses were brought here from all over Siberia of the Transbaikal people of the XIX-XX centuries.

Listvyanka was changed in the end of the 19th century in connection with the construction of Trans -Siberian railroad.

Research material and hidden supplies!

DCP 4628 at Kaianga, near the south bank of the Waimakariri River, with Work Train 74, dumps soil from YL wagons.

Once emptied, the train set back to Belfast for the loco to run around and head back 'long hood leading' back to Islington for another load. Fairly rear these days in these parts of the country for long hood running and reminiscent of the old Number 2 shunt that use to run to Waipara.

And, on a personal note, this was only my second train on the Main North Line since the 14th of November, 2016 earthquake, despite the numerous work trains dispatched from Christchurch to help the rebuild effort along the Kaikoura Coastline over the last 10 months. The first time was the previous day with a similiar train at the same location! Quite surprising how much had changed around the railway line in that time, even on the first 15km of the line!

For my collection of tool box/tool bag pics.

Les, who did the general rehab on my very very “vintage” garage, had several tool bags and tool boxes on-site for the job. This was his most essential kit and is densely packed. Somewhat heavier than I’d care to lug around.

This is a work-in-progress attempt at recreating the logo used for a short period on buses operated by Cynon Valley Transport.

It will, in all probability, appear on my ex- Aberdare Bristol RE at some stage in the future.

Plaid top w/ ruffles: Borrowed, but label says Gap.

Black high-waisted skirt: Thrift store steal!

Black wrap around leather belt: Borrowed, but label says Gap.

Shoes: Chinese Laundry(but bought at Marshalls!)

Messy work desk.

Thanks for the coffee cups, drink cans and beer bottles, guys.

I love the smell of rotting milk first thing back... not :)

Right across from the trains and lego area is this sweet board where you can showcase your work.

Some very interesting "doodles" there. [If you are ever in NYC there's another set of impressive ones on the fourth floor.]

My favorite is the one on the top left, love that vibe. :)

This is from my diner, a work in progress. I'm slowly covering my table with trains and buildings.

They don't make very good Lego skirts. She ends up a little taller than the average minifig, but that's ok, maybe she's wearing heels. Those shoes end up being HUGE. ^_^

I may change the top, although I don't have too many good tops that work for waitresses. Maybe I'll just change her arms so it's a little less 'revealing'.
