Aside from sleep it’s just been work for me as of late. I’m on new budget plan and spending is very miniscule.

This is how my work space looked when I got back from lunch!

Okedoke, a picture of my desk at work. Just got the apple cinema display so i though i'd go feng shui and create a nice working environment... (Not normal for a coder i know!)

Workstation. En esos momentos subía los últimos archivos mientras cenaba los restos de la pizza y veía las fotos recientes del flickr...

A day off work so thought I would blow the dust off the old art box . So with tea and butter puffs (note packet in picture) aplenty tried my hand at a chalk and pastel study of Gina, limiting myself to three sticks.

I thank everyone who continuously liking and commenting on my photos. I am extremely busy at work so I could not keep up with your comments. But thank you so much! Hope everyone has a great day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Work, 4 December 2009, second day at my new job.

Old Navy turtleneck

Jacob skirt

American Apparel tights

Feet First shoes

Fossil bracelet (gift from my sister)

Vintage Robert Larin pewter and resin necklace via eBay

Yesterday, on my first day at my new job, I was aiming for conservative business casual, but veered into mostly boring. I felt better in what I was wearing today - still business casual (dressier than what most of my colleagues wear on Friday, actually) but the tights add the right amount of fun.

Rolleiflex 2.8D

Xenotar 80mm f/2.8

Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100

60 second exposure

This scene was almost totally void of ambient lighting, and I used an LED flashlight to light-paint the area. I've gotten somewhat used to this on digital, but every scene is a little different so it's rather hard to predict exactly how it will turn out on film.

If I re-route my commute I can pass Great Central Railway's northern engine shed. This is the view over the road bridge wall. I've inadvertently become a train enthusiast (but not a very good one).

Tornado is here for re-commissioning works. There seems to be a lot going today. The man with the long white beard is from Hitachi - if Tornado is to be used on the mainline it needs all the latest safety systems.

The wall on the road bridge is quite high you have to stand on tip-toes to see below, To get these kind of photos I have to hold the camera at arms length and just point vaguely in the direction. The results are usually more than acceptable.

On the tripod is a Nanlux light used for photography.

The fantastic Crescent in Buxton, Derbyshire. Originally finished in 1789. The building was closed in the 1980's. In 2012 work started to restore it but then stopped in 2013 due to funding issues. It appears that work has once again started to repair what is undoubtedly the 'jewel in the crown' of Buxton's Georgian heritage. Scandalous that it was ever allowed to decline in the first place. Three images stitched with PS.

"The Unknown Bureaucrat", sculpture by Magnús Tómasson, in Reykjavik

I swear i feel i don't have time to breathe.. Work Work Work.. all the time.. I miss all of u.. i feel i havn't realy looked through people's work like i use to.. excuse my quick comments.. i barely have time to come online for a few minutes. The rest of the time i feel i'm knee deep in papers and paint..

-----------------------------------------

about this picture.. i quickly snapped a picture of the drying rack, which is filled with the work i'm doing at the moment. Its time consuming, but i hope the effort is worth it in the end.

"The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act."

Work continues on The Big Game Hunter's Library. My sister (Flickr member Heart92262) gave me the idea to try out this pour-on finish for the floors, talk about a mile deep shine ! Don't know about you, but I LOVE It. Can't wait to try it out on some other projects down the line.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad trainmen John Strieter ponders the work he faces in boarding passengers for a steam train that will arrive at the Rockside Road station in Independence once he CVSR National Park Scenic train departs. The boy behind the trainman appears to have a look of admiration on his face as he looks at the man and his passenger uniform.

I submitted this photo to JPG mag for their next issue - if you like it, please go vote for it!

Believe it or not, I didn't try to line up the captions in the background to be behind each player's head, the effect was completely accidental. The writing had been on the whiteboard for weeks. I was just trying to get everyone in the same shot and seeing the thought bubbles in the final print was a hilarious surprise.

The captions are a little fuzzy in the thumbnail, left-to-right they read: "This is way more fun than real work!", "Alright!" and "I'm the best fake soccer player ever!"

I got settled into my new desk at work since I got the promotion I've been waiting for since November when I interviewed. I really love all the new space I have compared to my previous itty bitty desk I had. Everyone was making comments here & there about how girly it was & how I seemed to have moved in, haha.
