Woman at Work
This is the traditional way to prepare the parboiled rice in the villages of India. Mostly in Bengal and Assam. Parboiled rice is rice that has been partially boiled in the husk. The three basic steps of parboiling are soaking, steaming and drying. These steps also make rice easier to process by hand, boost its nutritional profile (other than its vitamin-B content, which is denatured) and change its texture. About 50% of the world’s paddy production is parboiled.

Work In Progress. Just need to commission the head sculpt to be created and add some tattoos. His counterpart will come later. I am really excited to be kitbashing these two guys. There are so many ideas in mind for them.

My wife often comments that since it takes so long for me to get ready to go out as a woman, is it worth it?
Of course, it is worth it (what a silly question), but she does make a legitimate observation, i.e., it does take me a long time to get ready.
My excuse is that I am obsessive

Tracks are now being built in the area south of the Kimball station.
The old tracks were demolished, ballast removed, ducts dug up, and now new underground electrical components and lower ballast are in.
Service to Kimball is set to resume early Monday morning after the 9-day closure to make this work possible.

A couple of shots today showing the modern architecture in Paddington Basin, London. Seems to work best in B&W.
I've posted these buildings before, but not with the Fuji X-T1.

People at work think I'm crazy about my Dog Sky!
The wall behind me in my cubicle is filled with pictures of SKY! HeHe!
I also have a wall of my family.
This is what I look at 9 hours a day 4-5 days a week!
Hands are starting to feel carpel tunnel syndrome .
I need to get away from the computer for a while.
It's like a Drug I can't go a day without turning it on.
Photo of my two daughters on my desk at work. Brightens my day whenever I look at them and always keeps me motivated.
Tree trimmers work across the street from my home, cutting back maples and oaks. The estate is populated with trees, and the men's work took several days. A neurosurgeon and his family reside there.
As you can see, it was cold, wet work, and, yes, a light snow was falling. That's enough to give any man the "Working Man Blues," a good Merle Haggard song if you have about four minutes. Despite his blues and his sometime musings about a different life, the workin' man of the song gets the value of work and a paycheck.
It's a big job just gettin' by with nine kids and a wife
I been a workin' man dang near all my life
I'll be working long as my two hands are fit to use
I'll drink my beer in a tavern,
Sing a little bit of these working man blues
—from "Working Man Blues," by Merle Haggard

I picked out everything for this booth. Designed the background and found the place to get it printed (in Atlanta), picked out the furniture and lighting and built the product racks out of a coat and magazine rack from ikea along with some pvc pipe and spray paint from Home Depot and the shag rug came from "as-is" at ikea.
Now the fuckers have to pay me for my work. Can you believe they're actually giving me shit about it? Losers.
