Today the work is accepting what is. Bad weather in my head. Filled with loss and grief with no rhyme or reason. The work is not trying to side step or shut down or grit my teeth. The work is to keep bringing my mind back to this moment, right now, sweet boy home sick, kettle on the stove, sun coming and going. The work is to come back from the low grade roar of the brain storm. This is my work for today.

ITC to benefit from Dutch-funded junior professionals
9 February 2015
(Geneva/The Hague) – The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs today
announced that it would provide funding for two Junior Professional Officers (JPOs) to work for the International Trade Centre (ITC) in 2015, one from a development country and one from The Netherlands.
The announcement was made during a visit by ITC Executive Director Arancha González (LINK: www.intracen.org/itc/about/how-itc-works/management/execu...) to the Netherlands, where she and Lilianne Ploumen, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, signed a memorandum of understanding on the JPO arrangement.
The JPOs will provide technical assistance, policy advice and capacity building in their roles to contribute to the economic and social development of developing countries, while gaining structured training and opportunities for professional development.
The two JPOs are the first to be funded by The Netherlands to work with ITC.
Both Dutch nationals and young professionals from least developed countries will be eligible for the new JPO positions.
‘The young professionals will bring innovative ideas and energy to ITC,’ said Ms. González. ‘In return, they will gain relevant, hands-on experience in trade and development.’
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs is happy to provide young professionals from developing countries with an opportunity to start their career with a lot of training and guidance. In the long run these JPOs will also contribute to other UN-organisations as they progress in their career.
JPOs are positions in the United Nations funded by the Member States. In the Dutch JPO program candidates are selected by the individual organisations and about 50 percent of all JPOs are candidates from development countries. As per the terms of the memorandum of understanding, selected JPOs are appointed for an initial period of 12 months, which can be extended to a maximum of three years.
i work at a beauty supply store.
i know nothing about beauty and supplies,
and i absolutely have no interest in beauty or supplies.
but i enjoy working there cos i like to smell fruity shampoos when i get bored.
i also love to act like a professional beauty supply gal.
all i do is wear all black and read out what it says on the back of the bottles.
people seem to believe i know a lot about the products.
it's fun.
