World-renowned street artist ROA has completed his large painting of a moa on the side of the Canterbury Museum in Christchurch.

The big black and white artwork on the northern wall of the museum was finished this week by the Belgian artist, who is known for his large pictures of animals.

ROA is one of about a dozen artists who have been commissioned to create works as part of the Rise street art festival.

The festival also features an exhibition at the Canterbury Museum of international and Kiwi street artists, work by British street artist Banksy and new work by Australian artist Ian Strange.

The exhibition has already proved to be one of the most popular in the

Local workers from the paddy fields in Ubud , bit of rain never hurt anybody ;)

Well, taking photos of my desk top can be a boring subject...but I love playing with photoshop. Poorly lit images become works of art in themselves.

I cut things out of aluminum cans...the hearts, hands, and circles are all about to be transformed into jewelry.

Ready for the works Christmas no expense spared Christmas doo, I hope 1 of the salesmen’s men is there as I’ve had my eye on him for quite a while ❤️

According to some analysts, as many as three out of every four Americans define their work as stressful, while others argue that occupational stress is becoming a “global pandemic”, especially as the economic crisis rumbles on.

Metal work clothes buttons from the early twentieth century. Some of them are very fun. Some are sew thrus, some have loop shanks and some were studs.

One sometimes touchy but important topic regarding EDS and other chronic illnesses is exercising. Everyone with EDS is affected by it differently, and can even have quite a range of changing abilities and disabilities from day-to-day. Yes, exercise is very important for everyone, and yes, EDSers should try to build up as much muscle as possible to compensate for our stretched-out ligaments especially, but this looks different for every EDSer. Some people with EDS may still be able to jog, whereas other EDSers may be in a wheelchair (part or full time), and everything in between.

So the message is: EDSers, do what you can! Don't feel pressured to do crazy work-outs when you know that it's going to have a far bigger negative impact on you than positive. Just try to do what you can, when you can. Start SLOW, and don't be afraid to "only" do a small amount - it's better than nothing! You're often your own worst enemy: even if others aren't pressuring you, don't pressure yourself, either.

It's the month of May!! Do you know what that means?? It means that it's EDS awareness month!! And to celebrate/do my part, I'm going to *attempt* to take/publish a new picture every day for the next 31 days as a type of photojournalism project to illustrate concepts related to living with chronic illnesses. This is the 12th picture!

**What is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)? EDS is a rare genetic disorder that causes a person's collagen to be defective; collagen is the main component of connective tissue (the "glue" that holds our bodies together) that is the support for ligaments, muscles, skin, organs, joints, and blood vessels. In other words, people with EDS are living in a body that is literally falling apart. We suffer from numerous dislocations/subluxations every single day, skin that rips very easily, bleeding problems, extreme bruising... and SO much more. To learn more about it, please visit www.EDNF.org, or even just Google it!**

The earthquake re-pair work has started on the Knox Church on Bealey Avenue, August 14, 2013 Christchurch New Zealand.

While building after building is torn down in Christchurch, plans are in place to ensure as much of a 131-year-old church is retained as possible.

Knox Church on Bealey Avenue suffered major damage in the February 22 earthquake, however the building's wooden structure remained intact.

This is how my work bench looks like, it's only recently that I picked up this hobby of paper folding (origami), an art that has a special link to my work. And yeah, there is an upturned green umbrella hanging on the right side, which is a key holder cum any-scrap-you-can-put space maker. The credit for this renovation work of my work bench goes to my guide who showed me how important it is to have an "aesthetic sense".
