I work from home full time and have done for the past four years now. This is my current 'office'. It's a mess. In the background you can see one of my many wargames shelves (the others are down in the garage) and the big plastic boxes in which I store my femme clothes. I could probably build some kind of wardrobe solution in that corner, but to be honest I doubt I could fit in enough hanging space for everything.

One evening after work I wrapped Marlon's cube, this included everything from the desk itself, chair, all the items on his desk, and the exterior walls.

Of course, my boss was thrilled of my fine work..

Best work prank ever.

A surprise visitor to the Wigan 100 event held at haigh Hall in Septmber 2002 was this Massey bodied Leyland Titan PD2, which had been new to Wigan Corporation as their 139 in December 1966. The bus was running on trade plates, windowless, minus seats and in the midst of its restoration back to as built condition.

This is the cube that Dave usually sits in when visiting the Pasadena office. Plenty of space -- but an open fishbowl, traffic on two sides, and right outside his boss's office ...

Today i just wanted to concentrate on working on the dolls i first made Tora a new wig(sadly i fucked that a up so no pictures right now) and then i decided to work on some of Nyx tats and i have to say i love how they have turned out, it was defiantly a good idea to plan his tattoos out instead of just jumping in like i did with his sleeve i cant wait to add more to him

though i'm, slightly temped to blush his chest so i have more of a excuse not to put his top on him XD, but best not as i know i would mess it up big time.

Catchy idea, huh? Having worked an entire career in the System Safety field I cannot help but notice things that are wrong, especially if they can contribute to injury or property damage.

While on a meetup with the Flickr Club San Antonio Saturday, I saw this cable connected with clamps. I mentioned to Mark (Copasetic on Flickr) what the problem was and why. He suggested I photo it and post. So, here it is.

The title above is a catchy phrase that helps one remember how to attach clamps to wirerope. There are 3 parts to the clamp: the nuts, the U-bolt, and the saddle. The "live" part of the rope is that part that leads to the load. The "dead" part is just the end and supports nothing. This one is incorrectly attached. If you put much load on this rope, the gripping part (the U-bolt) is on the live wire. The dead end will then just slip through the clamp as if it were a slip-knot; thereby, releasing the load. In this case, though, there was a minimal amount of "load." Otherwise, I would have brought it to the attention of the manager in charge of this facility.

A point of interest (to me at least) is that I have done that many times and I can promise you that every manager I have ever brought problems to their attention has responded VERY Negatively! So, I seldom mention things unless it would result in injury. If it will just result in damage to property or equipment, I let it go and it can become a learning experience for the business, unless I am being paid to do so.

As a side note, notice the end of the cable apparently has been severed by a cutting torch. That could be a signal that other parts of the wire-rope has been heated which can alter the tensile strength of the rope, causing weak segments.

Wow, this description is way more than anyone wants to know. LOL

This architectural work of art is one the world’s largest mosques, with a capacity for an astonishing 40,000 worshippers. It features 82 domes, over a 1,000 columns, 24 carat gold gilded chandeliers and the world's largest hand knotted carpet. The main prayer hall is dominated by one of the world’s largest chandeliers –10 metres in diameter, 15 metres in height and weighing twelve tonnes. The mosque's first ceremony was the funeral of its namesake, Sheikh Zayed, who is buried at the site.

Reflective pools surround the mosque, amplifying its beauty. The striking white and gold colours shining in the sun are transformed at night by a unique lightning system which reflects the phases of the moon.

Thank you ResNET,

For the last three years I have had the privilege of working at ResNET.

Rajen Patel and Kenrick Powers recognized that I needed something more and wanted to harness that energy. I needed to try to expand the boundaries of ResNET. I needed to reach out to users. I needed to explore the campus behind the camera lens. The amount of time and resources they have invested on my development have not been wasted.

I owe them a debt of gratitude for such an opportunity.

The photos that bear my name are the by-product of that development. There were many other things behind the scenes that most people will never stop to think twice about. The development of a new ResNET logo. The improvements made to the wireless and cable network. Minor customer service protocols that are now the norm. All things major and minor that we have accomplished have been influential in my development.

For those who will replace me, I urge you to rise above what is expected of you. ResNET is a laboratory for developing technical skills. You may never get a chance like this again. Do not squander such a gift. If you fail, you will do so in the name of progress. If you succeed, you will have all the more to put on your resume.

Thank you,

Ken Fager

PS: I most likely drank more Diet Mt. Dew than I ever paid for. You basically subsidized my caffeine addiction.
