. this is half of today's dye load. I'm attempting to dye 8-10oz. chunks of wool at a time (as opposed to my regular 3-ish oz. lots). Initially, I was worried that the wool would come out pastel and that I wouldn't get the dye ratios right- but so far, so good!

Mystical Creation Yarns wool/silk in "Exotic"

I love how "rustic" this yarn is. I'm using it for a clapotis and it makes a lovely stripe and the nubbiness of the yarn gives the ubiquitous pattern a little different twist. Also, the silk gives it a lovely sheen.
