I just finished this handspun today and I *love* it. I wanted to spin more but the spindle got too heavy and kept breaking the fiber so I had to stop.
41.89 yards of sheep's wool (not sure what, but it's nearly as soft as merino) not dyed by me in a range of maroons. Spun and then plied into a two-ply yarn on my Golding drop spindle.

In this photo you can tell that I didn't do the top of the first hat (the reddish one) quite correctly.

I beaded one strand of the large skein as I spun it.
Large skein is 2.35 oz, 150 yards.
My very own sock yarn! Aplaca and wool singles, plied and dyed in the oven in a casserole dish. I am starting to knit a pair of socks for soctoberfest with this. The alpaca halo's beautifully.
This is quite possibly the first thing I ever bought on eBay, a million years ago. OK, 13 years ago. But still.
