I bought a skein of every colour of Bernat Satin last year to knit a blankie for my son. I have lots of left overs which actually come in hany more often thatI thought it would. I've knit lots of toys and java cuffs with the leftovers. Thought I'd flash the leftovers in honour of the 3rd annual flash your stash day.

Using different wool yarns in my stash for this ongoing project.

The amount of the second ball of knitpicks shadow that was left after I finished the skater overtop.

This is made from tapestry weaving wool blended into different colours and crocheted into blocks and then sewn together. Still a work in progress.

I went to the wool shop to buy some wool to knit a jumper for our toddler son and I came home with this, wool/silk/angora dryclean only totally impractical loveliness..............oops!

I frogged the arms of a jumper that I never wear to get this (100% wool) yarn. Now I'm not sure what to do with it, as it looks really weird whenever I try to crochet with it. I'm going to have to learn to knit I think.

Handmade knitted leg warmers for babies and kids.

Made of 50% wool / 50% acryll

What could I make out of this?

I did a big dyebath of a sweater's worth of cotton and this, lambswool with a strand of spandex recycled from a Gap stretch sweater. Oddly, the spandex dyed a darker blue than the wool, when I expected it not to take the dye at all.

South African Fine Wool spinning fiber

WOOSH is a very chunky thick and thin yarn. The spinning was done for us by a family mill in Italy. We do the dyework ourselves in Northern California.

Here's what we say about it on our website (www.artfibers.com):

85% merino wool, 15% alpaca

8 stitches X 11 rows = 4"/10cm on US #17 needles

0.56 yards per gram

45.00 yards required for one square foot (knit to gauge in stockinette)

WOOSH will fly through your hands at near the speed of light, its thick/thin texture creating a playful landscape of surprise. What happens when you can make things as quickly as you imagine them?

Price per yard dyed: $0.25

Price per yard undyed: $0.20

Artfibers sells all of its yarns by the yard, on cones. buy as much or as little as you actually need. To purchase, just send an email to yarn@artfibers.com. We'll send you an invoice, you can pay online. Easy!

Then Ma made one in this wool for my sister (has flaps over the ears AND a pom-pom!). Decided I liked it too, now I'm getting one of those.

Made from Paton's wool that I kool-aid dyed awhile back. Used the Little Fire Sleep Sack pattern for the bottom and Bev's crocheted roundie pattern for the top. If you want links, just LMK-they're free :)

Still trying to figure out if this set would benefit from matching scratch mittens or not....anyone have any thoughts?
