Well, I'm walkin' down the line,
I'm walkin' down the line
An' I'm walkin' down the line.
My feet'll be a-flyin'
To tell about my troubled mind.

Love how the pastel colors are reflected. When I look at this photo, the word 'serene' comes to mind.
First time I have ever been to this location. We saw one vehicle parked below so I was expecting to see people. Got all the way up there and found a couple sitting star gazing. I still some how managed to "sneak" up on them. They looked over at me and asked if we were there to smoke. I laughed and said no, just here to take some pictures of the milky way. They asked what the milky way was.
I learned a few things and taught a few things. It made me remember that I was also once that way. It also made me think that I wish more people were like them. Go out, look at the night stars and dream. Shut your phone off and have a conversation with someone seems like such a hard task in this day and age...

Got up to shoot Devils Doorway at dawn... bonus to walk around the bend while waiting for rays to hit the Doorway and much to my surprise, I find lots of vivid fog across the Wisconsin River Valley.

The city of Wausau, Wisconsin is cut in half from north to south by the Wisconsin River. City leaders have finally begun to develop the waterfront including 16 acres of former industrial land along the east side of the river. Plans include extending the River Edge Parkway that some day (hopefully) will run along both sides of the river from one end of the city to the other, physically linking all the parks located along the river. As part of that development the city is tearing down many of the old buildings in that area. On a recent Saturday I went out to capture some buildings that are still standing before they disappear forever.

On a 90+ F (32+ C) degree day, these two were peddling up a hill after a morning fishing in the Wisconsin River. Something about the care the father is showing that touched me.
Use a high key with this show the heat. As you can see from the shadows, it was close to noon and the heat was oppressive.

The glacial formations along the Wisconsin River are spectacular in the fall. Ride the Ducks for the best view.
Spent the weekend in Prairie Du Sac, WI, a place where eagles roost on the Wisconsin River. The whole town is centered on eagle tourism. They have huge binoculars on the main street, overlooking the Wisconsin River. That's where this guy was. He was right behind Culver's restaurant! overlooking the WI River. Somebody that was in the restaurant pointed him out to me. She came outside to get a better look at him.
I was several hundred yards from him. I was amazed he let me get so close.

A wind sweeping across the water also added more blue tones to the image. Taken at Lake Wausau (aka Wisconsin River) in Wausau, Wisconsin (Marathon County) on April 4, 2015.
