those yellow winglets look nice against a beautiful blue sky, while the Rollers purr away..

Ryanair have started retro-fitting their older Boeing 737-8AS's with 'Split Scimitar' winglets. I think this is the first one, it's certainly the first one I've seen.

 

This aircraft was delivered to Ryanair as EI-DLX in Oct-06 with standard blended winglets. It was fitted with 'Split Scimitar' winglets in Feb-23 during a recent major overhaul. Current, updated 09-Mar-23.

While I originally drove north to get out from under the clouds, enough were still in the area when the substorm kicked off...and they definitely add some interest to the images.
