After a month of taking a break and trying to develop my own skins, I decided to do something totally wild. I decided to mix all types of Rainmeter skins into 1 big jumble. And I bring you, DJ. This setup totally goes against everything I believe: using less screen space. I wanted to lug down my 32 inch monitor from my dads computer but its too much work. All these skins are included in my Transformation pack, which you will find the link at the bottom. I mentioned that I would start Project "Rockstar69" and I will be on that project shortly. I will be using my 32' display, since it is widescreen and any setup with 2 sidebars looks nice in a widescreen format. As soon as my first successful project will be finished I will be cranking out Transformation pack v3. Project Rockstar69 will be having a total remake over, including rainmeter skins (waiting for arcs to come out) launchy skins and Visual styles. Stay tuned for that

I finally got the pieces of my office desk up here, and with some cussing, drilling, glue managed to re-assemble it (a few of those cam/post things got mangled in my hast of packing up).
So on the right side, meet Order, the most clean and neat this office will be once I start sitting in the chair. On the left, is the prevailing Chaos of piles of crap- books, notes, cables, sloppily labeled CDs, papers, old conference programs, dirty coffee cups... who shall prevail?
FYI - I created the panorama images using the stitch mode in the Canon Powershot- it show the previous shot to help you line up good overlap. The PhotoSticher utility that comes with the camera was crap - it was curvy, and had huge mis-matches. To get a quailuty image, I had to launch AutoStitcher (free app from University of British Columbia) in WindowsXP (sitting in Parallels on my Mac). This in itself was a painful experience as Windows has to assert I have unused icons on my desktop (who cares? and how do I tell Windows I dont give a hoot), nagging Norton updates, somehow i trying to move an icon my stupid taskbar is stuck on the right side of the screen... well, lets just say I have to be highly motivated to even go this deep into Windows.
But Autostitch does this stuff best.
Ok, so I kind of made a boo-boo last night. The Boot Camp instructions say that you MUST use a Windows XP disc with SP2 integrated. Since I didn't have one on hand yet, I decided to throw caution to the wind and use my Windows XP SP1 disc instead.
Surprisingly, Windows loaded fine as did most of the drivers. There were a few snags, however, and it does seem that the Boot Camp driver disc won't load correctly.
If anything, it was a good test to see how Boot Camp handles the removal of XP from the disc. Easily, just for the record.
The Doors made the "Morrison Hotel" album. Well, I got the Windows XP Hotel. It doesn't have the same kind of klang, though.
Reminds me of flying Windows XP logo screen saver, don't you think?
Those of you living in Helsinki: Can you guess what hotel? :)
yes , this is going to be a famous laptop , i always have it with me , you never know when you need to show someone something or connect to the net

The wallpaper is patterned from fcreloaded. I generally like to keep my desktop clear so I can use it as a temporary workspace for the current project.

Waar de designnazis met de rechterhand in de lucht en twee vingers van de linkerhand onder de neus met de pseudohippe meute meemarcheren ben ik een echte individualist. Just do it en zo.

Suddenly a few weeks ago, my craptastic Windows PC suddenly stopped allowing other machines to access its file shares.
At the time I had a quick look to make certain that "File and Print Sharing" was still ticked under Exceptions. Which it was.
Today I decided to have a closer look. So I turned on the firewall log. And sure enough even though UDP ports 139 and 145 and TCP ports 137 and 138 are clearly marked as open for machines on the same subnet, the firewall is still DROPping them.
All my machines are on the same subnet, but if I change the scope on UDP 139 and TCP 137 to allow access for any machine (i.e. machines from different subnets) to these ports and suddenly I can access them again.
Even though all my machines ARE on the same subnet.
What the hell? Am I missing something or is this an actual bug?
New technology (Android 4.2.1 - Jelly Bean, circa 2012) has trouble connecting to Windows XP (circa 2001) through USB.
The default Xandros installation was too confining for me. I wasn't able to install any programs for my work in GIS and GPS, or for my geocaching hobby. So I picked up a copy of XP Home SP1 on eBay for cheap. First step was slipstreaming SP2 into the installation. I burned that image onto a CD. I also wanted to try running nLite on the installation to shrink it down. I was fairly conservative about the components I removed and went from 571MB to 310MB. To my surprise, my nLited install went smoothly. I installed the Eee-specific device drivers and everything was up and running. I'm probably going to add a gig of RAM (found a sale for $15) and get an 8GB SDHC card for additional storage and programs.
This picture is a screen shot to my desktop the background is my BackStreet Boys wallpaper (muah!) and the rest are icons and other programmes...lol.
this pic will be the last one from me in this month because ..... :
there's good news =) and bad news =(..
the good news is: my birthday in the 15th of this June =)
the bad news is: my final examinations in the 29th of the same month which means "I have to keep on studying till the end of the month" =(
So wish me the good luck ...I'll miss you all ...take care for me .....
I think since the Cluetrain Manifesto tenets have been sinking in, we have to read less of this boldfaced stupidity. Or maybe it's just because I bought a Mac.

Prefiero mantener mi escritorio sin iconos por que en verdad casi nunca los uso por que mantengo el Firefox maximizado y muy poco me acerco para usar el escritorio, solo cuando necesito tener algo a la mano por dos a tres minutos.
Microsoft has announced a pair of new mid-range Windows Phone devices, the Lumia 640 and 640 XL.
After a cheap mobile? Microsoft is putting its hat in the ring with two new models. As seems to be the trend these days, the Lumia 640 and 640 XL get you big screens without a big price.

My colleague was already logged in to the Lloyds TSB online banking site when this popup appeared within the page. Since he's on a secure website, you'd *almost* think it was legitimate, but it most certainly isn't.
After calling Lloyds' online department he was informed that this is *not* something that Lloyds themselves have added to their site and straight away recommended he run a virus check. They confirmed that other people have also reported the same popup.
Worryingly, if they'd asked for a little less information then he might have actually filled it in.
It's worth noting that our company-wide antivirus software did *not* pick this one up, but Malwareytes (freeware) did.
