It all finally came together... for now at least. ;)

Shot from Ken's Barber Shop in Boise Idaho from June of 2002. Shots taken with the Casio QV-3500EX.

The view at the coastguard cottages at Seaford Head; the beach of Cuckmere haven and the cliffs of Severn Sisters country park in the background.

Doesn't this look like the classic windows XP screen saver. Also can you believe that there is absolutely no post processing except for some sharpening and a little bump in saturation.

This picture was taken in Palouse, WA on the scenic byway. I have some hundreds of pictures like this. Every single frame was a picture in this scenic byway. I couldn't help but to stop my car every one minute and take a couple of pictures. It was hard to avoid passing by without a click and weather was perfect with some wonderful clouds as you can see above after a terrible, rainy and cloudy saturday, I went back sunday and took these shots.

Windows XP, anybody ?

It is easy to use an Upgrade edition of Windows XP on a MacBook with Boot Camp, contrary to reports. All you need is a USB-connected external CD-Rom drive in which to place your old version of Windows (I used Win 98SE). It recognized that the disc was in the external drive automatically, without me even having to press a key. CompUSA has the full edition of XP Pro listed at $299.99 right now. I bought the upgrade edition during an instant rebate deal for $99. This IO Magic External USB CD-Rom drive is available for under $40 (see pricegrabber.com). So my total cost: $140. My savings: $300-$140=$160 ! Woohoo!

MSI once again equips a general purpose GP series unit with powerful hardware for a relatively cheap price. A mid-range graphics card from Nvidia and a Core i5 dual-core CPU from Intel are installed. The MSI GP60 Gaming G Series is an awesome gaming laptop and the Maxwell graphics and Haswell processor is a good combination.

Pluspunten

+ Full HD scherm

+ Steelseries toetsenbord

+ Goede gaming performance

+ Lekker snel

+ Mooi design

Managed to capture screensavers. Thought I'd share :-)

This was snapped up at a roadside stop somewhere in the middle of WA. The rest areas are way nicer in the States; they even had free coffee and cookies. In Canada we're lucky if we get a litter bin.

I was just about to go out yesterday, when I turned off my desktop. Right then, Chestnut, my second cat, decided to get up from the window where she was sleeping in the sun (behind the computer tower). It was getting too warm for her. When that happens she decides to plop herself down at my keyboard. Now I know enough to move it out of the way (it is a wireless keyboard).

Yes, you read right; I'm still using Windows XP on this old clunker. I've had it for nearly 12 years now, and it still works well. I am looking into getting Photoshop for my laptop, in which case I can move all of my files over to my external hard drive, or move some to my laptop, and eventually ditch this machine. But it still serves me well when tweaking my stuff on Photoshop. And there isn't a lot of room to use both this and my laptop on the same desk.

But I thought the way Chestnut was sleeping her was worth getting with my smartphone camera.

The verdant green hill kissed the blue sky at Corner Brook, NL. This landscape reminded me the windows xp theme, couldn't resist to take the shot!

Work Windows XP computer desktop, annotated.

I'm intensely interested in what people's computer desktops look like - which shortcuts they've deemed important enough to show all the time, how they arrange icons, what's on their docks, etc. I'm starting a new Flickr tag, desktopshowandtell, to use Flickr's awesome annotation to get people to show and tell me what their desktops look like and what software they use.

Take a screenshot of yours, tag it desktopshowandtell, and let me know in the comments.

This photo posted the wheredoyouwork group. This is my desk on offfice. I'm working with dual display monitor ( PowerbookG4 and Dell 17inch monitor ), Vaio Type-TR (WindowsXP), iPod, AKIRA's toys, feed reader and blogging tool....

New desktop wallpaper on my right-hand screen, showing the best thing on American television at the moment, Heroes.

Note, there isn't a big black bit at the top of my screen, my workspace is non-rectangular, with the left-hand monitor being portrait (mainly for code) and the right-hand monitor being landscape.
