An original display designed by RGM StudioM 2002. Santa has flown into a duststorm in the Outback and landed on the top of this delivery truck. Santa' s boots are waving in mid air and Rudolph with bent antlers is on the back reading an upside down map. A cattle dog is agawk at the sight while the driver is oblivious.

The books in the scene as they were in our workshop in 2005 showing clearly the credits to the true designers and creators. The scene was designed and made in StudioM's workshop and then sold to a promotions and animations company which inserted a simple commonly used mechanism above the scene to create some simple motion. The company has exhibited it widely and used it frequently in their promotions and marketing. Any subsequent claims by this company, its puppeteer director or any other involved in its display and exhibition to being its creator, 'the mastermind' or 'creative force' behind this scene and any of the other scenes shown on these pages would be COMPLETELY FALSE, deliberately misleading and an infringement of StudioM's copyright. Any removal or alteration to the attributions to how they are visibily shown here, with the purpose to deceive the true authorship, is against copyright. All original drawings, sketches and specifications to the dollmaker are retained by StudioM along with copyright.

The exterior and back of the Toy Maker scene - designed and made by StudioM to enable its use as an independent scene which can be moved into any area, add a few Christmas trees and some false snow carpet, a snowman and voila! an easy Christmas display for inside shopping centres or shops. The front of the scene is shown in other photos and the back of it as shown here. Scene designed and made by StudioM 2003 at our workshop. Sold to a Promotions company which has widely exhibited the scene and the other 65 scenes that they bought from us through various media. However, any subsequent claims by this company, its puppeteer director or any other involved in its exhibition or display, to be the 'creator', 'creative force' or 'the mastermind' behind it are COMPLETELY false, deliberately misleading, an infringement of our copright. The true credits for this scene are shown as the titles on the books helping to jack up the car. Designed and made by StudioM at our workshop in Cooroy/Tinbeerwah hinterland. Moral rights/ copyright held RGM StudioM. The scene was sold after this photo was taken to an animation and promotions company which has exhibited it widely since. However any claims by this company its puppeteer director or any other, to being the creator, 'the mastermind' or 'creative force' behind it are COMPLETELY false, dishonestly misleading and an infringement of StudioM's copyright. The company saw the scene for the first time after this photo and on delivery. The attributions within the scene as shown above should by copyright law still be there, visible and unchanged.

Juanita made elves.... and the mice to our design, drawings and specifications in Clifton. All originals of sketches, drawings and specification notes remain with StudioM as does copyright.

This mouse is trying its corset whilst another reads the newspaper which tells it all - attributions to the designer and creators on front page- you can just see "DESIGNED... The newspaper's full text should read 'Designed and created by StudioM' if it has not been changed against copyright.

Juanita Wellings made mice and elves to our specifications in her Clifton home

A view of the mice where Grandelf's rocking chair has been sawn off at the legs to use the chair in the new pedal car being built. His cup, glasses, knitting and open reading matter remains. The mouse in foreground is pumping the battery and the other mouse is rolling down with one of the wheels to be used.

Small part of a scene designed and made by RGM from StudioM at our workshop. Copyright and all artistic licence for this scene is held by StudioM. The scene was sold to an animation and promotions company which put in some simple motion to the scene by adding a rotating shaft and cams system above the scene and attaching fishing lines between the cams and the mice and elves below thus creating some very gentle up and down motion. It is a method that is commonly used in animating such scenes. The company has since falsely claimed to be the 'mastermind' and 'creative force' behind it, and have marketed it and exhibited as their own work which is an infringement of our copyright - they had no creative input into the scene. All original sketches, drawings and specification notes for this and all of our scenes shown on these pages are retained by StudioM.

Juanita, a dollmaker in Clifton, made the elves and the mice to my drawings and specifications. The originals of all drawings, sketches and specifications are retained by StudioM as does copyright.

The sketches for the two elves which we sent to a dollmaker to have made. Our instructions were for wire armature to be included in the making so that they could be postioned almost as they are in the drawing in frozen animation without the need for speed. We also wanted them in all black outfits, legs and boots all in one, with golden spiky hair as shown. They looked great, just how I had instructed and intended to use with company logos sewn onto their outfits in visual displays especially kitchen and lifestyle shops interspersed within the displays of items.

The Snow Baubler machine where snow is poured into the funnel and with air being pumped into the machine by the bellows, bubbles emerge from the top which are gathered by the elves and then carefully painted to make baubles for decorations. The stainless steel steamer on top of the Baubler can easily be pulled up and down by a fishing line conected to an overhead rotating cam system, making the baubler operate. The white light diffuser under this allows a LED to glow which really livens up the scene . Designed and made by RGM of StudioM 2005. Copyright held. Scene sold to a promotions company AFTER this photo was taken at the StudioM workshop. Any claims by this company, its puppeteer director or any other involved in its display and exhibition to being its creator, the 'creative force' or 'mastermind' behind it is dishonest, COMPLETELY false and an infringement of copyright. Originals of all sketches, drawings, photos and specification notes for this scene and our other scenes on this site are retained by StudioM along with copyright.

Juanita in Clifton made the elves and mice for us to our drawings and specifications.

The Treematic Tree Treecycler machine which turns prunings from forest trees at the North Pole into recycled Christmas trees - just pour the cuttings into the funnel at top, adjust the indicator for the size tree you require and wait for it to come through the tube on the left. The elves who work here are jolly good fellers, who enjoy a daily prune or two. AFTER this photo was taken, it was bought by a Promotions company which specialises in animation. They inserted some motion by inserting above the scene a motorised rotating shaft and cam system to which fishing lines connect with objects below. As the shaft and cams rotate the fishing lines move with them causing a gentle rise and fall motion of objects below.

Scene designed and made by StudioM at our studio in Tinbeerwah/ Cooroy in 2005 -copyright held - attributions to StudioM on sign on right side of machine - see the note which should still be there and visible by copyright law.

The prunings are dropped in but so too is a mouse. Another hangs on by his toenails to pull the mouse out of the hole while another holds a stick for him to hold onto

This scene was designed and made by StudioM 2005 copyright at our Tinbeerwah home studio. The scene was sold AFTER this photo was taken by a promotions and animation company who later put in some simple up and down motion to the scene by inserting overhead a rotating shaft and cam system with fishing lines attached between the cams and objects below. This is a well sed method of animation. Any claims by this comapny and its puppeteer director to being 'the mastermind' or the 'creative force behind' it. or to having any involvement in its design or creation to this stage would be COMPLETELY false, deliberately misleading and an infringement of copyright. There is a small sign on the side giving credit and correct attribution to StudioM with copyright and legally should still be there and visible to the public.

Juanita in Clifton made the elves and the mice to StudioM specifications and all originals of these, sketches and designs are retained by StudioM.

Every elf and mouse has a job to do - whether it is done according to the supervisor's plan is another thing. With a ruler that marks out measurements with markings stating -'as long as it needs to be' - no wonder all is not square or true.

Designed and made by StudioM at our workshop in Cooroy/Tinbeerwah hinterland. Moral rights/ copyright held RGM StudioM. This scene was sold after this photo was taken to a promotions company which added some simple animation by inserting a rotating shaft and cam system above the scene to which fishing lines between the rotatting cams and objects below caused some very simple up and down motion. The scene has been advertised many times by the company. However, subsequent claims by the company or its director to being its 'creator', the 'creative force' or 'mastermind' behind it are COMPLETELY false, deliberately misleading and an infringement of copyright. The first time the company saw the scene and its content was when it was delivered to their premises in its finished state as seen here.

All originals of drawings, sketches and written specifications are retained by StudioM along with copyright.

Meanwhile, in Clifton Qld, Juanita made elves and mice to our specifications and drawings, to which we added several extras, like the wings to this mad elf, and secured them into position.

Bird's-eye view of Michelangelo's design for the Campidoglio, 1569

Étienne Dupérac

Etching, first state

Michelangelo became involved in plans to renovate the Capitoline Hill (Campidoglio) in the 1530s. Finally, in the 1560s, he transformed this unwieldy site into a stately piazza by renovating the Palazzo dei Conservatori. Construction began in 1563, barely a year before his death. Michelangelo reworked an old window design from the Palazzo Farnese (on the nearby plinth) to design a niche within the new palace.*

From the exhibition

Michelangelo the last decades

(May – July 2024)

In 1534, Michelangelo left Florence for Rome, never to see his native city again. He was 59, which many contemporaries regarded as old, but for Michelangelo this move marked the beginning of a dramatic new chapter which would fundamentally shape his experiences as an artist and as a man.

This exhibition looked at the last 30 years of Michelangelo's remarkable life, when his return to Rome – having been summoned by Pope Clement VII to paint a fresco of the Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel – brought him new commissions and reunited him with some of his closest friends.

Having secured his reputation with works including his famous statue of David, Michelangelo was already the most celebrated artist in Europe. But, rather than resting on his laurels, his Christian faith, intellectual engagement and hope for salvation propelled him to produce some of the most striking works of his career. Forceful preparatory drawings for the Last Judgment, which were on show, as well as the monumental Epifania – one of only two surviving cartoons by Michelangelo – demonstrate his renewed energy and desire to challenge himself.

These works were displayed alongside studies for Michelangelo's grand architectural projects as well as drawings, poems and intimate letters that reveal his personal passions and anxieties. Rather than showing an artist in decline, this exhibition showed the astonishing dynamism that Michelangelo brought to his work in the final decades of his life as he explored salvation and confronted his mortality.

This gives a new dimension to air brushing. The elf with the paint brush in his hand and bucket of paint in his other, has his foot caught up in a rope and with the other elf pulling the rope up and down, his painting efforts are made mid air.

David JOnes Christmas windows 2006 - 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' with the DJ choir joyfully singing this carol to the passerbys on the Castlereagh Street corner. Part of the choir as they looked in their original form. We liked them, as well as many others who saw them at our studio, as they are shown here in their exaggerated form, especially,Tina Turner or Li Li Chin in the front, Freddie Mercury/ aka Mario in the back row, and not to forget Aunt Clara from 'Bewitched' in the middle. We thought they looked an enthusiastic, HUMOROUS, lively, multi cultural and joyful bunch of retail choralists with a satire on marionette puppets, which is what we, as the designers, wanted and had emphasised in our original design notes that were presented to DJ's. We wanted them to be very much in the style of the old english tv comedy series, 'Are you being served' .... especially with Mrs Sloachim in mind. Unfortunately, these characters received a whitewashing and dulling down by the promotions company to be more in keeping with their conservative style of puppet people.

Peter made up some wooden shoulders with holes, much like the top of broom handles into which the wooden sticks holding the heads were secured. I used socks, cut along the bottom to pull over the timber 'shoulders' as shown here for the undergarments before the robe was placed on them by the factory's puppet and costume maker. They worked well and covered up the 'necks' perfectly. This is how they looked before being placed into the scene and being taken to the promotions company site.

As they were to move up and down, the promotions company supplied the bases for the people... polystyrene balls of three different sizes that I had specified, with the cuts for their mouths as shown here glued and hinged onto pieces of dowel for their necks. I have covered the dowels with the thick socks that are cut open. The dowels and the bottom lips of the puppets were secured, therefore allowing the heads to be pulled up slightly, giving the appearance that they were singing. They came to us as round polystyrene balls on sticks with the mouth pieces cut out and hinged. You can see the cutouts which we painted black inside...again to over emphasise the marionette look as we had designated in our design notes. Look at the set of the windows under construction to see a photo of these people on their arrival to our studio as polystyrene balls on sticks.
