The seaside town of Tenby is famous for its colourful houses, but rather than shooting the obvious "big view" I went for some detail shots. The Leica X-U doesn't have to be used underwater!

In our little boro of Stonington, a leisurely walk will provide much history and information!

Please excuse me if I'm a bit hit and miss with faving and commenting but we have company for a few days

A country garden that sits beside the trail heading south.

Someone really needs to return my brain...this title slump is driving me mad.

We just loved the hostess of our air B&B who is also an artist and jazz vocalist, in addition to many other talents! She felt an extra window would be a charming addition to the side of her house, which was next door to our cottage!

the old houses around the square are full of character

There are always long lines waiting for a lobster roll at Red's Eats. A whole lobster in one roll!

Wiscasset, Maine

A window in one of the buildings just outside the Pile Gates in a plaza. This is outside the Old City of Dubrovnik and probably the biiuldings here just over 100 years old. This one has a windowbox with some beautiful flowers.

Noticed this window yesterday and just liked it, especially with the window box/flower tub as the ledge.

Much better viewed large.

Thank you for your favourites. :O)

Kennebunk ME. Display at the local nursery, inside and out.

I joined a guided history tour around the village of Cheekpoint in Co. Waterford back in May. This small cottage had so much to love in its front garden, I especially liked the flowers in the symmetrically planted window boxes HWW!

Aschaffenburg is a large town in northwest Bavaria, Germany. It is located on the right bank of the Main at the foot of the Spessart. The town of Aschaffenburg is not considered part of the district of Aschaffenburg, but is the administrative seat. It is also known as the Tor zum Spessart or "gate to the Spessart." Although it is within Bavaria, the town inhabitants claim to be Franconians, not Bavarians. This is consistent with the attitude of the inhabitants of other parts of Franconia, all of which lies within the state of Bavaria. However, Aschaffenburg was never part of historical Franconia, it belonged to the Archbishopric of Mainz. The inhabitants neither speak Bavarian nor Franconian but rather a type of Hessian dialect.

Not sure our basil is going to make the first planting!

Think it's drowning!

But everything is so beautifully green!

Geraniums in a window box with the waterfall of Hallstatt in the background

...this was the longest flower box I've ever seen, on display in front of a store in Port Elgin. I love walking the streets of quaint little towns.

Another shot taken in NZ, this time the pretty little town of Akaroa, not far from Christchurch ... above the quaintest little corner shop.

Woody called in for some breakfast.
