(Yes, I am aware of the typo)

The main idea for this creation is that somehow Makuta has captured the Toa's masks and is using his dark magic to wield all their power at once. Each arm has a gear in the back that can spin the masks while the hands stay still, as if they were orbiting around the hand like elemental fireballs.

For the build I wanted to go for a more wizardly, regal, and more royal look than Makuta is traditionally known for while still keeping familiar elements. I'm particularly proud of how the chest and head turned out.

This guy was built together VERY last minute. I had made a parts order weeks before, but since I didn't expect them to come in before the contest was over I hadn't had much built when they showed up a few days ago. Really I could have never finished him without the emotional support and help of my family. Shoutout to them for offering their time even if my poor time-management caused the problem.

Please check out the entry page and good luck to everyone participating in the competition!

History: A product of the pride of the Predecessors, Project: Avalon is the first successful attempt at creating a synthetic life form. Unit-7 was built by the Predecessors to wield the Distortion Engine, a device that can bend the fabric of reality. Avalon, as she prefers to be called, was programmed to serve Diaa in the Predecessor-Conduit war on Okoto. Following Diaa's fall, Avalon was temporarily deactivated, but Diaa reactivated her once he returned to Okoto. Now, she works for Diaa as he seeks revenge on Okoto.

Personality:

Although she was programmed to be an emotionless killing machine, Avalon possesses a pure soul. Even after years of being used as a living weapon, she is naive and innocent at heart. She is not particularly evil; she has merely been misguided by Diaa. She has even showed the capacity to care for eithers, as is exemplified by her friendship with her partner, Ryylem. The disparity between her soul and her intended nature and her inability to fully tap into the Distortion Engine's power led her creators to build her siblings, Unit-8 Echelon and Unit-9 Paragon.

Abilities: Avalon is an incredibly capable fighter, able to defeat even Ahi and Gaxello in combat. Her synthetic body is quite strong, and her programming gives her a proprensity for tactics and strategy. Her levitation gear gear grants her great mobility and agility on the ground and in the air. The Caliburn blades are versatile weapons that can be mounted on her shoulders as guns, or can be used as katanas. Her most useful tool is her Distortion Engine which she carries on her back. She can use this device to bend reality around her, allowing her to deflect attacks. She can also use her engine offensively by combining it with her Caliburn blades to form Excalibur, the Distortion Blade.

Note: The only known individual to defeat Avalon is Krona.

Odin is appeased. Not exactly ecstatic , but happy enough to call off the Lucille*-wielding draugar. At least for now. It appears that Herr Southgate (current England football team manager) has developed a backbone and is willing to make substitutions before the last minute of the game**.

So, as an interlude, before the dragar rise again, I’ll post an image of a place that Odin thinks of as his holiday home on Midgard. The land of Ice and Fire. And photographers. My two reprobate colleagues (shutterbug_uk2012 and Lindi m ) who got me into all sorts of trouble, including Icelandic rozzer dodging.

* A Walking Dead reference. Look it up.

**To make Odin happier, he needs to demonstrate true footballing tactical intelligence and put Kane on the subs bench**

Hi friends! Welcome to my new mini series! I've been working with the awesome and talented Alex Zyuzikov to create and design a fun comic series that will hopefully bring something new to Flickr and all our contacts! It's been a fun challenge since I live in Arizona and Alex is in California. It's also been a way for us to stretch our imagination and use our talents in an unusual way! I really hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!

Don't forget to add me or Alex as a contact so you can follow along!

Another What If...? concept I thought would be cool to post

The Paprihaven Mall is always a spot for great conversations, and the highly polished floor of the arcade hosts the reflection of an intense discussion of the edge quality of various blades.

Mitsurugi Meiya: My blade is one of the three Sacred Treasures of Japan, the Kusanagi no Tsurugi, the sword of the Imperial regalia.

In addition to an edge that can slice through hardened steel like water, it is embued with the mystical energy of all the valor of Japan's greatest swordsmen.

I not only wield Kusanagi no Tsurugi, this fabled sword wields me.

Saber: Just as Mitsurugi uses her country's finest blade, I wield the majestic Excalibur itself. The sword of the great King Arthur. It has all the power one would expect from such a singular artifact, and more.

The blade embodies the wielder's spirit, imbuing each attack with a sense of heroism. The sword itself is a Noble Phantasm with remarkable capability, and is considered the greatest of all magical swords in speed and attack power.

As a product of the inner sea, the sword is most powerful against those who wish to harm the planet. Sacred to the earth, Excalibur is exalted as a “crystal trained by the heart alone.” and feeds it's power from the glory and dreams of all humanity.

Excalibur's power can be a directed energy weapon because it channels a magic supply into a beam of light from the sword's point. Driven with such valiance, I've managed to take down some intensely formidable forces.

For example, there was the Gigantic Horror, an evil demon with instant regeneration! This made most attacks futile but, using Excalibur, I was able to incinerate the being, destroying every atom of its flesh. There was nothing left to regenerate!

I also finished off Caster himself with the sword. In fact, Excalibur has the ability to obliterate entire legions of monsters in a fatal blow.

Wonder Woman: Japan and Britain are both honorable but I take you to Greece and, specifically, Mount Olympus. My sword was forged by Hephaestus. Need I say more?

Saber: Yes, because I don't know who that is!

Wonder Woman: Psh! Hephaestus is the Greek god of blacksmiths and metalworking. There is no weapon he cannot forge and no goals his weapons cannot achieve.

This particular blade is the Imítheos Dolofónos. It is designed to kill the most powerful of creatures, even Zeus himself. As with both of your weapons, my sword is semi-sentient, able to assist me in guiding attacks. If needed, of course.

Imítheos Dolofónos is seething with eldritch energy which enables it to repair itself. How can you dull an edge that is always self-repairing? And, finally, it can reflect the energy of attacks. If we cross swords, mine will not only bounce the energy of your attack back into your weapon, but it will do so with two-fold destructive force.

A lot of very powerful weapons are said to be indestructible. But when faced with another weapon that is just as powerful or even more powerful, one often shatters. This is where my sword beyond most if not all other weapons.

Even if my sword may be shattered or destroyed, it can always reform itself. This means that the can never really be truly destroyed.

If I drop or throw the Imítheos Dolofónos in combat, I can recall it and it will return to me. Even if separated, Imítheos Dolofónos will always find its way back to me.

Rin Tohsaka: Well I use the Azoth Sword! My shortsword, or long dagger if you prefer, is a mystic code in and of itself. The Azoth Sword amplifies my magecraft, assisting with my spellcasting and intensifying them. So, unlike all of you, I don't typically go around poking people with my sword.

Rather, this fine blade can form magic circles, it can cause helpful or catastrophic effects in the physical and ethereal realms.

If I wanted to stoop to such a mundane use, I could certainly puncture someone with it and kill them but, honestly, wouldn't that be a tragic underuse of the Azeroth Sword?

While your weapons are unique because of their intrinsic values, my Azeroth Sword is unique because of me. It is my abilities in magic that elevate the blade.

My Azeroth Sword has a capacity of ten jewels, each of with I can fill with different magic powers and energies. It increases my power, range, and abilities 100 fold.

So, I can use it to destroy any enemy or cure any illness. Unlike your blades, mine is not only for destruction, but healing.

...

...

Saber: Casca?

Casca: Oh, mine is just a sword. Finely crafted to be sure, but nothing beyond that. You see, I am the sword. I am the sword of Guts as he blazes his path to his dream. Just as a sword in his hand, where he wields me, I will go, fearlessly, selflessly, to use all my skill to advance his cause.

...

...

Saber: So it's just a sword??

Casca: *sigh*

A member of The Order Of The Four Red Dragons is surrounded by a couple of axe wielding gangsters from the infamous Axe Gang after he made a entrance in one of their many warehouses during the Second Sino-Japanese War.

The title of this photograpgh is based on a music piece called ''Ambush from ten sides, it's a clasical piece written for the Pipa instrument. it's about the circumstances of which General Xiang Yu in 202 BC was defeated by Liu Bang. It's considerd to be a masterpiece in Chinese classical music and only the most skilled can play this piece. A version of this classical piece was used in the movie ''Kung Fu Hustle'' Where the Axe gang that appears in most of my brickfilms were based on.

A short introduction. The Axe gang is a triad (Chinese Maffia) located in China in a time of social unrest and disorder (Mostly in the 1930s but they still operate in modern times) They were one of the largest and most notorious of all triads and they were active in almost every major city in China and outside of it. Those branches were under control of the ''Brothers'' the head of the Axe Gang was called; ''The Dragon Head''. The Axe Gang became this large by converting smaller gangs into their ranks by either killing their Dragon Heads our bribing them.

One of their actions were figthing agianst the Japanese during the Second Sino-Japanese War, because the Japanese supressed Gang activity harder than the nationalist goverment, while some of the triads worked along side the Japanese. The Axe gang helped the Chinese Army in exchange of that they were left alone and continue their gang activities without any trouble. The Chinese army needed man with skills and weapons and cash.

Even the Japanese military feared the Axe Gang once their name was dropped in a conversation. Their brutality earned them a reputation that some people believed that they were even more ruthless than the Chinese nationalist army and the Japanese Imperial Army combined.

They broke their ties with the goverment when the Civil War started since the goverment had other worries than supressing gang activity.

About the Order Of The Four Red Dragons is a entire lore written, wich can be found here:

I like how this picture turned out because of how the lone assasin didn't reveal hit face and is ready to fight, while surrounded by the Axe Gang.

But then agian the title is really about how you see the picture. Is the Assassin going to be ambushed or is the Axe Gang?

Awhagaro is an ancient legendary warrior who has been protecting his homeland for centuries. He wields the elements of lightning, air and ice.

Awhagaro only appears when the island is in great danger and no one has ever seen him in peaceful time, so it’s still unknown if he actually exists or is just a legend made up by the island’s inhabitants to intimidate the ones who wish to invade the island. His origins are unknown as well, but some say that Awhagaro is a kaita comprised of a Toa of lightning, a Toa of air and a Toa of ice who somehow got stuck in the combined form, which explains his ability to wield three elements at once and his extraordinarily long lifespan.

Jason used a spell to teleport into the halls of Zatanna’s apartment building before immediately bursting into the room. Zatanna was sitting on a couch, novel in one hand and cup of tea in the other. The novel she was wielding read “H is for Hawk” across the cover. In reaction to Jason’s sudden appearance, she dropped the teacup entirely, spilling it onto herself and the novel, the cup nearly shattering when it hit the floor, just barely saved by a carpet.

Zatanna: Jesus, don’t you knock?!

She yelled in shock while jolting into an upward stance, leaving the novel on the couch and running to get a towel to wipe herself off. Now standing, Jason took note of her appearance. Hoodie, reading glasses, pyjama pants. Not what he would’ve expected from the one time he had seen her, where she donned classic magician attire.

Jason: My apologies, I didn’t mean to startle you, but this is an emergency.

Zatanna: You made that abundantly clear. What is it?

Jason: A beast has entered San Francisco.

She paused for a moment, caught up in wiping the coffee from her lenses.

Zatanna: Uh huh… “Beast”… This sounds like superhero work, I told you I quit, didn’t I?

Jason: Well, yes, but I don’t have many options. Please, just come back this one time, I need your help, the world depends on it. Ghålli-shï.

Jason put his hand out towards Zatanna while chanting the spell, the stains on her clothing disappearing. He said it again once he put his hand towards the area of the couch, which caused the carpet, couch, and novel to be cleaned in an instant. He then chanted another spell, which caused the teacup to be placed onto a nearby table, suddenly refilled.

Zatanna: Thank you, but I’m not coming back.

She left her glasses in the kitchen where she had gotten the towel and continued to speak before walking towards the table, grabbing her tea and leaning against a wall.

Zatanna: Why can’t you just get Superman?

Jason: I needed somebody with magical abilities, which you’ve proven you have. I need you to memorize a spell to send him into the underworld, on the off chance I’m restrained or have something else holding me back from chanting it myself.

Zatanna: “Off chance”? “I need you for the 10% chance something goes wrong” and “the world depends on you” don’t really have the same meaning.

Jason: Okay, maybe “off chance” was a poor choice of words. His name’s Klarion. A monster in the body of a child… he needs to be stopped, and I can’t do it alone.

Zatanna: Hm… Right off the top of my head, I can think of a lot of guys who are qualified. While yes, I’m the best of the best and I see why you came to me, I’m not available. End of story.

Jason: But you’re here, are you not? We need to get to work as soon as possible, who knows what he has planned.

Zatanna: Hard pass.

Jason: Look…

Jason pulled a handkerchief from his coat and wiped his forehead.

Jason: …If you don’t help me, this apartment won’t exist by the time I get close to him. We’re wasting time having this conversation, for all I know he’s already set half the country ablaze.

Suddenly, Jason heard a sound from behind him. The sound of a cat’s meow. Jason turned around to face the feline, eyes widening.

Zatanna: …That isn’t him, is it?

~Madam Web

Quay didn't think that mere days after he ¨successfully¨ completed his latest job, reconnected with an old friend from his past, and even got a Lightsaber from a Jedi he met, he would be running through the depths of Coruscant being chased by the Empire. As a child, the parents of Quay used to tell him stories about what lies in the depths of the planet. Back then, he didn't believe them, but now he is starting to think that there was some truth in their stories. While the top of the planet was filled with skyscrapers, the lower you would go inside the planet the more dirty and crime-invested it would become. Even right after the death of his parents, when he had to find a new home in the lower levels of the planet, he never went much further down than level 1500. He didn't know at what exact level he was at that moment; During his chase by the Empire he didn't feel the need to pay attention to where he was at that moment. He could say for certain that he was already below level 1313; He had paid a short visit to that exact level once in his life, and not for good reasons. A quick look around already gave away that it was much more polluted and crime-invested than the already poor living conditions of that level.

The chase started about an hour ago. Quay had packed his stuff so he would be able to leave right when he got his credits, and while waiting for that to happen he was talking with Terras Gratt, the friendly owner of the cantina that was located right below the apartment Quay stayed at for a few days. Suddenly, a few Stormtroopers made their way through the lots of people who were trying to enjoy a drink there. Since at this exact place a few days ago dozens of troopers died, they were investigating this place to see if there was anything of interest here. They explained to him, not knowing that he was there that night, that apparently a couple of people wielding Lightsabers and using the Force caused chaos at this location. The troopers showed Gratt a recording of the night it happened, and Quay was noticeably present in these recordings. Luckily, the footage of when Quay used a Lightsaber was apparently lost, which could have gotten him in way more trouble than he already had. Although Gratt denied knowing anything about who was behind the attack for the sake of keeping Quay out of the trouble, the troopers quickly noticed the similarities between the person on the recording and the person enjoying a drink right next to them. They pointed their weapons at Quay and demanded that he would surrender himself, but miraculously a customer bumped into the two, creating some minor mayhem. Quay took advantage of the confusion by quickly sprinting out of the cantina, and making sure he would be well ahead of the troopers by the time they would come out of there.

Out of options, Quay grabbed the old and rusty speeder that had been standing outside the cantina, and tried to use that to escape. At first, it seemed like the speeder did not work anymore, but after a few tries he miraculously made it work again. Just as the Stormtroopers made it out of the cantina, Quay raced away on the speeder. His luck didn't last long; Shortly after he made it away from the cantina, a Republic Police Gunship, that were now being used by the Empire, started to give chase. Quay managed to dodge most of the blaster fire from the ship, but one of the blaster bolts hit the speeder pretty badly. Although it wouldn't be a direct problem, he could not keep on driving with this thing if he wanted to stay alive. He did see a possible way to make it out in one piece right in front of him; a big Underworld Portal, leading right into the core of the planet. He made the speeder go as fast as possible, and he raced into the gateway. Despite this manoeuvre, the Gunship did not give up its chase. Since the engine of the speeder kept having more trouble keeping it up and running with each second, Quay tried to turn the engine off for a short period of time, which meant he would be making a freefall during his descent into the planet. Although he hated the feeling of falling for a long period of time, he had no other considerable choice. But if he was right, if he would turn the engine on again when he neared an approachable landing spot, he would be able to land without dying due to the big fall. After falling for a short while and having dropped thousands of levels below the surface of the planet, Quay finally saw an approachable landing spot; An landing pad, on which an Republic Gunship could easily fit, was located right below him. Only having a short time to turn the engine back on, he immediately tried to do that, but the engine did not get running again. Quay had to think of something fast; dying due to the impact of a big fall was not the way he would like to pass away. He desperately tried to get the engine up and running again, and at the last moment the engine started again, slowing the speeder down just enough to survive the landing. Unfortunately, this didn't mean that Quay would survive the crash without any injuries; The speeder crashed down on the landing pad with still quite some speed, and Quay got launched off the vehicle when it landed and hit the ground of the landing pad with full force. While the completely wrecked speeder rolled over the edge, Quay managed to hit a wall, preventing a similar fate. He felt blood flowing out of his nose and noticed that some of his bones had definitely broken, but it was not anything that would require immediate medical attention. For now, he had survived it, but the Empire did not give up its chase. The police ship stopped at the edge of the landing pad, and at least half a dozen Stormtroopers jumped out of the ship. Quay forced himself to stand up although he felt pain in his body everywhere, and made a run for it once again.

After finally finding a safe spot to rest out for a short while, Quay sitted down and stopped to take a look at how badly he got hurt from the crash. He found a shard of reflective glass he could use to take a look at his face. He immediately noticed the black eye he got, and a flow of dried blood below his nose. He rolled up the sleeves of his jacket, and saw that at least some of the bones had visibly broken. He could say with certainty that he would not die from these injuries, at least not before the Empire would get their hands on him. He took a small Stimpak out of his pockets, and injected himself with some painkillers. Those would keep Quay fit enough to hopefully escape this planet and find some medical help. He stood up again, and took a look out of the window to see if there was any immediate danger in his surroundings. The area he was in was abandoned with the exception of a homeless person sitting by a fireplace made out of an astromech droid on the street. He didn't hear any Stormtroopers or Imperials screaming orders at each other either, so he assumed he would be safe for another while. He turned around, and took his Lightsaber out of his pocket to take a quick look at it. Quay ignited the saber, and took a moment to admire the beauty of the purple saber. The hilt of the Lightsaber was carefully designed by Quay, and it featured removable plating made from Neuranium metals. The saber featured parts of the Lightsaber Shaella Xalrich, a Jedi he met days ago used to own, as well as parts of the Lightsaber her master owned. He brought some metals from a local scrap dealer, and also found some other materials he could use on a scrapyard not far from the place Quay stayed at for a while. Just like any other Lightsaber, Quay had spent hours customizing it to his liking. Since him carrying around an object that was obviously a Lightsaber could get him arrested, he made sure that he could make it look like a normal mechanical object instead of a Lightsaber within seconds, and vice versa.

Quay was quickly reminded of the situation he was in when some people on the street screamed out loud and begged for mercy. He took a look out of the window, and saw an Imperial officer together with an Stormtrooper and another Imperialist assaulting the homeless person on the street below him. The officer kicked the homeless person on the ground, and pointed his blaster at his face. Quay tried to hear what the officer was saying, but the officer pulled a small speaker out of his uniform before he said anything.

"Quay Sta'nn.'' The officer said, with a voice Quay vaguely recognized. ''You are currently wanted for aiding Red Hand criminals in their raid on the Data Vault on this planet, and with that also assisted an Force User in her escape off this planet. We know you are near this location, so if you don't give yourself up within 5 minutes, I will execute this person and maybe even some more. Trying to escape will be useless; I have brought an Inquisitor with me, who is ready to catch you within minutes if you try to escape.''

Quay quickly put his Lightsaber in his jacket, and went over all of the options he had. Quay had heard rumors of the Inquisitors, Dark-Side users made specifically to hunt down Jedi, but he never thought those were real. Quay could try to make it a shootout, but he assumed that as soon as he did that reinforcements would arrive. Despite that. he was not willing to give himself up without a fight, so he estimated that trying to run away would be his best option. Even though the officer said trying to escape was useless, all of the other options he had were cowardly or downright stupid to attempt. Quay stood up, and prepared himself for a long run from the Empire once more. He walked towards the ladder he used to enter the place he had rested at for a short while, and as soon as he stood on the roof he started to run. As he passed a G0NK droid and a homeless person on the roof, he saw a thin, metal bridge he could use for his escape. Although it did not look sturdy at all, and it was located right above the street the officer was at, he did not see any other option to run to. He jumped on the bridge, but just as he was halfway across and got spotted by one of the Imperials, the walkway collapsed. Quay tried to make it to the other side, but he made a great fall to the ground before he could do so. He landed on the hard ground of the street, and an unnerving sound implied that his leg had broken due to the fall. Despite this, Quay still managed to take a run away from the Imperials, and even managed to hit the Stormtrooper with his blaster. He felt that the odds of survival were very low for him, especially now that his broken leg made it impossible to properly run anymore. He still tried to stay ahead of the Imperials. After another short while, Quay got the impression that despite his broken leg he managed to outrun the Imperials once more. He limped into a dark alleyway, and tried to catch his breath. He thought he was safe for a second, but the sudden sound of metal boots walking towards him and the dark alleyway abruptly being lightened up by a red light said otherwise.

''Going somewhere, Quay?'' The Inquisitor said. She wielded a red Lightsaber, wore an all-black outfit with red accents, and her voice was distorted by a voice scrambler, presumably built into her helmet. Quay gathered the last of his remaining energy to escape, but it was of no use. As soon as he turned around and ran a couple of meters away, Quay was suddenly unable to move any further. As the Inquisitor slowly walked towards him while saying something into her comm system, Quay remembered something the Jedi he met a couple of days told him about. While she was telling him about Force abilities, she mentioned an ability certain Jedi could use that could temporarily leave their opponents immobile for seconds, and sometimes even minutes. By the time he was able to move again, he was surrounded by Stormtroopers and the one officer who was threatening to execute an homeless person minutes before. Although he wanted to resist his arrest, he simply did not have any energy left to really do anything. Quay was given an electric shock, handcuffed, and dragged into an Imperial prison ship since he could barely stand on his own legs anymore. He was thrown into a holding cell on the ship, and passed out as soon as he hit the hard, metal floor.

Quite some time later, Quay was woken up by the ship heavily shaking. As he slowly regained consciousness, his hands went over his jacket to feel if he still had his Lightsaber. He sighed with relief when he felt the metal object sitting safely in his pocket, and was surprised that the Empire did not search him in any way yet. Quay tried to stand up, but quickly realised that the chase through the depths of Coruscant took a heavy toll on him. His whole body hurted like hell, he had a massive headache, and he was barely able to properly move. Quay took a look around his cell and outside of the cell, and the first thing he noticed were the excessive amount of Stormtroopers walking around the fairly small ship. He estimated that there were about 60 cells on the ship, all holding one or two prisoners. Every prisoner who tried to scream for help was quickly electrocuted to make them shut up. Seeing Quay's bad shape, he decided that doing that would most likely kill him. As he did his best to sit up, he suddenly noticed someone familiar walking by his cell. Although he almost didn't recognize him due to him wearing an Imperial uniform, Tyree Somer, an old friend who he last saw after they completed a job on Vandor together, was walking through the halls of the prison. Quay tapped on the metal floor to get his attention, and Tyree soon noticed his old friend laying on the floor of the prison cell. Like Quay, he was surprised to find an old friend in a place like this.

''Quay? What are you doing here?'' Tyree asked him.

''I could ask the same to you. Why are you wearing that Imperial uniform?'' Quay said.

''Kind of a long story. After that job on Vandor, I crashed on a nearby planet after we found ourselves a couple of working starfighters. Without credits or food, I did not have any other option except to join the Empire. I've been here for some time now. And how did you get here?''

''Not too difficult to explain. The empire wasn't too happy that I aided in the vault raid on Coruscant a couple of days ago. Long story short; They chased me through the depths of the planet for about an hour, leading in me breaking a lot of bones in my body, being unable to stand on my own, and ending up here.''

While the two were having a chat, two Stormtroopers walked towards them.

''Out of the way. The Admiral wants to see Prisoner 0701.'' one of them said.

''What a coincidence; i was just about to transport him to the Admiral!'' Tyree said nervously. ''I got a message on the comm system they wanted him to room 2006, right? I'm able to take him there on my own.''

''No, no, we got orders from the Admiral himself to take him there. Out of the way, now.''

''Quay, I am so very sorry for this. I'll make sure to be there when you reach room 2006, since it always takes a while before someone can enter there.'' Tyree whispered.

Quay nodded, while the two Stormtroopers unlocked the prison door and dragged him to stand up. After a short walk, they made it to room 2006. As promised, Tyree was there waiting for him. The Strormtroopers put Quay on a seat, and after that they walked away.

''Hey, what is this room made for, if i may ask?'' Quay said.

''Its...its a torture chamber.'' Tyree stuttered. ''Made specifically to question people. I've never been inside that room myself, but people have told me that they use Inquisitors to extract information, in combination with torture droids and other devices that can give somebody a lot of pain.''

Quay suddenly remembered that he was still holding his Lightsaber in his pocket. Since Lightsabers were now outlawed by the Empire, chances are high he would be executed on the spot if they would find it. One of the only persons he trusted enough to keep it safe for him for a while, was Tyree. He did decide to not tell him what it actually was, to prevent him from accidentally telling others about it.

''Hey Tyree, can i ask you a favor? I still have a piece of equipment in my pockets, would you mind keeping it safe for a while?''

''Sure, if that makes you happy then i'll do that.''

Quay struggled to get the Lightsaber out of his pockets due to him still wearing handcuffs, but he still managed to do it.

''Here. Please be careful with it, it's an explosive. So whatever you do, don't press the button. If the Imperials catch me with that in my pockets, i am dead for sure.''

Although Tyree was hesitant to keep the item for a while, he agreed to look after it for some time. Just as he put the item in his pocket, the door of room 2006 opened. A couple of Stormtroopers dragged an unconscious person out of the room, and Quay quickly noticed the red glove the person was wearing. There was no doubt about it; at least some Red Hand members, a crime syndicate located on Coruscant who had hired him for his most recent job, were kept at this prison. Two Stormtroopers stepped out of the door, and dragged him into the room. To his surprise, Quay did not see the Inquisitor in the room. Only an interrogation chair, some medical supplies, and the same officer that was hunting him on Coruscant was standing in the room as well. The Stormtroopers put Quay in the chair, tightened the restraints on the armrests, and hooked him up to some medical device. The officer walked towards Quay, and began to talk.

''Quay Sta'nn. Son of a few politicians, lost them both at the age of 19, forced to live as a smuggler after that... downright tragic. I can remember that it was briefly mentioned over the news on Coruscant back when they were assassinated. The brutal murder of some politicians, and their son going missing shortly after. But that is not important for today. As you may have heard, the Empire is currently busy with taking down the Confederate Remnant in the Raxus system. Now, we thought you might be interested to join us to take them down? You might not make it out alive, but that is a sacrifice we are willing to make.''

''Never.'' Quay said, his anger could be clearly heard in his voice.

''We were expecting this reaction.'' the officer said. He activated his comm system, and although Quay could not clearly hear what he was saying he could make out the words ''Bring in the droid.'' A couple of moments after the officer said this, the door of the interrogation room opened. A small, round droid hovered into the room, and Quay immediately knew what that was. An IT-O Interrogation droid, specifically designed to torture people to get information from them. Although Quay had heard many rumors about it, he had never seen one in real life. As the droid came closer and closer towards him, the officer spoke again.

''Last chance. Accept the deal, or I will use this droid against you.'' He said.

''My answer is still the same. No.'' Quay replied.

''Alright then. Let the droid do its job.'' The officer said.

Quay could barely remember the next dozen minutes clearly due to the pain the droid was causing. The pain was unbearable, and he was sure that it could even kill him if it continued for longer. After what seemed to be an eternity, the droid finally stopped.

''Well, Quay, i can imagine that was not a pleasant experience.'' the officer said. ''No worries, we are not planning to kill you, for now at least. I can closely monitor your body functions, and it seems that if i order this wonderful droid to repeat the process you experienced moments ago you won't make it out alive. Seems like the chase on Coruscant really broke you down. So, what will it be now? Accept the deal, or pass away right here in this room?''

Quay was barely able to talk anymore. Everything in his body hurted like he had been shot with tasers thousands of times, and he felt like he was about to pass out due to the pain. Although he was fully aware of the consequences he would suffer if he accepted the deal, he was not ready to die here, at the hands of a droid. With a lot of trouble, he spoke out the exact words the officer wanted to hear.

''Fine. I accept the damn deal.'' He said.

The officer turned his head towards Quay, with a big smile forming on his face.

''Excellent. The exact details of the attack will be revealed shortly before the assault will begin. In the meantime, you will have to stay in your cell.'' The officer replied, before ordering some Stormtroopers to take him away.

Quay was back in his cell, reliving the experience in his head over and over. He felt sick that he actually accepted a deal like this from the Empire, but what else was he supposed to do? He was at the brink of death, and there was no other option he had that would have led to him making it out alive. With all the injuries he had, Quay realised that he had little to no chance at surviving the assault as well. All he could do was hope for the best.

Well, this took way more time than i'd like to admit. I hope you all enjoy it!

So I have been building again. This one was quite a stress-free build, inspired by my other recent dragon, Dragon Unit LL-32167. I was struck by a moment of inspiration about a month ago and realized that I have a yellow 24-toothed gear that would work perfectly in the dragon's neck. The thought process continued with the idea that if I build a dragon using no light gray and (almost) no blue, I could keep the previous one assembled for a longer time. This means that everyone visiting my tiny local LEGO shows/conventions may have a chance at seeing the two mecha dragons side-by-side. I name this awesome construction worker mecha dragon Workhorse.

Speaking of side-by-side, I guess it makes sense to compare the two dragons. They could be called "sister models", as LL-32167 served as the primary inspiration not only thematically, but also quite technically. Note the (less visible, black) leg assembly follows the same pattern of using multiple worm gears as shock absorbers. The head construction is quite similar (I would say the LL-32167 build was simpler and possibly better, but this one has a FREAKING CRANE HOOK COMING OUT OF ITS MOUTH). The main difference is the torso, which is not quite as sturdy as my older mecha dragon. This makes the wing and leg connections weaker, but more poseable and possibly less awkward. I could have used this to my advantage to create an asymetric pose. But I did not. The wings are a simple build in Workhorse (the build of this article), but I think a construction yard fence used as wings is exactly what a robot worker dragon's wings should be. There are more differences and similarities between the two of course, but I will let you explore them on your own. The major difference is the concept. I think Workhorse is quite a unique idea and that is its main quality.

I guess we can move on to to Workhorse as a standalone build. I do not often buy individual parts on Bricklink with a particular creation in mind, but the red 10x10 nets were totally worth it. They are just much smaller than I imagined, so I bought only six. That is why the wings are kind of small. Despite their low weight, they were hard to stabilize and I had to use some ball joints to hold them up. This change of plans (from simple clip-bar connections) made the back a bit more complicated than I would want, as well as less stable and uglier. The part which I am most satisfied with is the tail. I admit I have no idea what an excavator arm looks like, but it kind of resembles this tail, I think. I am also very pleased with the arms (that wrecking ball is a variation on an old sphere technique) and the upper legs, notably the boxy armour over the knees. The green shoulder was quite necessary to break up the monotony. I have tried using printed tiles in its place, both in yellow and white, but the clean green solution turned out the best. This is my 25th LEGO dragon by my count (so ignoring a bad and possibly never uploaded Bionicle dragon).

I will end the article with a few thoughts on photography. I hope the pictures turned out better, as I have borrowed a better camera for them, took them in diffuse sunlight and got some second opinions on the post-processing. I thought the little side decorations like crates (they can be picked up by the crane going from the dragon's mouth!) and the bricks with a road sign that I admit makes absolutely no sense. The reflection was achieved with a glass aquarium cover that I probably cleaned more than I needed to, and the edge was blurred out with a new tool I discovered in Paint.net.

I hope you enjoyed my ridiculous and kind of cool creation. I think it is a unique idea, but if you find any previous examples of this pointlessly specific theme mashup, I would be very happy if you link it in the comments. You would be surprised how many Classic Space dragons LL-32167 brought to my attention!

"I am truths wielder and I cast Judgment on all..."

This MOC is one I've been planning since I saw those new white cloth pieces. The concept of this build comes from classic depictions of the figure justice in courtrooms.

Ever since the announcement of the Monkie Kid theme, I have been looking for all the cool characters who appeared in the books translated in their LEGO form, and 5 years later I feel like there is still at least 5 more seasons of content to introduce all of them!

Inspired by the theme's style, I decided to make a mech for a celestial character from the original novel Journey to The West. This is Virudhaka, or 增长天王. In the novel and its many modern adaptations, he appears with his three other brothers, forming a group named The Four Heavenly Kings. Each of the four kings wield a unique weapon and Virudhaka holds a sword.

This is how Jackie described my birthday today!! I love that kid!!

In gamer parlance: "When a player of a video game has earned enough experience points (EXP) to acquire a new level in a skill or skills. Often, this is accompanied by the ability to wield new weaponry, access new places, to gain new abilities ... or to increase the capabilities of a character."

I'm thinking this leveling up experience has something going for it ... especially the new weaponry part!! So ... if ya got something to say about growing old … or about turning 50 … put it in a note, put in the tags … I think I need some laughs today my Flickr Peeps!

I saved this particular photo (taken by Rachel) for today … because I hope I'll be able to "leap & frolic" my way through the next decade ... exactly like this!!!

*Cinema of Korea: Secretly, Greatly (Korean: 은밀하게 위대하게)

Secretly, Greatly (Hangul: 은밀하게 위대하게; RR: Eunmilhage Widaehage) is an upcoming South Korean comedy/drama film starring Kim Soo-hyun, Park Ki-woong, Lee Hyun-woo and Son Hyun-joo. It is based on the 2010 spy webtoon series Covertness by Hun, which has received over 40 million page hits.

Plot

A group of spies called the 5446 Corps were trained by North Korean elite special forces since their youth, ostensibly towards the lofty goal of unifying Korea. They are ambitiously dispatched to South Korea, where each disguises himself as a fool, an aspiring singer, and a high school student. Passing boring time without receiving any orders from the North, they gradually get used to life as ordinary neighbors in a small town until one day, their mundane lives are turned upside down when a "secret and great" mission is suddenly assigned to them. Due to the events of the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong, South Korea demands the names, location, and rank of 30 North Korean spies active in South Korea, promising financial aid to the North on the condition that Pyongyang turns in their spies. To prevent the elites from falling into enemy hands, the North Korean government orders dozens of active duty spies to take their own lives. Meanwhile their North Korean army instructor Kim Tae-won crosses the border to eliminate those who refuse to follow.

* 'Secretly' success shows teen power at box office

Filmmakers mostly tailor their products and marketing efforts to moviegoers in their 30s and 40s, who are considered the main sources of consumption in cultural products.

However, the massive success of “Secretly Greatly,” an action-comedy starring heartthrob Kim Soo-hyun, raises the question whether the industry has been underestimated the economic power tied to teenagers in non-children’s movies. While they might not often spend their own money to buy the tickets, they do have the talent to nag their parents until they do so.

“Secretly” is already one of the most successful works in a boom year for Korean films, topping the box office since its release last Wednesday and setting new audience records for the opening week.

The movie sold nearly half a million tickets on its first day and exceeded 3.4 million in just five days, representing a faster pace than any other Korean movie. The audience at theaters seems to be predominantly teenage girls and their parents.

According to a survey conducted by online ticket seller Max Movie, 45 percent of the over-30 customers who bought tickets for “Secretly” online said they are going because of their children. And more than 80 percent of them said their children were daughters. Many parents were also buying the tickets for their daughters but had no intention of sitting through “Secretly” with them. For most online purchases, it was the father who was typing in his credit card numbers.

To put it simply, the commercial power of “Secretly” relies on “daddy’s girls” and their affection for Kim, a baby-faced television star who appears ubiquitously in television commercials and print advertisements.

“What can be seen from the survey is that young girls wield power as consumers with their ability to persuade their fathers to spend. This seems to be especially the case with Secretly because of the appearance of Kim Soo-hyun,” said Kim Hyung-ho, an official at Max Movie.

“Secretly” is currently topping the charts on Internet portal Naver and Max Movie with 66 percent and 62 percent reservation rates, respectively.

The movie’s success defies critics, whose reviews were underwhelming. According to Naver, half of the country’s movie critics and journalists publishing on mainstream media outlets gave the movie low ratings. Predictably, the audience was much more forgiving, giving the movie 8 points out of 10.

The movie is about three North Korean spies who are dispatched to Korea on a mission to disguise themselves as a fool, a rock star wannabe and a high school student to monitor South Koreans and even their colleagues.

The three main male actors in the movie (Kim Soo-hyun, Park Ki-woong and Lee Hyun-woo) are all young, handsome with hunky physiques that may have made it worth watching for young female viewers, despite a few gruesome and violent fight scenes.

Title dedication: Nick Cave

Urismod "Hullcrusher" is the Gazuman Commander in charge of the defence of the Island Ottogar. He is a brilliant tactician and a fierce warrior, wielding his two hammers. He formerly commanded the Eastern Tower of the Frost Gate (the passage to the North), but had to retreat when his forces were overrun by that of Willem Guant III in 169AV. Upon his return to Ottogar, he was tasked with halting any more northern advancements by the forces of Men. This would prove to be a great challenge as the coasts of the island and practically the whole of the Grey Channel were once patrolled by the vast Gazuman Navy. This Navy was diminished by years of war, so Urismod had to be creative.

For years, he worked with the greatest minds in the Kingdom and finally he invented a modest version of a mine. Immediately, he littered the waters between the island and mainland with the bombs and they quickly saw results. Invasion forces were turned back before even landing on shore. This success bore another problem, The Gazuman could no longer leave their island without the fear of shipwreck at the hands of this great invention. Urismod then developed high-powered magnets that would be fixed to the bombs and the hulls of their ships that would repel one another. He then developed a projectile that could pierce enemy ships and explode in their hulls. During his testing of these weapons, Urismod sustained a serious head injury, when a bomb prematurely exploded. The only ill effects of this injury is that his love of fire increased tenfold. To the happiness of the Gazuman, these scientific developments, no one has landed on Ottogar uninvited for nearly 500 years.

They do however ferry guests to their island for feasts and other events. The Blythes of Thunderhall have been frequent guests of the island since the death of Willem Guant VIII in 382AV. It was at the end of the Guant dynasty and the beginning of House Fielder's rule that peace was restored between Dwarves and Men. At present, the Gazuman military is small, and any request for their aid on the mainland is always denied, though they are happy to keep up trade.

"I grew up ignored. My teenage years spent training.

My father; a mortal man, was a power hungry baron. Bent on extending his borders and mustering troops. I wanted nothing to do with it. I had spent my whole life training and wallowing in my misery, trying to be someone of worth. So I left.

I simply gathered some essential gear, a short sword I stole from my fathers study and a sufficient amount of money, and left. I didn't know were I would go, what I was to become. But I did it.

I got on the first ship I could find and headed for unknown lands.

After months of sailing I landed in Roawia.

I traveled around Roawia for some time, before long my money and fighting skills granted me three companions;

Melethril Amanya; a half-elf, Gorek Broadarm and a man know only as Hathorn.

And from there my true story began..."

Well how do you guys like my first ever scene?

I'm pretty darn happy with it :D

Anyway I really need to stop getting bored of my old LCC character and making new ones :P

But I have a good plan in mind for this guys story so hopefully I wont lose interest XD

Anyway please tell me what you think I feel like my views and comments have lessened of late.

Thanks to all the Fellowship Of the Brick members for the WIP comments :D

If the thought of senior citizens wielding medieval weapons on a rocking ship is your idea of fun then a cruise just might be the thing for you!

Time is running short on Fantasy Faire 2021, but there are still so many things to find, so many sights to see!

I get to show you a few treasures here that I picked up at the Faire. One, I confess, is not available if you don't already have it: the dark skin I'm wearing is the Hel Draugr skin from Fallen Gods. It's a special edition, available only for Alia Baroque's Jail-and-Bail fundraiser last Friday evening.

It made the perfect match to the sleek Valkyrie Spirit bodysuit from *Lurve*. Lurve's Faire store in Khol Dracys has a number of lovelies for you, and Valkyrie Spirit is definitely my favourite. It includes the unrigged helm and bracers, and both of these have just wonderful materials. The specular reflection is just PERFECT -- I look like I'm wearing real steel on my forearms and head.

I added a few other bits that are a little harder to see. GERMINAL has some lovely tattoos at the Faire, and you might be able to catch a glimpse of the Lamia foot tattoo on my calves. It's a lovely black swirly bit, and seemed to fit well on my Valkyrie -- a nice subtle bit against the darker limbs of Alia's draugr skin. I also included the Corrupted eyes from A.D.D. Andel. I have a feeling I'll be adding these eyes to some of my other exotic skin outfits!

My wings are from Bare Rose, who does not have a booth at the faire, but I wanted to point these out because they're my favourite bento angel/feathered wings. I have them in white, but they're modify, so you can go in and adjust colour and specularity. So making some steel-grey metallic wings is easy. I've been able to match them to a whole bunch of different outfits.

One last quick word. These marvelous poses are all from Poseidon Poses -- appropriately enough, the Valkyrie series. They're amazing and perfect. Poseidon Poses is my go-to for action poses! You should totally stop by their Faire store in Valhalla.

There's still a few more things to come from the Faire. Please stop by, spend an hour or two or ten... and help support Relay for Life's fight against Cancer.

We can hold back the Unweaver!

Aloha! A hui hou kākou!

As far as I know, this is the first time that a plastic toy has been reverse engineered into a playable weapon in an FPS, while at the same time, the playable weapons in the FPS are available as Lego-scale weapons. Almost mind blowing, eh?

These are longer, taller versions of the PeteFrame. This guy wields the same M16 as the type auctioned off. It took a while to find enough white pieces. But I was hell bent on keeping it mostly white.

Zima may be a good name for this suit. I couldn't think of an OH company with a white bottle. So Zima is good enough, even though it's a clear bottle. At least the riot shield is clear. Note* Kids- alcohol is bad. I never touch the stuff. I just use the names for allusions. ^_^'

This is the first set of macro pictures taken with my new Nikon D5000, my first DSLR. So far I love it. Stubborn Bulls (Empire Knights-Greatswords) are an Empire Elector Count State Troops cavalry unit from Ostland. Fortunately, Ostland's dank forest-clothed terrain produces elite warriors able to withstand the continual Ruinous incursions threatening the province.

The Ostland Black Guard are a very well-known regiment. They have campaigned for many different electors, and their reputation has spread beyond their native state.

As it is extremely difficult to use a greatsword properly, the Ostland Black Guard must spend many hours training. In fact, they train every day on which they are not on campaign, sparring to improve their skills.

In battle, the Black Guard stand somewhat farther away from each other than other units do. This is because of the fighting style associated with the greatsword. It is wielded in great arcing movements. Thus it is important that the members of the Ostland Black Guard do not get in the way of their comrades. It is said that this style of fighting harks back to warfare during the time of Sigmar, when more emphasis was put on individual heroics than unit fighting. In some cases, it can appear that, because of their formation, the Black Guard are a weaker spot in their army's lines. However, any enemy who attempts to attack them will be bloodily repulsed.

The Black Guard are also noted to be stubborn, grim, and devoted to Morr. In fact, before every battle, the unit is blessed by a priest of Morr.

The Ostland Black guard wield zweihander swords as tall as a man. They are decorated with the Bull's Head, the emblem of Ostland. They are also inscribed with holy texts meant to bolster a warrior's faith during battle.
