Time is running short on Fantasy Faire 2021, but there are still so many things to find, so many sights to see!
I get to show you a few treasures here that I picked up at the Faire. One, I confess, is not available if you don't already have it: the dark skin I'm wearing is the Hel Draugr skin from Fallen Gods. It's a special edition, available only for Alia Baroque's Jail-and-Bail fundraiser last Friday evening.
It made the perfect match to the sleek Valkyrie Spirit bodysuit from *Lurve*. Lurve's Faire store in Khol Dracys has a number of lovelies for you, and Valkyrie Spirit is definitely my favourite. It includes the unrigged helm and bracers, and both of these have just wonderful materials. The specular reflection is just PERFECT -- I look like I'm wearing real steel on my forearms and head.
I added a few other bits that are a little harder to see. GERMINAL has some lovely tattoos at the Faire, and you might be able to catch a glimpse of the Lamia foot tattoo on my calves. It's a lovely black swirly bit, and seemed to fit well on my Valkyrie -- a nice subtle bit against the darker limbs of Alia's draugr skin. I also included the Corrupted eyes from A.D.D. Andel. I have a feeling I'll be adding these eyes to some of my other exotic skin outfits!
My wings are from Bare Rose, who does not have a booth at the faire, but I wanted to point these out because they're my favourite bento angel/feathered wings. I have them in white, but they're modify, so you can go in and adjust colour and specularity. So making some steel-grey metallic wings is easy. I've been able to match them to a whole bunch of different outfits.
One last quick word. These marvelous poses are all from Poseidon Poses -- appropriately enough, the Valkyrie series. They're amazing and perfect. Poseidon Poses is my go-to for action poses! You should totally stop by their Faire store in Valhalla.

Awhagaro is an ancient legendary warrior who has been protecting his homeland for centuries. He wields the elements of lightning, air and ice.
Awhagaro only appears when the island is in great danger and no one has ever seen him in peaceful time, so it’s still unknown if he actually exists or is just a legend made up by the island’s inhabitants to intimidate the ones who wish to invade the island. His origins are unknown as well, but some say that Awhagaro is a kaita comprised of a Toa of lightning, a Toa of air and a Toa of ice who somehow got stuck in the combined form, which explains his ability to wield three elements at once and his extraordinarily long lifespan.

the a9 and 300PF are so so so amazingly light. The 1.4TCiii adds just a smidge of weight but is still so 'wieldable'.
It was refreshing to find this little dagger all stretched out, instead of curled into the typical "dagger pose" we know so well.

Automatic assault rifle wielded by the Nokirian troops in combat. It is equipped with two modes. One for rapid fire and the other for long range accuracy.
The rifle measures 122 studs long, has a reloadable clip, ammo counter, and foldable stock. It also has an iron sight on the barrel as well as a scope which is used for the long range mode.
A rare, physical-map- wielding tourist walks in front of a graffitied wall in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel island, the Azores. The artwork, found on Rua 6 de Junho, is one of the two pieces Portuguese artist Eime decorated the town with during the Walk&Talk urban art festival back in 2012.

If you were wondering who were the ones that wielded those formidable syringes in the 50s from the previous post - here they are. They're also part of the reconstructed local health care unit of the Groene Kruis (Green Cross), at the Nederlands Openlucht Museum.
The Green Cross was the second associations to improve public health in the Netherlands and was founded at the end of the 19th century. Doctors took the initiatives to set up local associations. The first one was the White cross. The associations were involved in district nursing, the organization of ambulance transport, tuberculosis control and the care of mother and child. The latter in the form of maternity nurses and consultancies.
The Green Cross building was realized in 1954 and deconstructed (partitioned in a number of large pieces) and reconstructed at the museum).
The roman catholic nurse/nun shown here is somewhat curious since the Groene Kruis was a non-denominational organization. In, at the time, pillarized (verzuild) Holland, there was a roman catholic local health association called the Wit/Gele Kruis. But maybe the nurse was a very early member of the depillarization movement ;-)

A little story....
For ten years I've been waiting to get to the Maroon Bells to take photos... last year our trip got cancelled due to a death in a coworkers family.. this year we got there after kidney stones and other vacation setbacks.. I set up my tripod, took this picture and WHAMMO... blizzard. (you can see some snow coming down in the bottom left of the shot... it went crazy seconds later.)
We tried waiting it out but the skies kept getting worse so we left for Denver, which took about 8.5 hours (5 hours longer than it should have...).
So, I'll be going back next year... locusts and plagues and swine flu be damned...
Super disappointing to say the least.. heavy, heavy sigh... no way to have anticipated snow 2 hours before autumn officially began, but still...

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

In Norse mythology, Thor is a hammer-wielding god associated with thunder, lightning, storms, strength, destruction, fertility, healing and the protection of mankind. Whomever began calling this wonderful abyss in the sea at Cape Perpetua Thor's Well is a genius, for a well is exactly what it looks like. The well is a challenge to photograph, as tide levels and swells need to be just right to do it justice. I will return again and again until I get it just right! Thanks to Nick, Karla and Riley for joining us here ~ it was a blast!!!
Keitara wields a staff capable of absorbing and utilizing elemental energy, as well as transforming between staff, scythe, and rifle forms (she swears the idea originated before RWBY). Certainly a challenge to build, but I'm happy with the solution I came up with.
This monument located on Mount Buzludzha is the biggest ideological building in Bulgaria. It was built as a tribute to the creation of the Bulgarian socialist movement in 1891.
The construction of Buzludzha was made possible thanks to government funds and supporters’ donations for an amount of around 14 186 000 leva (around 7 000 000 €). The site was built by civil engineering troops from the Bulgarian army and volunteers. The master builder was General Delcho Delchev who was in charge of the Stara Zagora civil engineering section. The author of this project was the architect Guéorguy Stoilov. Several famous painters and sculptors have participated to the decoration.
Ever since the superseding of Bulgarian president Todor Givkovand and the political changes that occurred in Bulgaria from 1989, the state of the monument has continued to decay. portraits of Ludmila and Todor Givkov have been destroyed. The copper adornments have been stolen. The building is slowly disintegrating; the monument is abandoned and no public institution seems to be concerned by the conservation of renovation of the building. The Bulgarian socialist party itself is not taking any action towards the maintenance of its most important symbol. The big star has been perforated by gunshots because it was thought to be made out of ruby!
On Bulgarian derps tour with Dursty, John, Andrew and Mike. Visited very little due to the harsh roads and long drives in two car convoy, busted by a pistol and axe wielding guard, picking up a hitchhiker, removing a hire car wing mirror with a bin, countless selfies, a stray dog and not forgetting an insect bite from hell that gave me a club hand.
But the main event was accessed twice and was the main objective for this trip so all was good.

Khalil Chishtree’s installation of ethereal life-sized figures offers an upbeat and humanitarian take on plastic pollution and our threatened ecosystem. Chishtree wields one of the most ordinary and ubiquitous materials of our era, the plastic bag, to explore both the material’s possibilities and connotations for the well-being of the human race. Realizing only one figure in its entirety, and leaving the others incomplete, Chishtree accentuates the importance of progress and change as we encounter the challenges of that plastic pollution has wrought on our land and oceans. We greet his figures holding hands in a circle facing towards us in an expression of mutual support and empathy. Composed entirely of white plastic garbage bags, their material denotes man’s responsibility to the environment, and the need to act together towards a cleaner ecosystem.

Here, an M9E - "Gernsback" readies the newest addition to the Mistarille Dawn's armory, the MX-36 "Galebreak" Compound Energy Bow. Capable of firing portable Laser Bolts, Impact Arrows or Single Shot Rockets, the Galebreak is a balanced weapon, allowing shots at artillery range or direct fire range depending on the ammunition selected.

Seeing her love among the slaves Aliah creates a massive feminine hand out of sand and scoops Djamilla up to carry her to safety. the corpses of the many slain goblin rise and merge together creating a pair of massive skeletal juggernauts. the clerics easily vanquishes one, but the other makes it's way to the rocky outcropping where Aliah had the hand place her love, the angel child was also on these rocks, but fled for his life at the first sign of danger leaving the defenseless lover of the geomancer warlock on her own. seeing this Aliah abandons the confrontation with her nemesis in favor of protecting the woman she loves, leaving her quarry to the cleric's magic weapon.
the huge statue the slaves were being made to pulls shattered and a monstrous scorpion beast emerged the rest of the party harried the arachnid man while aliah fought off the skeletal abomination on her own swinging her blade made of pure darkness and occasionally firing a cosmic blast at the scorpion, she gave her love enough time to get to safety the sandy hand still interposing itself between her and any danger. the cleric and warrior wearing the scorpion beast down while the infernal dagger flinger recovers from the effects of it's strange magic, eventually the rouge gets the final hit channeling all his rage into one attack psychically eviscerating the arachnid. the skeletal juggernaut crumbles at Aliah's feet, it's the source of it's necrotic life force being slain.
With all the danger defeated and comforting words given to the surviving slaves, Aliah rushes to Djamilla wrapping her in a loving embrace and a deep kiss before taking her hand and leading her to the impaled corpse of the man who caused all this suffering, the lesser warlock met a fitting end, Aliah wished she was the one to do it, but Djamilla's safety took priority. searching his body she recovers the silver sword she and Djamilla gave to the latter's father as a gift, a final keepsake of the great man murdered by a bandit as his greed...
Aliah traveled with the warrior woman and the infernal rouge, parting ways with the kind cleric and angelic child, they escorted the survivors to the nearest port city and left them in the care of the authorities. Aliah then took Djamilla home to Calimshan, back to their mansion and trading empire, they took the warrior and rouge with them to act as bodyguards and trusted friends as the two calishite women settle into a live of marital bliss. and eventually with the use of strange genie magic Aliah would give birth to Djamilla's children, twin boys they would name after their respective fathers. Karim and Ali. the two noble women, now covered in scars, both physical and mental finally enjoy some normalcy after two years of utter hell and suffering.
“Edens?”
“Hmm?”
“It’s been an hour already. You wanna call them in or no?”
“Let them have a break. I’ve got a couple more experiments to attend...contact me two days later, Mason. I don’t need the council on my trail all the time.”
“Alright...”
I close the hologram projectors after my conversation is done.
Couldn't stress how it's been 5 months since the attacks on our agency, and I couldn’t do anything about it much. But if North's defeat is something I'll share over and over, I'd be the first to do it. I know I’m trying to move on....even for my protege....but how? He’s been in such a progressive, anxious state. I don’t even know what to do with the cures. Only if an answer could solve my current troubles....
Then I hear sounds. Footsteps? Hmm, I hope it’s not my brain clanking. Wait, it totally isn’t. Is it? Prediction powers....that can’t be possible, can it?
Edens: “Dusksmoke? How did you get access here? I thought you were in Japan?”
Dusksmoke: “Remus....I barely escaped....they’re coming....they’re coming for me.....”
Edens: “Who? Who is coming? How’d you get here?”
Dusksmoke: “I......I don’t know....assailants here.....they....”
Dusksmoke passes out. I put him on the closest med bay, trying to analyze his wounds, infections or whatever happened to him.
It’s only a matter of time before he would wake up again.

Dusksmoke: “How did I get here.....oh....ugh.”
Edens: “What’s coming? Was Mason right....?”
Dusksmoke: “Mason? What’s with him?”
Edens: “Nothing major. Just his symptoms acting up again. I’m trying to work on a late night shift here for an experiment though....trying to fix his condition. But when you just popped in--at least try to answer my questions first or I can't help. Slowly. One at a time.”
Dusksmoke: “.....well, where should I even start.....I went on a quest to retrieve a red sword. To find a katana that would wield great power. I went off the shores...off the coast....enduring storms and seas. I found it with the best of my abilities, but until I returned.....I was robbed. The enemies were too powerful....I tried to escape with the sword, in order to return it to my guild.”
Edens: “I’m aware about it.”
Dusksmoke: “And I fear a war might be coming. If only I could prevent it....”
Edens: “Not when you’re in this state now. Come, slowly, I’ll give you an antidote. You've been out for hours. Wanna keep resting in the medical bay?”
Dusksmoke: “Just for a while....but I’m telling you, Doctor, they are coming. The guild and Yakuza....are going to fight over it. Moreover, I have been exiled because I’ve lost it.”
Edens: “Then they’ve shunned you? Kicked you out for that? You could just simply ask for a mission or do whatever your clan permits redemption in exchange for your punishment.”
Dusksmoke: “Not really, Doc. It doesn't exactly work like that this time because it's over the limitations. But I need your help. This plan will anger your superiors. It is unsanctioned....without authoritative control and oversight. Much to our neutrality and independence.”
Edens: “I could ask for a strike team to help....negotiation, whatever we can do for you at Paladin.”
Dusksmoke: “Not this time it’s not. Avalon Squad needs to be on duty. Immediately. This is on behalf of my orders. I'm working under someone who is the last beacon of hope.”
Edens: “I would do that, but I can’t go further against the board in these trying times under free will. Plus, they’re on vacation, I thought I gave Avalon a good break at least. I'm a workaholic, literally. I'll--"
Dusksmoke: “It’s time to tell the truth, Remus. They have to know. I have lots to fill in when everyone needs to be here.”
Edens: “I would love to but....in all seriousness I’m still not sure who you are, even if you’re an ally. Gardner and I may have trusted you, but still from a certain perspective, you're a third party outsider-”
Dusksmoke: “I don’t care....but the motive....is rallying the call right now to the gathering. Immediately without hesitation.....because my friends and family are important....and this, is when I actually need Paladin for a favour. Who I am is a big secret which might shock some of your own proteges. Will they be ready? Will you believe me?"
Edens: "Okay. I do. Whatever it is, you better...get it right."
As the Second Greco-Roman War dragged on, the resources at the NGRF's disposal continued to dwindle. This was accelerated by the URE's capture of the Macedonian construction yards, effectively cutting the Federation's manufacturing output in half. No longer able to produce Hastati IIs at an acceptable rate, they fell back on bolstering their forces with Decurions.
The Decurion began its development cycle as an early prototype for the Hastati. Based largely off of tech from the Gremlin, the original design was updated with modern armor and features to become the System we see today. Its performance falls short of the URE's Aardwolf III, but it makes up for that in sheer versatility. It specializes in ground combat but the B-type equipment adds a number of propellant tanks and thrusters to allow for limited use in outer space. This equipment has also been used for dropping Decurions into combat zones from the air, a tactic that has proved somewhat effective for surprising URE forces.
The Decurion's standard armament is a 100mm machine gun but it is also capable of wielding the "Pilum" heavy beam bazooka. Optional equipment includes "System Buster" warheads that can be mounted on the waist and missile pods that fit over the shoulders.
Geez that description took a lot out of me. I make most of it up on the fly and have to scour through all my old descriptions to properly reference stuff and make sure I don't contradict anything.
Anyway I wanted to do a build inspired by Dipo Muh's work, especially his Zaku redesigns. I put a lot of effort into the weapons as well, and really like how the flip-out stock on the rifle turned out as well as how all the parts on the bazooka mesh together. The backpack looks pretty heavy but it stands up pretty well. Only weight issues I've had is with holding the bazooka, where the shoulder guard is kinda necessary.
Today's mech is a sword wielding lime green and copper robot with cool exhausts on the back. Cause why not?

Eldest son of Lord Kihanu and Lady Thrae, and by that same token, rightful Lord of the House of Kihanu. Due to his noble bloodline, he is the leader of the Toa Vihagu. Despite this, even after being entitled with Lordship even before his father's death, he does not consider himself more worthy than those who fight alongside him or for him.
Zerkah is incredibly passionate about his duty, both as a Toa and as a noble. He has seen firsthand what the Malevolent have done to Talis, the place where he was born, and seeks to eradicate the Malevolent from every land he can set foot on. As such, he shows great strength and violence when in battle with the Malevolent, but great sympathy for living beings who are enslaved to the Malevolent's will.
Zerkah is known to become great friends with any who share his desire for the liberation of the islands. However, this overriding desire causes him to often overlook the interests or abilities of those not in tandem with his interests. This can prove troublesome when dealing with teammates - supposedly under his command - that are seeking out their personal interests.
One would expect Zerkah would equip himself with an adorned weapon and expensive, ornate armor, as he had the fortune to do. But instead, Zerkah choose to use his fortune to import some of the ancient but well made Jainad armor, while equipping himself in battle with a common axe. His great strength and elemental potency allow him to use even poorly made axes to deadly effect.
