Hidden away, tucked beneath some bushes was this hand-carved snail-like-mythological creature imploring ALL to Breathe OXYGEN.
Why?
Why the swan
Because the swan floats
up close.
Because the swan has no life
off past the cut-off.
Because the swan is a knife
turned in on itself.
Because the swan erases
unwhite surfaces.
Because the swan is a sign of
what to expect, like a specked cough.
Because the swan isnโt
drawn like an ear. It listens
but it wonโt hear, wonโt look
up in time. Itโs as if itโs stuck.
Because the air shushes sirens,
because the canal divulges silence,
because the curves have been stolen
from whatโs left of the swan,
which is its song, of course โ
the long stretch between locks

When I took this picture, I remembered about Roberto Benigni's La Vita รจ Bella.

Live as if you were a child
... Life is beautiful that way"
this was takin right before my last upload.
gives a little insight to how my last photo was composed and brought me to that top POV.

The little reds can be very mouthy and fresh. They like all the food I put out there though, so they have to put up with me!

While trying some things up in Pioneer Park one night, I took this image after asking myself, "Why not?" I've since came up with several reasons; but, nonetheless, here's the shot.
Thanks for having a look!
I soooooo love leggings! Bought this little blazer jacket this week which is such a cosy and snug fit. I think this makes for a very smart but casual look. I've been busy shopping whilst on my break so lots more pics to come soon! (sorry it's a bit of a grainy pic - bad lighting etc)
"Why are you taking a photograph of a Power Plant", my wife asked, well the answer is that as ironic as it seems these Power Plants, as inextricably linked to environmental concerns as they are actually do have aesthetic appeal. There is an abundance of different shapes and colour within the plant that on a fine day one cannot fail to recognise it's magnetism. Now I will agree that not all Power Plants have this appeal, but I believe this one in South Wales does.
This broom was lying on the floor of an abandoned house, which of course was very messy. It's almost if someone dropped the broom in exasperation and asked, "Why sweep?"
Why are penguins used in Christmas motifs? Santa is North Pole; Penguins are in the southern hemisphere.
We planned a short afternoon walk in the countryside, for which a couple of public footpaths around Kenn looked ideal for exploration. One leads north from Kenn Street, the main road through the village. For about its first 50 metres or so the footpath is shared with a private driveway, at the end of which is a gate, behind which I stood to take this photograph.
Signs had been fixed to the gate advising walkers not to use the public footpath unless absolutely necessary, because of the possibility of spreading Covid-19. As we were reading these signs a man appeared from the door of an adjacent house.
'Are you lost?' he said.
'No, we're just following the footpath ... and photographing the birds,' replied my wife.
'Why?' said the man.
I was dumbfounded by what seemed to me like a completely pointless question. Gauging the situation we retraced our steps to the road and switched to 'Plan B', an alternative footpath that strikes south. This also passes through a farmyard, but our experience there was quite different. Another man appeared from his house as we passed, but he was friendly and showed us how to follow the footpath through his property and beyond.

Why go? When you can stay a while? When you can stay with me, tonight?"
Boy George , if you please, listen to the remix with Faithless.
Taken on an overcast winter day in Transylvania.
The photo is without any modifications, not even Levels, just as downloaded from the camera. Any tips on making it even better?

,,,and that from which its loveliness arises
I don't know why I don't photograph mallards more often. They really are quite lovely ducks.
It's probably because I've lumped them in with all those birds that are just so common in our neck of the woods, you almost overlook them. Like American robins, blue jays, Canada Geese, song sparrows.....
I think I'll try to be more aware of this. All these birds are lovely in their own right, and deserve more attenton than I give them!
do you love birds? Come to Feathery Friday and tell us there are some great photos and stories in there
I love birds because they come in all shapes and sizes and colours and personalities-this Great Crested Flycather is one of my favourites-well all of them are my favourites
