HBM! While exploring a beach, about 5 mins from my home, while Peggy & Ted were visiting. A local guy, named Stan, has built these art installations that look like benches and armchairs and a barbecue pit.. They feel comfortable when you sit on them and enjoy the scenery. Best seen large by pressing L or Z.

Enjoy your day and thanks so much for your visits and comments.

While not creative, seeing that first light feels like seeing it for the first time - every time.

While not exactly a melting temperature today, the sun continues to gain angle strength and snow along roads is no match. The resulting puddle made for a nice canvas to reflect a PRS job spotting ore cars on Dock 6 (400/6260/402). 2/18/19

Taken in the spring of 2017. Haven't been out shooting in a while so I have been going through the archives.

While technically not until tomorrow, it is tomorrow somewhere and I liked the continuity.

Such is life in Florida. Have a great week!

While out looking for birds I came face to face with this fellow. (Near Lake Wivenhoe, Queensland)

While we were away on vacation our dog-sitter, Jim, took her to a backyard party. People threw her ball to her for hours, He said she kept eyeing the pond as she got hotter and hotter until eventually...

I zoomed the lens outward/wider while pressing the shutter for 0.3 seconds, using an ND filter to enable slowing the shutter to help create this effect. Is there a clever name for describing this effect?

While visiting Denali Park we decided to do some driving along the Denali Highway late evening to see what the surrounding area was like. A couple days it rained or was overcast, but we had at least one good evening. These mountains of the Alaska Range aren't special, except in this wonderful evening light!

Taken 6 July 2018 on the Denali Highway, Alaska.

While I am crafting chestnut animals and figures, I find myself back in my childhood – a beautiful return to the days of boundless imagination and joy. It's a heartwarming reminder to stay connected with my inner child and let creativity flow freely.

While the foreground is pretty ugly and unexceptional, I thought this cloud was really cool and wanted to talke a photo of it before it moved on.

While on a little hike through the woods last fall, I came upon this giant wasps nest. It was so quiet, I assumed it was empty and abandoned for the winter. As I got closer, I saw how wrong I was! Look closely....you'll see! Lucky for me, I didn't disturb them from their slumber.

Please view large to see the sleeping wasps!

While the husband was helping some guys get their FJ out of a rutted mud bog, I found this really cool tree that was literally covered with fungus. Very cool.

While visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior on Michigan's upper peninsula, we strolled this beautiful beach near our campground.

While the now deceased owner of this vessel never realized much benefit from it, many others have over the years enjoyed watching the slow decay of the ship.

The QEW is a major highway connecting Toronto to Buffalo NY and is heavily traveled given the amount of cross border trade. Heading west on the QEW just past Grimsby, as you crest a hill the ship comes into sight and for a moment, it appears to almost intersect the highway. Pretty hard to miss ! The full history of the ship can be found in the link below.

While looking at East Canyon Creek Falls, I looked a little farther upstream and found this waterfall where Tule Creek empties into East Canyon Creek. There wasn't any reference to it on the Northwest Waterfall Survey, but the upper part of the creek seems to be known to canyoneers, here: ropewiki.com/Tule_Canyon_(South_Cascades)

Apparently, Black-necked Stilts are okay with calling while flying.

While enjoying a fall like morning at a cafe, it occurred to us that it's 9/11...I'm shocked we actually forgot. I don't feel like I've seen much on the news either...have we all just moved on? I can never forget that day and what I have witnessed first hand living in NYC at the time...

While the sun was slowly setting, a bulk cloud came up and partially blocked the sun rays, dividing them into two parts and creating this harmonious rainbow mood.

(I applied some touches to get that artistic feel).

While the South of Europe is suffering of a tremendous heat here we have, today, + 19 C. (66,2 F)

Rain? Not yet.

While I knew that I was on the Wonderland and I knew where Gertrude was parked, I didn't know that I was going the wrong way..... It wasn't an unpleasant hike, just not the one I was expecting. This gem stood out and since I didn't know what I was looking at it's all the more mysterious. It turns out that this 52 foot drop of Martha here is actually a small part of a 670 foot waterfall. NW waterfall survey says that it is impossible to see it in its entirety, but most of it can be seen from Stevens Canyon Road, no pull out so be careful.

Someday I'll post a pic of the falls themselves, but I like this one because this is how you first see it, exiting the tree line and.... hello.

while exploring for photo opportunities I met this Luscious Red Head. Seems she is named just that :)

While waiting for something good to fly in, the air was still and the lake like glass. I noticed this gull sitting still and waited for it to take off.

I don't get to many opportunities to photograph water that is silently still, so I was thrilled for the opportunity.

Been trying to work a bit with Black Dragon. Not Very good with it but I'm enjoying.

While the people watching at the depot did not know that M399 had a BCOL barn leading (including one who had never heard of BC Rail before), I was ready, and found it different to see something good in daylight.

While I was out walking today I met Molly, a three month old Rottweiler puppy. Gorgeous.

The seasons have changed, nothing has changed

But I know something happened

It's all so different

Do you remember when we arrived one day to believe

That everything was forever, without knowing

That forever, always ends

But nothing can change what's left

When I think of someone, all I think about is you

And then we're fine

Even with so many reasons to leave everything as it is

Neither giving up nor trying now doesn't matter

We are going back home

While watching the sun slowly set over the Aegean Sea I thought of Flickr friends and thought I would set up this glass of Alpha beer to you. Luckily it didn't fall as there were seagulls waiting below hoping for something.

Sorry I am on holiday and not commenting for a while but will be back in about 10 days

While visiting Toronto a while ago, I was downtown and came upon this small park. There was this fountain with these two pigeons on it, so naturally I had to get photos of them. We don't have may brown colored pigeons where I am, so this was kinda cool

While the man attraction of the Raton pass line is the semaphores, another disappearing element of the railroad fabric that lingers on Raton is the code line. Some code lines remain, but the number of conductors and supporting crossarms have dwindled since this view of the eastbound Southwest Limited at Levy, New Mexico.

While their venom isn't dangerous to humans, as crab spiders are generally too small for their bites to break the skin, giant crab spider bites can be painful. Seen here it's eating a wasp.

While travling through eastern Hokkaido we were hit with a strong snow storm. I shot this shot of the big snowflakes near the side of the road. Hope you can see the flakes in this photo. 20250125 Big Flakes Blue - Hokkaido Japan

While camping, during the day there was no shortage of Vireos and Warblers around the camp site. Generally they would be in the trees, but with patience occasionaly one would pop into the open. An immature Yellow-rumped Warbler, that had just chowed down on a Daddy-long-legs spider (the legs still sticking out of its bill).
