The performance of When I Was A Child is a little bit slower than the CD version. Great song of lost innocence.

Nel 1972 a 4 anni a Lavinio (vicino ad Anzio)... Mia sorella (che ha 13 anni più di me) gioca a palla con me...
Foto fatta da mio padre o dal mio fratellone...
Ho tanti ricordi dei pomeriggi di sole di quand'ero bambino. C'erano nuvole bianche sospinte dal vento di Sud-Ovest che si potevano toccare con lo sguardo. Erano proprio lì, dentro il mio angolo di cielo, a un salto dal mio respiro. Ricordo che il vento era sempre mite, a volte caldo. La luce del sole sembrava non spegnersi mai, e il sole stesso sembrava non dovesse tramontare. Il tempo avanzava compiendo piccoli passi, che di sicuro erano più corti di quelli della mia immaginazione. Ricordo di aver fatto milioni di sogni ad occhi aperti, durante quei pomeriggi. Lo sguardo sempre proiettato lì, verso quella che anni dopo si sarebbe rivelata la sorgente del mio amore. Un amore pensato, immaginato, sognato con ogni mio entusiasmo, in tutti i miei pomeriggi assolati di quand'ero bambino.

I have so many memories of sunny afternoons of when I was a child. There were white clouds blown by the South-West wind that could be touched with the eyes. They were right there in my corner of sky, just a jump far from my breath. I remember the wind was mild, sometimes warm. The sunlight seemed it would have never been extinguished, and the sun itself seemed it would have never set. Time used to advance making small steps, which certainly were shorter than those of my imagination. I remember having made millions of daydreams, during those afternoons. My look always projected there, towards what, years later, would prove to be the source of my love. A love thought, imagined, dreamed with all my enthusiasm, in all my sunny afternoons of when I was a child.
