A shot of the western prairie? If that's what you guessed...you're totally wrong. During a trip with a couple of nature documentary filmmakers up to Gregory's Bald in the Great Smoky Mountains, a group of horseback riders came strolling through the open grassy mountain top. It was fun to get low in the grass and shoot up towards the clouds while including different subjects, and in the case of this shot, a horse and rider, complete with cowboy hat. Slightly cropped, otherwise unedited.

My weekly photography project for 2015: One photograph each week of the Stark County Courthouse in downtown Canton, Ohio
Active Assignment Weekly: Oct 31 – Nov 7; Zone System Black and White
What it took
Too cold and wet this week to venture outside, this was actually taken at burger king play-land, They have such large windows in there it makes for great lighting. Took this photo of my brother and converted to BW in CS3. Their faces were exposed farther to the right than I would normally go, but thought it made for a fun photo, and kept your eye on their dark facial features.

I had my camera set on auto, while I focused on my diploma and part of my heels because the theme of this photo is 'graduation'. I graduated on Friday! I didn't want to use any other setting. I just needed to get my focus the way I wanted it. I love how the colors work off of each other, which is partially why I'm proud of this picture. The post processing I did was on Picasa. I chose lomo-ish and then faded it half way. At first I wasn't going to edit this because I thought it looked good the way it was already, but then I figured it needed a little more "pop".
It can take hours to braid hair..depending on how intricate you want the braids to be.
