Week 32 in 52 of 2012 is "In motion".

Once a year ants grow wings, emerge from below the ground and fly off to mate with ants from other colonies and this evening they were on the move here.

1/13 sec exposure. I had not done much with intentionally blurred motion, so I used this week's theme as an excuse to play with it some. I solicited the use of my granddaughter's HexBug toy, taking lots of shots with exposures ranging from 1/30 to 2 seconds. I liked this one as it caught all three bugs with one stopped enough to see its legs.

Most modern roses have little or no scent. Hybridizers of roses have concentrated on form, color and disease resistance at the expense of scent.

I don't remember the name of this rose, it has been planted for decades. While it may not be the most beautiful rose, it has the most divine scent.

Late once again. However, my take on 'Doorways'. These are several of the interesting doorways I saw in Venice last week. So many different types and sizes! I put it together in a collage quickly. I may go back and redo it a little bit.

My feet have taken rather a beating lately and I haven't been good to them. Time to remedy that.

Well, the Tigers finally sucked enough to knock themselves completely

out of the race to actually have a chance to make the playoffs.

 

But this game was good.. had some friends come and watch the Tigers

lose. Eh.. Maybe next year!

The Plains Conservation Center is just a few miles away from where I live. This is a replica of an Arapahoe Indian camp.

For me statues are easier to photo then live people.
