This week you finally started ballet. After a whole summer of talking about it and looking everywhere for the perfect stage to practice your ballet, you actually began your lessons.
As I pulled up your tights and helped guide your little arms through your leotard I had this profound moment. In the last 2.5 years many things have made me feel like a mom, nursing you, rocking you in the wee hours, comforting you, reading to you, tucking you in, but dressing you for ballet was different. It wasn’t just a task I know mothers perform, it was something I vividly remember doing with my mother. And here I was with you, sliding on your ballet shoes, gathering your hair into a “bun,” watching you scamper into the studio without a look back.
Lately, when we are holding hands walking somewhere, I look down at your blonde head and I see you grow before my eyes. More and more every day you are a little girl. The moms, well, we still call you guys toddlers, but you’re not really. You have complicated feelings and articulate words for them. Your world grows bigger every day and so does your personality. Your limbs are getting so long, your torso so lean. The only things that remind me of the baby you were are your still chubby cheeks and the pouty lips I think you are destined to keep forever.
Through the window in the door, I watch your little blonde head bob at the barre. You listen intently and do your best to follow along with your teacher. Unlike every class you’ve ever taken, this class is large and there is only one teacher to manage all of the little girls. For the first time, I’m not on the sidelines within sight. The expectations are different, too. This isn’t a free-for-all. You’re expected to listen carefully, wait patiently and follow directions well. Despite the new seriousness, you all have so much fun. It seems that little girls were born to do ballet.
Every week you confidently walk in and bound out like a puppy dog when it’s over. You love it and ask to go to ballet often during the week. It’s safe to say that you love it just as much as you thought you would.

52 Weeks of 2018
Week No: 10

What do I crave? What can't I resist? Stories. I can't resist a good story. I read, listen, watch, play and occasionally write stories.
People tell stories. We tell stories to entertain, to share our lives, to learn how to live, to see ourselves in the world, to see the way the world could be, to imagine the heroes that could be, to keep the dark away...and I'm a sucker for stories in all shapes and forms.
50/52: Ninja's Whiskers
March 10 - March 16
Week 50!!!
Wow two weeks to go to complete this 52 week project!
I am very excited about that, but at the same time, kind of sad for it's to end.
The other day I found Ninja's whicker on the floor and realized again how thick they were.
Imagine if we had whiskers on our face....
Anyways, I have no idea what I will shoot for the next few weeks, however I would like those to be something inspirational for my photography.
Thank you for visiting my photo stream!!
If you are interested in my work, please check those.

Monday 11th March- Monday 18th March
It's been snowing...
I apologise for once again being late- this time horrendously so. A lot has been happening, some good, some not so great that has taken away from a camera. I'm back in Norfolk now and preparing the final touches to our kayaking trip away, I have a lot of uni work to still complete and it's snowing in March. What?
With how busy I've been, the weather as it is and the fact that Spring is the 21st I feel a tad blown away by it all. Hence the shot. Clinging to Winter with no idea when Spring will actually arrive.
Enjoy the weird weather friends.
Busy week. Grabbed my guitar and played with focus and light.
The strings disappeared into the heavens.

Got the sink installed in my laundry room a few weeks ago and have been keeping my eye on Craigslist for some Darkroom stuff. Went and picked up this set of darkroom supplies yesterday for $75. I think I need some shelves.
Now to figure out how to use it. Who wants to come over and give me a tutorial?

well, the week went by quite quickly, works been fine and didnt have that many annoying customers :o) there was a weird lady who came in with a bright pink plaster on her top lip which i thought was a little odd.
I also felt a little bad when a guy came in with a bad stutter, i didnt understand what he was saying and he had to keep repeating himself, which took quite a while, bless him!!
it was nannys birthday this week (yay!!), i ordered her some flowers and bought her a cake :o) we were supposed to go for a birthday meal yesterday with everyone but then it went and snowed so we had to cancel :o(
yesterday morning me and megan went into the woods to take some pics, we've planed a few more shoots too which we're quite excited about :o) we were both freezing and got covered in mud but we had a great time :o)

Azul muuuito escuro com brilhinhos.
Lindo! Mas em ambientes com luz artificial fica quase preto.
Queria que os brilhinhos aparecessem mais... mas nesse dia o sol não tava legal.

I asked Arthur if he wanted to take a bath. This was how he was hiding. Haha.
-
I posted three videos, in case you want to see it. One of them shows how he's winking, only with the left eye (which is returning to normal). The other one shows him trying to hide to scape a bath and also him barking (arguing with me. If you pay attention you'll see that he have great points), where you can see that only the left side of his face is "working", which makes his expression kind of crooked. And the last one is just to show how happy he looks when taking a shower.
Since the left side of his face is coming back to normal I think it's an improvement, so he's better. Also there's no more fluid coming out of his right nose. Twice as better.
So that's all the news for this week.
Thank you for all the heartwarming messages about Bidu. We truly appreciate your energy.
Stay in peace and have an amazing week, everyone.
