Wk 33 -- One A Week in 2021

Theme Of The Week - Out with the old

slaines face is too funny :)

Wow, five weeks have passed since I started this project! Time is running...

Today I took my bike to take pictures. I haven't done this for months you know? ;)

This week I got the new album from Switchfoot called "Vice Verses" and it's sooo awesome! I recommend this to all! :D

Oh and I play the drums in a band called Zero Gravity and we released our first single "Hey Summer" with a musicvideo ;) I filmed and also cut it, hope you like it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGNQlLtQqpA&feature=channel_v...

wish you a great weekend!

Sorry for the crazy hair. And in the spirit of full disclosure, I didn't have a flat tummy to start with. But still, that's a baby in there!

72 hours. I feel sick, I'm barely awake, and I haven't cracked a smile in weeks. I'm just sitting here, wasting away looking at a pile of uselessness. All these papers, these articles, the photos...every single one of them a dead end! I'm empty handed, with still no idea where he is. Where is he!? I just want one little clue, that's all. Something to give me a slight idea of where I should look. Apparently I'm asking too much. It's been three agonizing weeks, and all I have is paper covering this desk and wall. I....I've had it. I just want this nightmare to end! I'm sick and tired of not knowing what's going on with Tim! I'm sick of wondering if he's alive or not! All I want is---

"S...Stephanie?"

Mike? It's so late. What's he doing here?

"Yeah?"

"Me and Jerrick shook down the Broker. He had nothing."

"So another dry trail?"

"Indeed. I'm...I'm very sorry."

".......I had it......."

"What?"

I wasn't lying. I really did have enough. and I was done bottling it all up, too. I tore myself out of my chair and kicked it across the room. Everything in my head just seemed to...break.

"I'M SICK OF THIS!!! I'M SICK OF DEAD ENDS!!! I'M SICK OF NOTHING HAPPENING!!!"

By this time I've knocked all the scraps off the desk and let it all hit the floor. There was a laptop and some other electronics that broke once they met the floor tiles. I was just too angry, I didn't care. When the desk was empty, I picked it and threw it against the wall, hitting a cabinet along the way.

"I JUST WANT IT TO END!!! I JUST WANT HIM BACK!!!"

I stand there in the mess I made, papers all over the floor, a broken chair, dents in the wall from the desk slamming it. This is where everything shifted. I go from standing up completely blinded by anger, to just falling against the wall, my hands buried in my face, crying like a baby. Truth be told, I don't think I've sobbed this hard since when I was eight and my mom nearly overdosed herself. And I thought that was the worst day of my life. Looks like I have a new one now. I just want to roll over and die now. I can't take anymore of this. I...I wish Tim was here.

"Stephanie....please, listen to me."

Mike again. I get a bad feeling he's asked that more than once now. I was too busy crying my eyes out to hear him the first few times...I pull my face out of my hands and look up at him, tears still rolling down my face. I look in his eyes. I've never seen such a solemn look in someone's eyes

"Stephanie....Timothy is one of the kindest people I've met in my life. I can't begin to tell you how much I owe him. It's the whole reason I'm even here. Whoever did this will pay, Stephanie. We will find Timothy and bring him back home. I swear upon my wife and son's grave, we will. Even if it kills me."

"*sniff* ...th-thank you...."

"Don't worry....Why..why don't you get some rest? I'll clean this up for you, okay?"

"Okay...."

Great, a night of crying myself to sleep. Just what I want to do....

Well, this is a sad one. Perhaps the easter eggs will brighten things up?

Since ‘The Wild One’ in the 1950s the world has been fascinated with the mythic culture of the American biker. Who are these people with the loud motorcycles, leather jackets, tattoos, and long beards? Where are they going as they roar through town in large packs? And what do they do when they arrive wherever they’re going? I RIDE is the film that finally tells the true-to-life story of the biker community in America.

Through the eyes and music of The Fryed Brothers Band, I RIDE will take you on an illuminating road trip through the biker world: bare knuckle fights you actually sign up for, wild bar-b-ques and camp outs, and partying raw and rowdy at some of the biggest hard core biker festivals. This trip will wind up at Sturgis, South Dakota for a Fryed Brother Band performance to end all performances.

The Fryed Brothers Band? They’re the best band you’ve probably never heard of. For 29 years they’ve been the exclusive ‘house band’ of America’s Biker Movement. Every year The Fryed Brothers headline most of the preeminent biker events in America including the Easyriders Show in Sacramento, CA, Rip’s Bad Ride in Irvine, CA, Ghost Mountain Riders Show in Salinas, CA, the Circle of Pride in Iowa, and most importantly, ‘Sturgis Bike Week,’ the largest gathering of bikers in the world, which completely takes over the small town of Sturgis, South Dakota every August to celebrate this outlaw culture.

When they were young, Harry and Tommy Fryed’s older brother Mark died in a accident while riding his beloved Harley. The brother’s resolved then to keep Mark’s memory alive through a devotion to the motorcycle culture and the music he loved... and thus was formed The Fryed Brothers Band. The song ‘I Ride’ -- a key song in their repertoire and in the documentary -- is a tribute to their fallen brother.

I RIDE, the film, is a tribute to their perserverance, dedication and love of all things biker.

Into the woods...

Strange week, its been good and awful in one big confusing mix so in photography i have been quite uninspired! i wish i had done more, these were last minute wander up to the woods as i realised i actually had nothing to post!

Have a good week everyone!

But don't give up, it's not the end

There's hope for every fallen man

Week 1 / 52 Ginny For the group: 52 Weeks for Dogs

Playful, happy, cute, loves to run, not brave, hates traveling in the car, loves her and our bed, suffers from tennis ball obsession. Sometimes she just stays quiet thinking..like this. i love her.

YAY! Just one more week until Christmas!

Poor Joey has caught a pretty nasty 'bug' and is home sick. I can remember being sick at Christmas as a kid, it sure stinks! I hope he gets better soon and doesn't give it to his Mommy and I. ;-)

week 22/52

For the girls' fifth photoshoot challenge, they each were asked to pose for a test shoot for new teenage fragrance 'SHINE'. Each girl posed in a pool of glitter alongside the perfume bottle and were asked to showcase what the fragrance is all about - being yourself and just shine!

The girls did not have to interact with the product but did have to look appealing and eye-catching to the audience.

Who do you think dazzled bright this week and who do you think came to a hault? Please leave your critiques and callouts below!

Here's another easy one. It's a perfect cube, if the four curved edges are ignored.

Part restrictions:

NO Half-Pins

NO Brick, modified 1x1 with stud on side

Your final must look like mine, with these exceptions:

•Color is irrelevant; don't worry if you don't have all these in black.

•The curved edges I used here may be substituted with this, as the end results are the same.

•Dust and cat hairs are optional.

Once you think you have solved it, privately show or explain to me how yours is done. I have the final say on whether it is "correct". If yours checks out, I will give you this week's follow-up puzzle, which you can solve to earn an extra point in the same way.

If you have any questions, ask here or FM me. I will reveal how I did it at the end of the week. Happy building!

This is the Fastnet Lighthouse off the South West Coast of Ireland. It is very unusual to see the seas so calm here. Some of you might remember the Fastnet Yacht disaster in 1979. Storms during the race wreaked havoc on over 306 yachts taking part in the biennial race, resulting in 18 fatalities (15 yachtsmen and 3 rescuers). Emergency services, naval forces, and civilian vessels from around Ireland and the west side of the English Channel were summoned to aid what was the largest rescue operation in peace-time.

Straw dog

I'd been planning this shot for a few weeks as the grass turned to straw during the heatwave. Only problem, it was too hot to take Fudge for a walk during the day when the sun was shining on this bank of grass. The weather has cooled somewhat and we've even had some welcome rain. This week marked the 8th anniversary of us getting our golden boy, as Fudge arrived as a very cute puppy on July 20th 2010.
