Pit Photographers are funny...

A few weeks ago, we worried that Olive was going to get quickly frustrated by her inability to crawl. Before she could roll over or sit up with help, she seemed highly displeased with her station in life. Once she gained a little independence, she blossomed into a happy baby. We've been lucky that Olive has just found other ways to get around. She scoots on the hardwoods and rolls around like crazy. She can pivot while sitting and turn herself completely around. She is able to bend over so that she's flat on her belly to reach something and then pop back up. She's the last of her age in her playgroup to learn to crawl but she no longer seems to be in a big hurry.

She's such a happy baby. She smiles a ton and likes to interact with strangers. She does this thing when we hold her. She kind of stretches over our shoulders and looks around like an owl with her eyebrows raised and her eyes wide open. She just looks so curious.

She's mastered feeding herself finger foods. She continues to love to eat and especially enjoys feeding herself chunks of steamed sweet potato, apple, butternut squash and broccoli. She's a certified puff addict. As soon as we sit her in the high chair she tries to turn around to reach the container and will cry at the end of a meal if we don't give her a little puff amuse bouche.

This weekend scholars took part in "Get Your Feet Wet," a single class that allows them to try out a subject they have little experience in. Topics they could choose from included Sushi Making, Shibori Tie-Dye, and Oreo Stacking.

Do you ever feel stuck at your desk and wish you could move a little while you’re working? Suzie Carmack from CenteredBeing Studio provided a super informative and fun event that got PAHO staff moving and taught them to keep active, even at their desk.

I will not come up for anyone

I could slowly sink in

School starts, stress is back, less free time, but this week was great :).

Wednesday I had football training, well I couldn't take part because of my fractured finger, but we made a photo in our jerseys. I'm keeper and my jersey is yellow. I mean real yellow, it's neon yellow. Oh I hate this colour for a jersey, but I can't do anything to get another colour :/.

On Friday I went dancing :). Haha, we're only 12 boys, but twice as many girls :D. In the afternoon I went to a friend :). Great day! Great week :D. Yeih. Perfect to start this project.

Fishing for Dinner

I had no TV since two weeks and the electrician of my new house management is in holidays for two more weeks. I couldn't deal with this situation and so I bought a indoor antenna on Thursday. I love watching TV...

This week is imperfection, and though I think my boy is pretty darn perfect…it’s hard not to notice he’s no longer a pup! He will be 7 this year and is starting to get that white snoot. This time of year his normally black nose turns all sorts of crazy pinks and browns…we call it his snow nose. Here is him- up close and personal.

2021 Fall Welcome Week

Here's another shot from my week 2 shoot with my wife. I had a lot of fun editing this one. I may post a before & after later...we'll see!

A nice warm week, plenty of sunshine even with the shortening days. Evidently good butterfly weather so the brassicas need netting. Nets don't protect against slugs, though; yesterday I noticed one of my cavolo nero seedlings had been thoroughly snacked on, and I didn't have to look far to find the plump brown and orange suspect sliming away from the scene of the crime...

There have also been lots of eager new theatre school students walking past this week. Hot gossip: if you always add the college to your tweets you get followed by loads of directors and people like that, and we don't quite know about Jas because she's really pretty and everything but she's kind of oblivious to *stuff*.

Oops, Courtesy week almost got away without me posting this.

Shouldn't every week be courtesy week? Come on Chicago.

Edward J Kelly was mayor from 1933-1947, so I guess that is when this was out.

Seen at a paper show. I thought of buying it, but didn't.

Jewellery in one half of a coconut shell. The owl was a birthday present from my parents.

HOW FUCKING PREGNANT CAN YOU BE?

I mean really, this is getting a little embarrassing!

There is a lot about wine that reminds me of our friends on Kaua'i. There were times when it seemed we went through this many corks in a weekend. Saving the corks is an idea that I got from Joe and Chelsae. In addition, we were frequent visitors at different wine tastings around the island. We have some pretty great stories about consuming wine while the four of us travelled Greece as well.

Melly's Belly @ the end of week 28

Week Seven

This is basically what I do every night: draw a bubble bath and bring a bottle of tea and a notebook with me, hoping that inspiration strikes. It never does.

This week was somewhat exciting.

Valentine's day was on Monday; my boyfriend and I went to see the King's Speech and went to dinner (breakfast in my case) at a greek restaurant.

On Friday, I had a French scholarship competition. That went well, I suppose.

Finally, on Saturday, I went to see Escape the Fate, Alesana and Motionless in White with my best friend, Erica. I don't even listen to them anymore; I just wanted a bit of nostalgia.

I think my concert days are over...

Hrmmmph...No flowers this time...no walk....no photo shoot...no nothing. Mom kept leaving me and then coming home with her camera and smelling like other dogs. I kept waiting all weekend for our shoot, and this this is all I get.

This was the one time a bear charged during the week. Our guide ran out and encouraged her to run around us.

She loves her blue ballerina dress. She twirls everywhere she goes, which makes me love it!
