The Granada's castle for the Painting-a-week group.

It's a very fast drawing(30 min. Sorry Sandy, i just wanted to post ;))with no reference :S

The tower is called "La torre de la vela" and hides a really nice tale that i will tell u soon ;)

It's amazing to see the sunset when the lights are on and giving that special light from within the wood (it happens for about 9:30 p.m. on summer)

Started a 52 Week Project today.

2009-2010 I did a 365 project which I started the first week of October. I thought I would give a 52 week project a go now :).

Expect at least one photo from me a week.

Enjoy!

I sought routine and normalcy; I am unfolding and coming back to myself.

2021 Fall Welcome Week

I was such a go-getter today, on the last day of vacation. I kept my usual early morning session with my trainer, and then Boomer and I were at the farm by 8:45. You know what? It's a lot easier to get a parking space that early than at lunchtime. Also, the pick-your-own was a bit easier because the front-of-the-rows stuff hadn't already been picked over. What I learned today is that I need to quit my job, because work just gets in the way of doing stuff.

Anyway, our haul today was two Chinese cabbage, one bunch of scallions, two heads of fennel, six bell peppers, three cucumbers, three summer squash, three heads of garlic, 1 1/2 pounds of chard, six pounds of heirloom tomatoes, 3/4 pound of teensy cherry tomatoes, and 12 pounds of slicing tomatoes. Our pick-your-own bounty was another 3/4 quart of heirloom cherry tomatoes, 1 1/2 quarts of sauce tomatoes, 30 hot peppers, 1 1/2 quarts of edamame, three quarts of okra, and one bunch of sage.

the memories echo

It feels great to wake up and see the sun shining bright outside, waiting for you to get up and find inspiration. I love weeks like the one I had, it makes me feel great and happy and I'm trying to keep my mood like my current one and I would love if things will stay this way for some time. I like them.

Week 20's theme was "vintage" and I chose to use a "vintage" edit.

This probably looks extremely rushed, but I love it and I loved this little baby sea turtle! When I walked up to their tank, it popped its adorable little head up and looked straight at me, almost as if they were smiling. :) I know it isn't the best photo and this little one is out of focus, but keep in mind he/she was in a glass tank and we were not allowed to use flash and I am very shaky with my camera. =P

This was taken when Brian's parents were visiting us and they took us to Jekyll Island and the Sea Turtle Hospital/Museum.

So, basically I can't recall what week this was technically taken for, but oh well. I suppose this happens when you let yourself fall behind by four weeks. =/ After I get caught up, I won't let it happen again!

This is so much more fun than my water droplet challenge a couple of weeks ago !!

That such a variation in colours can be achieved with the same bubble is amazing.

I had an extremely rustic setup using baking paper as my diffuser with a lamp over the top of it. I found that the closer the paper was to the bubble the better the shot. I also found that every bubble being a different size meant having to adjust focus or move the tripod slightly. I did not use a flash.

It is a Tradition of the Catholic faithful to do Visita Iglesia during Holy Week.

Visita Iglesia is a Lenten tradition of Roman Catholics to visit seven churches to contemplate on the passion and sufferings of Jesus Christ and say two Station of the Cross per visit.

Others, visits fourteen.

Week 9 of 52.

My marathon training this past week had to be reduced due to a hamstring injury. While going through my options for helping it heal, and preventing further injuries, I decided to start performing yoga again in my basement.

The lucha libre was, well, just for fun :)

Well this was a definite challenge. I had no idea what a composite was when I started. This week was my daughters cheer competition in Abbotsford. As I thought about what I wanted to accomplish for a composite, I thought I would take the my daugheter's eye and expand the pupil and add a cheer image. Well I am not yet advanced enough to do this but after about 3-4 hours and experimentation with a brand new program to me this is what I came up with. I am happy with this first attempt at a composite image.
